It took me half an hour to get to the shop. First, the shop is located on Little Lonsdale St, but the Direction function in the app led me to Little Bourke St. Second, my Google Map turned retarded, and led me to the other end of the st, where I found nothing but dense blocks of Chinese restaurants. In the end, I walked 3 times the required distance to actually get to the shop. The end result was ok, though not really great.
The pros: beautiful and elegant internal space. There were a wide range of books, from history, art, children to fiction, etc. The staff were nice and friendly. And there was a coffee maker, which was nice =).
The cons: the fiction section was actually limited. There were contemporary titles there, but unfortunately not my type. As a person who was passionate about crime & thriller novels, it was a shame that the shop did not have a separate category for that, though this should be understandable. And finally, the prices should be reasonable, ranging from 20$ for paperback and small-sized books to 33$ for large and hard-cover books. However, to a poor & cheap prick like me :'( this appeared to be more than I could afford =(.
In general, a recommended place (y). read more
