My daughter took many classes with this school and was a founding member of the competition teams. She finished up her tenure in 2020 when she turned eighteen and went off to college. She learned all of her foundational skills at Dancers Ink, and won countless awards at dance competitions. We always had a positive experience with all of the staff and they, in turn, were incredibly respectful of our daughter. Miss Katie bent over backwards to accommodate our various needs throughout the years. Her prices were fair and we never felt taken advantage of. I was especially grateful that she kept costume requirements and costs reasonable since we usually had eight to twelve costumes to purchase yearly. I really cannot say we had any bad experiences with Dancers Ink. My daughter was heavily influenced by Miss Katie and her staff. She completed a dance minor in college and now works at a major theme park in Florida as a dancer and entertainer.

I would hate for any other child to be treated so bad and hope sharing our story will prevent that from happening. I enrolled my 3 year old granddaughter in a ballet and tap class for 3 to 4 year old. While waiting for her first class to begin she was very excited. However, when the dance teacher opened the door and let the students in the dance room she become a little nervous and wanted me to go with her. She was not alone, as there were two other little ones who felt the same. So myself, and the other parents spent the first class in the dance room giving a little support. The next week she again needed a little support and as we tried to enter the room, Keturah, the dance instructor, stood blocking us from entering. Keturah looked directly at my granddaughter and sternly said you have to come in the room by yourself, and then looked at me and said you cannot come in with her. I was in disbelief, and honestly confused, and replied she's a bit nervous, this is her first dance class I'm sure if you give her a little time she'll become comfortable and not need me. It's only the second class. Keturah said in a very cold, annoyed tone, I'm not allowing you to come in the room. I was in shock! I picked up my granddaughter, who is now crying because she can't go to dance class, and we left. Later, I spoke to Kate, the owner, received an insincere apology, and the same "the children have to go into the dance room alone". I have since found a dance studio where my granddaughter is treated with kindness and caring, and she loves going to dance.
