To my surprise, he told me it could be corrected with a graft--something I had resigned myself to living with for life. I went forward with the procedure, and while the two weeks of recovery required some adjustments with eating and cleaning, the results were absolutely worth it. A month later, my mouth feels healthy and strong, and I could not be happier with the outcome. My dental insurance only covered a small portion, but honestly, even if I had paid the full cost out of pocket, it would have been worth every penny.
