I typically stay at Marriott properties, so when planning this trip, I immediately looked for options under that umbrella. My first choice was sold out, but Le Méridien seemed like a solid alternative -- and overall, it was.
We booked a one-bedroom suite, and I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was -- perfect for four women traveling together. Our flight was extremely delayed, but we called ahead to let them know. The staff was kind, and our room was ready upon arrival. Check-in was quick and easy, which I appreciated after a long travel day.
The only consistent issue was with housekeeping. It seemed they weren't informed there were four guests in the room, as we never had enough towels. We had to call daily for extras, and washcloths were never provided. I understand that may not be standard everywhere, but it would have been great if they noted our previous requests so we didn't have to keep calling.
The hotel has everything you might need on-site -- a Starbucks, bar, gym, pool, and business center. Super convenient. However, the property feels outdated, from the rooms to the lobby and common areas. It could really benefit from a refresh to match the quality of the service and the price point.
While the décor could use a major facelift, the friendly staff, great location, and large suite made for a comfortable stay. I'd stay here again, especially if they update the rooms and modernize the space a bit.
