And I'm not lying that's the cost of the more expensive dogs there. The cheapest are $3000. You can go to the pound or other shelters to actually help rescue dogs. Prior to selecting them I spent several hours on the phone with Heather -- who was extremely knowledgeable about Mastiff history, and her blood lines -- and asked many questions to assess my qualifications to be a Mastiff owner. We also discussed whether we wanted a puppy for showing and potentially breeding (which we did) or pet quality.She regularly sent pics of our puppy from the time he was born, until we went to collect him. (They are all indoor pics of the puppies romping, eating, playing and interacting with the family). When we went to pick up our puppy, we were invited into the house. A note about health testing. Whilst our puppy's parents were not health tested, their parents were. Additionally, DND's lines included Greiner Hall -- who have not, and so far as I know do not -- having faith in their very successful and rigorous breeding program. DND also had a contract that we signed, that was well designed to protect the puppy over his life-time. We found DND's pricing very reasonable; and, knowing how much money it actually requires to produce and whelp a Mastiff litter, we can't imagine they have made money on their puppies. Our "puppy" is currently five years old, and aside from the allergies to feed with grain or processed chicken -- which are ubiquitous in the breed -- there has never been anything wrong with him.

She is now on phenobarbital which has thankfully been working so far. The fact that it's working tells the vet that she is epileptic. Of course I called breeder for help, insight about this. Letting her know I wasn't blaming them, I just thought maybe they could give me some advice. NEVER CALLED BACK!!!!!! If anything.....wouldn't they want to know the details about her health so they don't continue to breed her bloodline. She doesn't know what the outcome is because she never bothered to call back. DO NOT BUT YOUR MASTIFF FROM THEM!!!! PLEASE!!!!! They don't deserve to be making money off these beautiful dogs. THEY DO NOT HEALTH TEST THEIR MASTIFFS EITHER. And they tell you all the dogs are I. The home with them, being raised as part of the family. BULL SHIT!!!! We couldn't even see our Peanuts dad let alone meet him cuz he was aggressive. That ones on me too!!! I'm a sap for cuteness, so coming here is a mixed bag. I love seeing all the animals, but I feel so…read morebad for them. The pups and kittens look deprived of attention and stuck in a small, cold, steel and plastic cage (no blankets or pillows). And the chinchillas (a nocturnal animal) are placed right next to all of the birds (who are in the process of raising the largest racket every time I'm there). And still I return. The staff member in the lizard area was incredibly helpful in explaining what would work for first time owners. Yesterday, we were in search of guinea pig prices (and without a perks card for other stores, this is the cheapest place with $33). They had about 4, though they were all a bit skiddish. The best part of the trip were the bunnies. Two black and one white, but only the white one was shy, the two black ones were more than willing to hop on over for a pet. Oh my heart melted!! Come here for some of the animals, but not for the supplies (waaay over priced).

We had paid fully for our dog by the end of the first month however, Comenity/Bread put the money in the wrong account. They had to refund cause they couldn't transfer into proper account. They over refunded meanwhile charging interest on both accounts. Straightening out their mistakes took a total of 4 months with many many calls all lasting at least 30 min to 1hour. Don't do it!!!
