My husband and I have been on the hunt for new auto insurance as our current insurance provider has…read morebeen increasing our semi-annual premiums over 20% for the last 3 times with no claims/changes on our record. My husband put in an online request for State Farm representative to give us a call for a quote. We got lucky that Kelly Holmes got our inquiry. Kelly who immediately made us feel comfortable and valued, took his time to understand our needs and concerns for rate increases across the State of FL. At the time of our 1st conversation, the quote did not look like it was going to be cheaper, but Kelly spoke on the phone with me for about 20 minutes without making me feel rushed or feeling like it was a waste of his time. Actually, it was the opposite, he apologized that State Farm could not win our business and said that he would send us a thank you e-mail with current quote just in case. We then decided to give Kelly another chance by seeing if he is able to bundle auto and home insurance for better pricing. The reason for this review is because our current auto insurance agent has had our business for the last 7 years and always made us feel like we were a bother when we asked any questions. Kelly however, who was a representative on the phone, who we had never met, made us feel like we have known him for years. He empathized with us, reiterated the importance of having a solid coverage as well as provided valuable advice. We ultimately decided to switch insurance agents. We couldn't be happier to be back with State Farm, as we used to have them for years before switching. Thanks Kelly and the rest of the Beahn's team for providing fantastic customer service to us! We look forward to partnering with you.

TopSafe insurance was good the first year and a half. This renewal was a nightmare all thanks to…read morethe owner Laura. My policy was terminated by the company at no fault of mine. I reached out to Laura she advised I needed to pay for a wind mitigation and 4-point inspection and stated my inspections from when I purchased the house in 2020 would not be valid for the company she was trying to move me to. She provided a number to an inspection company and told me to tell them she referred me to them. While I was in the process of that I received an email from Laura that said my renewal was complete. So I did not schedule the inspections. Fast forward to today I was made aware by my mortgage company that my insurance has expired and they don't have anything on record. I called Laura who immediately took no responsibility and said she "told me what I needed to do". I told her about the email I received saying I was all set and her reply was" that was an automatic email, I told you what I needed to renew you." I acknowledged that but again brought the email to attention that is contrary to her statements. She again dodged responsibility and when I asked her why she didn't contact me she said it's not her responsibility and that she "can't call all her clients." This blew my mind that's literally her job and I told her that. She was again nonchalant repeated that she told me what to do and she didn't reach out because she didn't know if I went with another company. I told her I would schedule the inspections and might get back to her and her incompetence if I could not find an alternative route. I asked for the info again to the inspectors and she said she would email it to me. She never sent the email. I found the original email with the Company she recommended and requested I plug that she referred me. When I contacted this company they advised me they don't cover my area. Laura is so incompetent she referred me to somebody who could not help me. Hey Laura I found another agent that gave me the same quote from the same company you claimed I had to have a new inspection in order to receive coverage and guess what they used the inspection reports from when I purchased the house. I now have coverage no thanks to you or TopSafe Insurance. So again you failed to provide accurate information and customer support. Terrible costumer service and does not have your best interest at heart in her words "not her job to contact everybody she works with." I would not recommend her to anybody! I thought an insurance brokers job is to stay in communication with their clients... not Laura she shouldn't be expected to do her job. Her words not mine

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Ray Mathews - State Farm Insurance Agent…read morein Tampa Palms, Tampa. On September 5, 2025, I received an unsolicited solicitation letter at my new address. To be very clear, I never requested any information, never inquired about services, and am unsure how my personal data was obtained in the first place. This type of unsolicited contact is not only intrusive but also a violation of personal privacy. In today's world, where personal information security is paramount, receiving marketing materials without consent is unacceptable. What's more, the letter itself did not include a clear opt-out method, leaving me to take time out of my day to demand removal from all mailing, marketing, and solicitation lists. I have formally requested that my information be immediately and permanently removed from their records. Any further unsolicited communication will be considered a direct violation of my privacy, and I will take additional measures if necessary. Privacy should not be treated lightly, especially by professionals in positions of trust like insurance agents. Overall, this experience has left me extremely dissatisfied. I expected a higher standard of professionalism from a company that represents a national brand like State Farm. I urge anyone considering contacting this agent to think twice and to be aware that unsolicited solicitations may occur. Customer service, respect for privacy, and professionalism are the bare minimum expectations, and unfortunately, in my case, they were completely unmet. I hope this review encourages the agent and the company to improve how they handle personal information and respect potential clients' privacy.
