This company is managed by not only incompetent but rude and arrogant people that seem to have no interest in the caring aspect of the business they are trying to run. This is a highly incompetent organization only interested in billing your insurance company. I give you a few personal examples below: 1. If they tell you they will visit between 1:00 pm and 3:00, you can count on them arriving after 4:00 pm. 2. Their nurse measure the blood pressure and reported it to be "normal" at 109/47. The actual BP was 190/79 requiring medical intervention. 3. It took four attempts and three nurses to organize basic medication boxes. The errors included missing dosages, wrong pills ate wrong times, and double dosages of medications such as for blood pressure. On one occasion, the patient's BP dropped dangerously low due to double dosage of medication. 4. The worst part is that the management is not only incompetent, but arrogant, rude and indifferent toward addressing the issues. They are only interested in one thing. When pressed, the solution presented is for you to go find another provider. I question the positive reviews here. The insurance industry and the responsible Texas agencies need to thoroughly investigate this organization. My suggestion is to shut them down and use them as an example for other such businesses in the home healthcare industry.

We have been using Legacy at Home caregivers for our mom off and on for over 5 years. We have had…read morewonderful experiences with them. There have been times we've needed caregivers 24/7, and there have been periods of time when we've only needed a caregiver for a few hours here or there to support mom while venturing out to a doctor appointment. Legacy at Home is flexible and allows us to shift between mom's needs with very limited notice. After a recent fall and an ER visit, mom was sent home about 10-11pm. With a few hours advance notice, we were able to have a caregiver meet her at her facility and stay the night with her to provide the support she needed. The schedulers are fantastic and the caregivers are warm and loving. If for some reason a caregiver cancels at the last minute (car accident, illness, dangerous weather, etc), the scheduler on duty will work tirelessly to find a replacement caregiver and they will call back with regular updates on their progress - no matter if they are successful in locating a replacement caregiver or not. And most of the time they are able to find a replacement caregiver. They have amazing people who are caregivers. Many of them have made this their career choice and they want to help and support their patients. It may take a few caregivers before you find the right personality match between your loved one and the caregiver, but once you find the right matches, it's a wonderful thing! The caregivers select their preferred schedules and patients and you start to see the same people over and over again because they form very sweet caring relationships. The caregivers may even text an update here or there, if you also form a relationship with them. I highly recommend Legacy At Home. They have provided significant peace of mind for our family knowing our mom is being well cared for every day.

Over the past 6 months my mother has been left alone without a nighttime caregiver on 3 separate occasions. She is unable to get to the bathroom on her own so she spent the entire night in her chair unable to get the bathroom. The lack of a caregiver was never communicated with the family so they could care for their mother while she was uncared for. The response from The Key has always been a simple apology with no other offer or promise to even do better. Unfortunately, it seems The Key is most interested in making money and not providing quality home care for elderly people and their families who are relying on them to care for loved ones.

Completely distraught, on a Saturday morning, I called several in home health care agencies. Most of them have answering services or recordings to leave a message. I waited for a call back. No one was available to talk to me. Home Care Assistance was the third agency I called to get help for my Dad. "Christina" answers the phone, she speaks clearly, and has a talent for comforting you. I was looking for someone to rescue me!! I expected an aide to come out that Saturday morning (not knowing the industry standard process). The owner himself, Matthew P., came out to our house within 2 hours to evaluate my dad on a Saturday afternoon. Matthew was professional, kind, patient, understood our circumstance and made several suggestions to help us sort through the care we needed. Matthew did his BEST to get someone to us that night but couldn't on such short notice but he did get an aide to us Sunday morning at 8am. A Certified Nursing Assistance named Sisa showed up on time and hit the ground running!! Her level of care was off the charts beyond our expectations. Sisa made two meals, vacuumed the house, transferred my dad several times, toileted him, bathed him, interacted with him and much much more. Sisa saved ME and has been a perfect fit for my both of my parents. I've hired this aide for 12 hours a day until the end of the week until I can figure out more about Medicare. FIVE STARS for Home Care Assistance!! I am so thankful grateful and appreciative and will be using their services over and over until the end of life phases for both of my parents. THANK YOU!!! But my sister seemed to like the people so we went on. This week my credit card company notified me that possible fraud on my card. Realized it was possibly visiting angels so sent Britt an email asking if they had charged the card because i nor my sister had not received an invoice. No response, but looked and my card continued to get charged again that morning. I was out of the country but called Britt since he had not responded to my email. Indicated to him that had possible fraud but he said he had charged it. I said ok but I never received an invoice from him. He said he always gets payment first then gives us an invoice of charges..... I said that is unusual. Most all companies bill the services so the client can review that charges than is paid. He argued with me and became rude after he maybe saw I was catching him in a possible unethical business practice. Any company I know would never have a problem showing the client what service is being done for the Payment. The other visiting locations in the area seem to have positive reviews reviews but this one in Plano does not. We have decided to find a more reputable service in the area.
