During that time I had to look for medical care elsewhere and discovered Pacific Medical. My initial contact was with a receptionist (name ?) who was the most pleasant receptionist I believe I've ever met. She was so helpful and arranged an appointment for me to meet a new PCP (Primary Care Physician). She transferred all my medical records from UW Medicine making the process painless. Did I mention the receptionist was so very pleasant? After my initial meeting with my new PCP, I was thoroughly impressed with the staff at Pacific Medical. The medical facility is really close by my apartment, so traveling back and forth is not a problem. Lots of parking, with about half dozen Handicap parking stalls directly out from the front door of the clinic. Perhaps the time spent with negotiations between Aetna & UW Medicine was my good luck.

I was extremely nervous, but once we started talking, he was such a kind and caring man, that my nerves just faded. I felt like he listened to me and we worked out the best possible scenario for my needs. One thing I really appreciate about him is that he sat down and talked with me without typing. Every doctor I have been to in the past types their notes as they talk to me and I don't really feel heard. I am very grateful that I found him and I also want to say how appreciative I am of his nurse, Caroline, for reaching out to me personally the week prior to see how I was doing. I can't remember any prior doctor's office staff reaching out to me like that and she spent a considerable amount of time talking to me. I felt so much better after our chat! I definitely believe Dr. McLaughlin when he says Pac Med puts their patients first.

I didn't have to wait very long when I arrived which was great, and the nurse and staff were nice to me when taking vitals and such. But, I would recommend to double check you EOB from your insurance to make sure that they are not over charging you because of what happened in my situation. I had to go back 3 days later for a follow up to have my TB tests read. The front desk told me there is no co pay for that because it is not with the doctor. Got it. (I also called them to confirm this on the day of the follow up visit) Well, I get the EOB from my insurance and apparently the doctor billed me for his office visit ( I expected), the phone call (wth really), and the "office visit" with the nurse that took my vitals and printed me out a letter saying I was negative for TB. Billed my insurance for almost $1000. Quite extreme to me. I am currently working with CHI to dispute the phone and the 2nd office visit.

How are you supposed to build a rapport with a physician when they are either let go or they quit. The type of care I have received this last year has declined. It seems important to share our own experiences with Pacific Medical Center in Puyallup because everyone in this office has been truly caring, kind and compassionate to my Grandmother. From the very first visit with my Grandmother's Primary Care Physician, Dr. Kim, we immediately realized this was personalized health care. Dr. Kim always spent the extra time listening to my Grandmother's concerns and determining what could be done to assist my Grandmother. When appropriate, Dr. Kim ordered additional tests and consistently followed up with the results. Besides providing excellent medical care, we appreciated Dr. Kim's personable demeanor. He always remembered to use each of our names when we visited the office and he patiently went through our usual list of questions that we brought to each of our visits. This level of patient care did not end with Dr. Kim. Dr. Kim's nurse was equally helpful and caring towards my Grandmother. She often spent extra time caring for my Grandmother during our visits, calling to answer questions for my Grandmother, following up with the doctor and scheduling appointments so my Grandmother could be seen for more urgent concerns sooner. Lastly, the front desk staff in this office remained patient when we came across challenges with my Grandmother's insurance plan. Additionally, they worked hard to patiently handle insurance billing questions, schedule follow up appointments and answer questions for my Grandmother. They were always professional and respectful which meant a lot to us. We really could not have asked for anything more from Pacific Medical Center in Puyallup. I did not even get to see a doctor. I got a nurse practitioner who was extremely rude. She quickly…read moreinformed me that it was "not her job to find out what is causing the symptoms". She let me know that she sees a lot of people and doesn't have the time to find out what my symptoms are from. She did not perform an exam or ask me hardly any questions. She couldn't have cared less and was extremely condescending. It's heartbreaking to be in so much pain and pay for that type of experience. I was in the room for under 5 minutes proscribed something that she changed several times and sent on my way to figure it out.

Dr. Troncales is a geriatrician who is caring, thorough and knowledgeable. She is my mom's PCP. My…read moremom is hard of hearing and Dr. Troncales has been extremely patient with her. She frequently makes sure that she was able to address my mom's questions and concerns. My mom is a retired physician and although quiet during appointments, she usually tells me a lot after every appt. She has been nothing but satisfied with Dr. Troncales. She appreciates that she does not feel rushed. She is grateful that she has gotten established with a physician who is so passionate about helping the older population.

Instead he suggested I seek treatment from an entirely different practitioner for a separate issue. The practitioner I was referred to is not taking new clients. I spent $225 just to be directed to someone else who is unavailable. I submitted an email requesting refund which was denied. I question Dr. Krupa's ethics.

I've been getting to contact them so I can pay my bill but no response. I've let voice mails and sent emails asking for a copy of the invoice. They have yet to reply. I would suggest considering going somewhere else. Don't expect them to listen to what you need help with, answer the phone or return voice mails. WORST customer service ever!
