I took two classes at this gym and simply used the equipment on the other day. They have typical gym equipment and TVs to watch while working out. They also have child care and a large gym. I don't give the rave review for the gym itself, but certainly do for the people here and the instructors. From the front desk staff to each person I encountered I definitely felt the southern hospitality. Now to review the classes: Kickboxing with Kelly- This chick is hard core! She's intense, but also obviously committed to fitness and wants others to succeed as well as she has, in regards to her fitness. She continually gives feedback about form and keeps you going. I felt like a rockstar after I finished her class and was still feeling it days after. Boot camp with Polly- She has an infectious personality. Polly is equally intense and definitely makes you sweat. She also gives great feedback and keeps the heart rate up. Her class is definitely like a team practice for adults. I loved both of these classes and would easily join this gym if I lived in the area. Both Polly and Kelly were uber creative in their approach to fitness. I can't see getting bored in their classes. Everyone here made me feel like I had been a member for years. I can't say enough that I loved loved loved it!! Great environment, great staff, amazing hard core creative workouts. Job well done to the Gym!! Until next time...

Front desk definitely needs training. No one knows how to sign up Renew Active clients. The website…read moreclearly shows Renew Active can enroll at the gym, with a 9 digit number (vs a 16 digit for the Silver Sneakers option) yet the front desk employees insisted I HAD TO HAVE a 16 digit number, so I guess I'll be choosing a different gym til they can figure it out. The "eligibility checker" they use goes directly to Silver Sneakers (a totally different program). If you have Renew Active don't bother trying.

In Southern California it was the same and we had an Aqua Massager, Tanning, and more. I guess when you are the only shop in town you can call the price. Not no more, Crunch time! Swansboro Fitness is a bit dated on the machine side, but not important if everything works, and they do keep that in check. I ended my membership because of being called an idiot for no reason from some woke lady, and I couldn't get access as my key fob wasn't working. I failed to get anyone on the phone with the same number listed on their web site and online. They advised me I should of called all the numbers on the door. On Saturday 12/27 I wanted to watch ESPN instead of CNN fake news. The TV was in front of me but wouldn't change. After I was done with my cardio the lady next to me reading her book with her fancy book holder leaned over to her husband and said, "Did you see that?" she was referring to me trying to change the TV to CNN, and says to her husband, what an idiot? Really? I never in 25 years had anyone say that to me in a gym. Very disrespectful considering I don't talk to anyone in a gym. If you want the hassles of a woke individual name calling or being locked out of your gym, it's a good reason to end your membership if you have other choices and with Crunch, we do! Crunch in Jacksonville opens in January for $9.99/mo.! $30 cheaper than Swansboro Fitness. If you want unlimited access to all 400 locations, tanning, aqua massager, chair massager it only costs $35/mo. first month $1. That's $5 less than Swansboro Fitness for all that! We just moved here from SO-CAL 4/2024 and met a lot of nice people and really enjoy and love NC.

My husband and I took a tour and immediately signed up. Once you join, you pay month by month. It works great for us since our schedule can take us out of town. They also are very concerned with keeping the equipment clean and have tubs with wipes located all around. Brian is my trainer 3 times a week for a very reasonable fee. He is very knowledgeable and makes sure that I get a workout while checking how I am doing as we go. Candice is a Licensed Massage Body Therapist. When I drove up to the business, it seemed like I should wait in my car, as a sign stated that there was a session in progress. I went in when a smiling, satisfied-looking older woman walked out. Good sign. The interior is more hippy than spa-like, but it is clean and the treatment room is spacious. Christina asked me about any pain or injuries, and she tailored the massage accordingly.
