I felt like I was in Night at the Museum after business hours haha!! The hostess, Lee Ann and her husband were the sweetest, most considerate hosts I've ever had!! Not only were they extremely thorough, communicative, and available, but they made me feel so welcome and at home! They even had a basket full of goodies waiting for me - including some incredible varieties of homemade muffins that were some of the best I've ever had! The suite is located just off to the side inside the actual art gallery but there's plenty of privacy - you can enter through the gallery or through your own private back door so it's totally not an issue. The suite itself was immaculate and HUGE!! Especially the bathroom!! Complete with a dining table, couch and little sink/microwave/fridge area. The WiFi worked well - no issues. And the TV even had nice cable available. But there's so much to keep you busy in the area I hardly watched it. There's a perfect porch off the suite with patio seating, a grill, and incredible views of the mountains! I was there in early October and was just a tad too early for peak fall colors - but the color was starting to come in. I imagine it's positively breathtaking at peak fall color!! And they had some hummingbird feeders outside the windows which was such a joy!! The grounds are extensive - there's a huge field outback with a river at the base of the mountains - tons of birds chirping! The gallery is also centrally located in proximity to tons of ski areas and lovely towns/cities like Montpellier, Woodstock, Killington, etc. Great location!! The suite is very handicap accessible- even the bathroom and shower - very well set up for it. Parking is in their private gravel lot outside the gallery. The art work is just lovely as well and made by the hosts - so talented!! I had such an awesome experience- can't say enough good stuff about it! I will definitely be back anytime I'm in the area!

Towels, art, jewelry, pottery, stuff for kids, stuff for plant lovers, stuff for cat lovers, dog lovers, you name it, if you can't find something to buy in this shop for yourself or someone else, I'd be shocked. On top of that, the back porch has a WONDERFUL view of the town waterfall. The porch is screened in, but it won't trouble your photos any. IF you're near Middlebury, stop in for a bit and see the waterfall and the many items they offer.

We…read moreplayed the course, and my son had a blast, he totally beat me fair and square and we were very thankful for the owners of Champs. The couple that runs it is incredibly nice. The interior store is full of beautiful Vermont items that are very tasteful. After playing our round of mini golf, I headed for my second visit to the porta potty behind their store. It was VERY clean.. but unfortunately my car key went flying down. After a slight nervous breakdown, the owners returned to the store with a big magnet and got the key out in seconds. He was very nice and cleaned/sanitized it for me. I felt like a dumb a$$... but was SO thankful for them. We would return for another round the next time we visit.... I just recommend leaving your car keys outside!

Whilst everyone here has been SUPER friendly so far, I'd give it to the staff here as being *the* friendliest, chirpiest, and nicest people I've come across during this visit. It's obvious that there is excitement in the air due to the sheer number of people visiting as well as the once-in-a-lifetime event *in* this particular area BUT you've got to give to them for showing it in the sweetest way possible. They carry quite a bit of trinkets and locally made goods and make some of their own as well. I just wanted something simple to commemorate this visit and left with a bag they made for the eclipse, a sticker, and as always, a fridge magnet to add to the collection. We chose to sit on the outdoor patio which is by far the best place to sit. Get to hear the sounds of the river going by. This dining location is the best thing about the store. We ordered a turkey sandwich, a vegetarian wrap, and some chicken tenders. The food itself was actually pretty tasty, nothing special but certainly not bad. What kind of was odd was the service. So they said they would bring her food out to us and someone came out with three wrap sandwiches put them on the table and said if you want utensils or napkins they're inside. Just seen God to us that it you're going to say you're going to bring food to the table you can bring out some napkins and utensils. The food itself was very expensive. Lunch for three of us came out to you $71 and all he just got was one sandwich or wrap and one bottled non-alcoholic drink. I'd go back if I was close by with friends and looking for a nice place to sit and eat but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there

There are several floors with aisles of merchandise. You can spend hours browsing for items. It's located in a strip mall with other shops including where you can purchase Vermont Cheese and Maple Syrup. You can also sample wine and spirits nearby. On nice days they sometimes have a flea market in the parking lot with all sorts of items including antiques. There is always ample parking. A must stop if in Vermont.

The complex's Cabot Cheese Annex, the fascinating Toy Museum, and the short-lived miniature gauge railroad are gone, but a place to by artifacts of bygone generations is still very much alive.
