We have NOT received the service paid for cleaning our home. Juli, the owner, says we called months after our cleaning to ask for 2 hours more cleaning. Our children purchased this service for us, and two ladies came to clean. It was NOT deep cleaning. They were here for 2 hours, and said the service still owed us another 2 hours. I have called at least 3 times, and emailed. We have since hired a great lady who does a deep cleaning. She has washed our windows, moved furniture to clean underneath, down on her knees to vacuum under the beds. All of this for $15 an hour. DO NOT USE EMILY'S ELVES!! My family purchased a gift certificate for my parents in Blairsville for four hours worth of cleaning. The cleaners showed up and spent TWO hours there, verbally promising to credit them for the remaining two hours. However, when my mother attempted to schedule the second visit, they wouldn't return her phone calls or answer emails. The only email communication that my mother has received are advertisements from them. I called and left a message that I was interested in their service. The prospect of new business got Julie, the owner, to respond. I explained the situation and that we would like for her to provide the service that we paid for. She explained that they clean "up to four hours and will not give a refund if they only spend two hours cleaning, but WILL CHARGE MORE if they are there over four hours". Incredulous, I asked her if she thought it was fair to work for two hours when we had paid for four hours. At that point, she began to yell at me and hung up on me!! Julie of Emily's Elves must be raking in the cash between ripping off her customers AND her workers!! The cleaners who spent two hours at my parents house told them they were only paid $10 per hour!! I wish I could give Emily's Elves lower than one star. What follows is an email sent to Julie, owner of Emily's Eves on 8/24/2017. She has not responded or returned our key. I now believe she fraudulently billed us for services that were not provided. "Julie, We do not understand your invoice for $330.00 We don't believe the deep cleaning occurred. You may remember, the previous owner had the electricity cut-off, which was unknown to us. Julie, you called my wife directly on 8/10 to report this. The electricity was off, thus the water pump was off, so no water. That same day our painter, Max Lovingood was here painting. He also called us about the electricity problem. He also told my wife that two individuals from your company were at our home for a very short time. So my question is, what did they do without electricity or water? On 8/10 you told my wife that your cleaning crew would return on either 8/14 or 8/15. That never happened. Your husband was also supposed to mow our yard on 8/15, which never happened. On 8/16 my wife stopped at your office and spoke Olivia and Emily. My wife spoke to Emily and told her that we no longer needed the cleaning service and that we needed our house key returned. Emily also told my wife that your husband was still planning to mow, which also did not occur. Julie, we would like specific details on what your cleaning crew did on 8/10 without electricity or water. We would also like our house key returned. We can stop by and pick it up when you are at your office, or you can mail it to us. I feel that your invoice is either a mistake or you are trying to take advantage of us. I was a very successful businessman for over 30 years. I am very disappointed in your service and communication. I suggest you call me to discuss this email. Do not use this company! Unreliable, unprofessional and very poor business practices. There are very few cleaning services in the area and admittedly, we gave them too many chances. Never had the same crew. Only once was our home really clean and sadly, this was the only visit i was present during the cleaning. Final visit blew our minds... We have cameras. Was told 11am arrival. The two person crew showed up at 1. At 1:30 notification of movement from cameras, saw them making repeated trips bringing in supplies from their car (what were they doing in my house for 30 min???). Text Julie to inquire. She defended her crew. Made it clear we had cameras and that arguing/defending wasn't going to work. You won't even believe this.... the crew then left! Never cleaned. She told us over 24 hours later-yep, text message 6pm the following day. refusal to make this right by suggesting they were downsizing as a company and would not be able to clean our house. Best part.... her husband-wife team caught on our camera speaking so disrespectfully about Julie (owner). Horrible experience! Do not trust this company with your home, time and money. Repeated phone messages not returned, same for e-mail. A 4 hour minimum call that suddenly appeared on their bill for the third month. Girls that arrive an hour & a half late. Some girls very slow & methodical, others done with a 4 hour job in just over two hours (& when I checked up afterward I saw why - less than half of the job got done) If you just need somebody to make the bed & vacuum that got done but don't look under the bed or in back of the sofa, that they didn't bother with. Assured that they will have enough girls to cover so that i will never miss a service. Then I get a phone call - So n so called in sick - I have no one to send. 2 hours late. Only 2 of 3-person crew showed up. Both of these had poor work habits very disorganized. The older of the 2 kept moaning and groaning. Deep clean means complete dusting in every nook and cranny. I had to do the nook and crannies myself -- hadn't even been attempted. Deep cleaning means no cobwebs left... well, there were plenty remaining. Window sills were left dirty. They should have vacuumed my furniture and curtains and didn't. Lamp shades should have been cleaned with clean, damp cloth. Not! In fact, I provided cleaning cloths. They left a full trash bag in the middle of my kitchen. Didn't polish the sinks. Left dirty dishes, too. Didn't sweep the deck. In fact, there was more of what they didn't do than what they did do. I had agreed and paid a fee of $250 for a 3-person crew for 4 hours of DEEP cleaning and got 2 broken-down un-professionals for 3 hours of sub-par cleaning. NEVER AGAIN. read more

The owner was very rude when I called to set up an appointment. She sent someone on a day that I had to deal with a foster child in court and told Juli that day would not work for me. I said I would write a check when the women was done. There were supposed to be 2 women cleaning my home, only 1 showed up. This woman worked hard for 6 hours and came back to finish my home the next day, just as she promised. The woman who cleaned did not do the inside of my fridge or stove (I told Juli I did not want them too). I called Juli to pay her (decided to use a credit card instead) but before I did I went over my house. The woman who cleaned did a very good job, but did not do the kitchen at all. I told juli this, and she said I told her I didn't want the kitchen done at all. I told her I wanted the kitched cleaned, just not the inside of my fridge or stove. She said she would aend her back, but she never came. I have tried and tried to call, email, and message Emily's Elves on facebook to ask for someone to finish the job I payed for. She is saying I did not pay (I gave her my credit card number and it was charged), and not to worry because she is NOT going to pay her employee because they did not perform what she was suppose to.
