Not only do they have someone at the door offering free samples to lure in people, but they will also let you try any kind of chocolate. I was in heaven! We took home an assortment of chocolate pieces plus these marshmallow type chocolates that came in dark, milk, coconut and even strawberry flavor! It is a great place to grab a gift for someone - they had lots of gift box ideas! I will be keeping them in mind if I ever need anything. You can even get little individual packaged chocolates as well - kind of like how Ghirardelli does it, only better! Everyone working at Laderach was super nice and knowledgeable! One of the employees told me that the chocolate is flown in fresh from Switzerland every week and it really shows! They also carry candy and other goodies. I love nostalgic candy even though I am about 135 pounds but like a nibble here and there! We were under a time constraint so I just bought bubble gum that lights up..like when you were a little kid! The nice lady at the register gave us some history of the store and how long it had been around. Very interesting! Be sure to look at the old photos when you visit! The location is pretty good, as they are located near many restaurants, so it's perfect place to go to after dinner at a nearby restaurant. Some of my favorites are the chocolate chip minis. They are a perfect size because sometimes the regular size cookies are a bit too large. The pricing isn't the best but a quality product sometimes can get expensive. I also enjoy the fact that they give you a free cookie on your birthday.
