I'm always really nervous to have pictures taken of me, but Trishann made me feel comfortable and spent several hours making me look my best. We had fun picking out clothes and jewlery, and she made sure my hair was perfect even though it was windy. There are many details that go into planning a wedding, but for me, photography was the most important. Prior to our wedding, Kristen photographed our engagement session and the pictures turned out amazing!! My fiance and I had no idea how to pose for photos, but Kristen quickly made us feel comfortable and we had so much fun during the shoot. I could not believe how great the pictures turned out. I spent many months trying to find a good photographer to take my baby daughter's first…read moreprofessional photographs, and we absolutely found it in Beautiful You. The owner and photographer, Ellen, really made us comfortable. She took the time to get to know my five month old daughter before taking any pictures, and worked out what I was expecting from the photo shoot. Over the next two hours we shot dozens of pictures in five or six different poses. Ellen was patient when my daughter got hungry, and was excellent at playing with my daughter to make her smile. A week later we got to see the proofs, and they were fantastic. Ellen really managed to capture my daughter's blossoming personality, and was genuinely excited to show me what pictures she had taken. I am now waiting on the prints, which were reasonably priced and of which there are plentiful options. There's no doubt I'll be going back to Ellen many times. It is more like going to see one of your friends to have pictures taken than going to a faceless studio.

Larissa was happy to work with my budget since she was just starting out in Seattle. We were able to negotiate 2 hours of photography and a few hours of editing. I had checked out her website beforehand and was impressed with her portfolio, and her event and portrait photography seemed to be aligned with what we were looking for. Larissa ended up being at the event for 4 hours, taking lots of pictures, blending in with the event attendees, and popping out of nowhere to capture Kodak-worthy moments. She thoughtfully sent me a few lightly edited photos the same night (!) so that I could post these photos on social media for event highlights. Getting to know and promise your life to someone that can finish your sentences, randomly knows what you want to eat, shares passions and challenges with you, offers you a shoulder to cry or a darling hug is a blessing. We're blessed but such joy is not easy to capture in photographs. Flipping the pages of our wedding album, we are amazed with how Kristi was able to translate our feelings and hopes into the beautiful images she took on our special day. As a professional photographer I can say working with Kristi was a truly lovely experience. She is definitely doing was she was born to do, and she (and her husband Joe) are aces at this profession. Kristi has done *8* family portrait shoots for us and each one has been incredible. Every six…read moremonths she captures us, our two kids, and sometimes our dogs or visiting grandparents, and she is so easy to work with and makes us look SO good. She is great with everyone, suggests awesome locations, and then gives us photos we will treasure for the rest of our lives. I had no idea family portraits could be so fun, relaxed and beautiful, after a childhood of being dragged into department store photo studios with a scowl on my face.
