The tall ceilings, vintage ambiance and upkeep of the building really will transform you back to another time period. The wedding reception was magical from start to finish. I've never visited here to file paperwork, so know that this review comes completely from the perspective of an event space. It was so memorable, lovely and still the best wedding I've ever been to. You can build up the space in so many ways, and if you can find the right vendors you can create a stunning atmosphere that still somehow feels intimate in all its massiveness. One fair warning if you're using it as an event space: the acoustics are a hot mess. Do a lot of pre-planning. Even at the most well-intentioned moments it was very hard to hear. You can't dispute this spot as a true Cleveland gem and a must-see on an architectural crawl of Downtown Cleveland.

I was at this space working a wedding, and let me tell you, the wedding was so well done in the space. To anyone considering a wedding spot, checkout the Old Courthouse and be prepared to book well in advance! Right by Browns Stadium, the Old Courthouse is a worthy location for any visitor who wants a classic piece within Cleveland!

I was here at the Cuyahoga County Justice Center for a meeting on the 14th floor on Tuesday…read more06/26/018. This was my first time in the building. The building is large. You will find the Cleveland Municipal Court, Cleveland Housing Court, Cuyahoga County Clerk of Courts (Civil and Criminal Divisions only), and the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court (general division). I'm not sure if other city departments or businesses have office space here but I bet so. Street parking is very limited so arrive early as I should have or take a bus/taxi here. I parked underground inside what looked like the Hilton Hotel parking lot. Since I parked underground, I was able to enter a Justice Center tunnel and enter the Justice Center through the back way which was nice because there is less traffic underground. Normally, people enter through the front entrance and go through airport type security. I was checked by a security guard in the parking garage after I parked my car and begun walking towards the Justice center tunnel. So, it was a smooth walk in as I'm sure there are lines for security through the main entrance. Once inside, I asked for directions to the 14th floor. A security man at the desk was nice enough to help me. There are 2 sets of elevators. The second set goes from floor 11 until about floor 23. I was shocked to see how LONG the lines were for the elevator going up from floor 11 onwards. I guess everyone was going to court. Luckily, I only stayed in line for 5 minutes otherwise, I may have been late to my meeting/interview. It would be nice if they had someone standing by all the elevators while controlling the traffic of people. This is my 124th Yelp review overall. 78 reviews for 2018. I am aiming for 100 reviews in 2018. Reviewed on 26 June 2018.

Coining here I was in and out in no time at all I'm not sure if it's always like that but on this given day it was definitely super fast as when compared to courts in other states I've lives in! The staff and the cops were both super friendly and helped me get to where I needed to go and got my paperwork done quickly so that was definitely awesome! They do have a rule of no cell phones inside so make sure you leave it in your car or another safe place! Also as the current strange era we are living in they are requiring you to wear a mask when you enter to help keep others safe! It once served as…read morethe county's courthouse and administrative center, though those functions have since been moved elsewhere. Construction began in in 1897 and after much scandal and even a grand jury investigation, it completed in 1902. It features 18 courtrooms and 145 rooms that hosted public hearings and many county departments. It was designed by John and Arthur Scott who managed to blend Roman Baroque Revival, Beaux-Arts, and Neoclassical styles. The top of the building features a tower (totaling 247 feet tall) and four-horse chariots that represent both Victory and Progress. Other sculptures by J. Massey Rhind represent Law, Commerce, Agriculture and Mechanics. A lot has changed in Detroit since 1902 (Progress, maybe. Victory, not so much.) and after a number of renovations and updates, the building mostly sits vacant. I would love to have toured the interior - photos show that it is magnificent with mahogany, marble and mosaics. [Review 687 of 2025 - 395 in Michigan - 24248 overall]

As a resident of Sourek Trail the city council of Cuyahoga Falls has passed the motion for builders…read more(who have purchased land on Sourek Trail) to build 89 new homes on .25 acre lots. The residents have voiced many concerns, but have been denied and ignored all requests. We and the Cuyahoga Valley National Park rangers have environmental concerns, mainly with erosion with the increase in heavy storms. Many homes and portions of the park have needed major repair from recent storms. We voiced concerns about wiping out natural animal habitat for important local species: snow owls, fox, bat's, bees, milkweed, and butterflies. The city does not care. Most importantly we have voiced our concerns about the SAFETY of our residents. With an 18 foot wide small country road with severe ditches on either side, our residents safety will be compromised with the increase of construction vehicles and an increase in traffic on our road by adding 200+ more cars to the daily traffic. The proposed tariff from the new development homes in place to redo the street will most likely not take place for upwards to 4-6 years. We walk our small children and pets daily on this road. My fear is that a fatality will occur. That fatality will be in the city's hands. Be prepared for that law suit City of Cuyahoga Falls. Us residents have one last ditch effort to try to fight for the separation of the development side of the road (Smith Road side) from the Sand Run Rd. part of Sourek Trail. The meeting is May 29th at 6:30pm in the meeting rooms of the Natatorium. The city of Cuyahoga Falls has made it clear that our safety and the city's environment aren't any of their concern. Residents will show up in large numbers for voting to ensure we elect a DIFFERENT group of council members that will be more concerned for the lives of our children and less concerned with an increase in tax money from average homes built on a postage stamp lot. That land could have served at a nature realm or city park for its residents, and should have never been voted to be an R3 zoning. I hope the money is worth it Cuyahoga Falls! Congratulations on allowing your city to become a concrete jungle.
