When walking in the building I was greeted by the friendly ladies at the reception desk. There is a Care Manager, Brenda, that knows just about everything about everything when it comes to resources that seniors may need. She does a 30 minute consultation to evaluate your needs. She introduces the resident businesses to you, and gives you information for other resources that are of interest to you. On the tour of the facility--and it is lovely--she discusses the businesses located there and how they may be able to assist. There is a library of senior resources, an auditorium and cafe area, and a living options showroom in addition to the businesses. The living options showroom is full of information--Independent Living Communities, 55+ Communities, Assisted Living Facilities, and Skilled Nursing Facilities. But what impressed me even more is the calendar of events--all events are free! The Senior Club meets on Mondays, there are Zumba and Tai Chi classes, various financial planning classes, Medicare educational classes, hearing tests, caregiver workshops, and so much more! Everyone is friendly and helpful. The questions I needed answers to were addressed to my satisfaction. When my mother was here on vacation, I brought her there and she was very impressed as well. This is exactly the kind of place she would love to have as a resource to her in SC. I have referred many people to this facility, and would recommend it to anyone who is caring for or assisting a loved one and has questions--about anything!
