Very cute little establishment in a great old town area. The building is beautifully finished and very updated inside. We enjoyed our meal and would definitely go back. They also had seafood option shrimp and tilapia which I always go for! Over 20 minutes at table, no service - not even waters. Other customers tried getting wait staff for us as well but they told not their table. Tried switching tables so we could get service but told no other tables when we clearly saw open tables. Left with no food or service. read more

Ambiance was really cool here. We came in from Texas and found this place on Yelp. Waitress was super sweet, but she seemed new. The pastor tacos were more of a guisada than actual street tacos. Hot salsa had great flavor but was more of a mild profile with an adobo sauce flavor. I'd come back again but try the taco plate. read more

We were pleasantly surprised by this little small town restaurant. The restaurant is beautiful, modern, and clean. The servers were personable and attentive. We tried Empire after being told of a giant taco that they offered. The Super Taco is given to you in a pizza box. We were immediately excited with the challenge that awaited us... until we opened the box. The taco was underwhelming. I'm not sure why it is served in that size of box. I knew that it wouldn't take up the entire box, it was not even close to half the size. It's what's on the inside that counts, right? That would be a no. Bland. We paid extra for the ribeye, which was cooked nicely. So bland. The beans? Bland, with an off putting taste. The flavor was almost as if they used the beans that have the ham flavor when you're making a pot of ham and beans. The tortilla was toasted nicely. We ordered the hot Cheetos chicken strips. We got the strips without the chicken. The coating was not different than any other chicken strip. My wife enjoyed the sauce that came with it. Normally this would be a one star, but the service was extremely prompt and were very accommodating. If I hadn't of been driving 30 minutes home, I would have take this food back. No extras on tables: salt and pepper, sugar selections for iced tea, extra napkins or spoons. Dark depressive decor, thermostat set on cold. All other diners were served chips and salsa, nothing offered to us. Maybe it was on the menu as an appetizer for $$ and we missed it. No one offered a refill on drinks until we had finished our meal. Inattentive staff? Did not see any evidence of covid prevention, no masked staff or hand sanitizer available. We wanted to support a new local restaurant during the pandemic, so we ordered some food to go. Staff was very friendly and very careful about sanitizing. The chips and salsa were homemade and very good. I ordered a quesadilla which turned out to be more like a soft taco with a little bit of cheese and some dried chicken. My husband ordered chicken enchiladas with sauce on the side, which looked and tasted just like my quesadilla. The spanish rice on the side tasted like a packaged mix. Each meal cost about $10 which seemed very overpriced for what we got. I'm hoping they're just working out some issues and that quality will improve. I had the combo platter. The beef in the taco is well seasoned, the sauce on the enchilada was the best I've tasted in a long time. The bean and cheese burrito was ok, nothing special, but overall, a good value. We split sopapillas and dream chips for dessert. The sopas had a lovely cream cheese drizzle and were light and crispy. Dream chips were basically dessert tortilla chips dusted with powdered sugar and your choice of drizzle. We had the PB&J drizzle which was quite good. The service was excellent, even with our server being the only working in the dining room. He kept apologizing for how long things took, but honestly, we didn't notice any lack on his part.
