The facility is lovely and the rooms are spacious by European standards. I paid 10 € extra to get a newly-renovated room and it was worth it in my opinion. I was provided second-level quarters in one of the detached buildings. My room featured a balcony replete with table and chairs to allow enjoyment of the late summer weather. The staff were wonderfully pleasant. The person who checked me in was quite helpful. And the woman who was in charge in the morning was easily one of the most pleasant and likeable people I have ever met. The breakfast offering was more than adequate featuring a typical European spread with eggs, meat, pastries, breads, cereals, juices, cold meats, yogurt and fruit. The coffee was also rather good. The room rate was €98 and one of the best hotel bargains I have experienced in a while. I would recommend this place without hesitation. It's only a few km to Basel and to the Roche and Novartis facilities. The price beats the prices in Basel by a long shot.
