I appreciate the staff who some have remembered my name and enjoyed having Everett as a coach. This location also offers more times, especially in the evenings, which are helpful when I have busy work days. It's also across the street from the Whole Foods and I'm able to grab food/groceries before heading home. Really convenient.

It…read morewon't work to join as the location isn't as convenient as the Capitol Hill OrangeTheory, but here's my experience. 1) Check-In: You need a code to get into the basement, but luckily a member walked in at the same time and let me in. The coach introduced me to the workout and checked in on my throughout the 50 minutes. Many of the members were very friendly, making it a point to say hi and check on me as a first timer. 2) Workout: I know their workouts change, but the one I went to at 4:30pm on a Thursday in May involved five different stations- boxing, weights, jumping, kettle balls, and a shuffle run. You line up behind a color dot based on the size of the weights you want to work with. For this workout, we went around the room six times- two starting with easier weights, two on medium, and two heavy. We spent 40 seconds at each station with 20 seconds to transition. It was a great workout and it kept my heart rate up. 3) Coach: She knew her workout and was super friendly and approachable. 4) Space: There's cubbies to keep your belongings, a drinking fountain, and restrooms. If you're looking for a community-minded gym with great coaches, I recommend MABabolic.

I don't know if they screw over customers because they just don't care about them or because they're struggling so much that they need scrape every dollar whether it's honest or not. It was difficult to get a class time. But if you miss a class because you're a couple minutes late, or wake up sick,l or sore, or if there just isn't parking available, they will charge you fee and you'll never know until you check your bank account. I cancelled the my membership because getting a class was such a pain, but they continued to charge me for months. I tried to ask for a refund, they refused even though they knew that I hadn't been at a class for months. I eventually contacted my bank asking for help. Ask them to print the contract for you and read the fine print before you sign anything! Better yet, join W0RK instead. They are much more transparent, customer friendly, and the place is bigger and doesn't fill up.

The layout of the gym is nice with treadmills in the back and then the rowers with weights in the front. There are water fountains inside and sweat towels in the lobby. We walked in and did a group class this weekend. We parked right in front of the place, which was…read morenice. The coach was great and extremely attentive to the whole group. He helped everyone there use the proper form when doing dead lifts, upright rows, and the other exercises, he had his eyes on everyone. We started with very smart warm up routine, which I don't do enough of when I work out in my own way, so it was eye opening and very helpful learning experience that I walked away with. Everything we did there was about working multiple muscle groups, and we alternated between weights and cardio exercises, so we got a very good workout, much better than when we go to the gym and do our own thing. The atmosphere was friendly, warm, and inviting. The class was fast paced but not confusing, the way some places are, like (to me) Orange Theory. We recommend this place and will return.

Loved the training sessions but when I exited the program, my bank account continued to be debited…read more Despite repeated assurances (via texts from Corey) that my membership would be cancelled, my account was automatically debited for SEVEN MONTHS (at $299/mo). The email address I was provided to cancel bounced back to me. If I try to login to my account to manually cancel, I get a pop up that requires me to enter into a year long contract at $299 per month. You cannot exit out of this pop-up without agreeing to the contract. Therefore I cannot even cancel my account on my own. The bank is now involved and if they cannot resolve the issue it's on to small claims court for the more than $2,000 I am owed. Yes, I should have gotten the bank involved sooner before this escalated, but Corey is a nice guy and I believed him when he repeatedly told me he would resolve the issue. Go for the training sessions, but be prepared to put a stop payment on Belin Fitness when you leave. Also be sure to save/document all of your conversations in writing (fortunately I have a text and email history) so you have backup for your bank and small claims court. For me, the 10lb I lost was not worth the $2,000+ or the hours I've now had to invest trying to clean up this mess.
