To make matters worse, when I called afterward to ask questions, the staff was unfriendly and surprisingly rude. Smiles Dentistry in Canton - please stay away! At first, I was impressed, but things changed quickly. They have different cleaning charges depending on what they "find during the exam," and they require you to sign a contract agreeing to the cleaning price before they start. I had some swollen gums, which they said required a deeper clean, and I was told the cleaning would take about 45 minutes. The actual cleaning lasted less than 20 minutes, and it was no different from cleanings I've received at other in-network dentists. The same findings (swallen gums) were noted by other providers, yet none of them charged extra. Between the unexpected charges and the unprofessional attitude when I called for clarification, the whole experience was incredibly disappointing.

In my worst case, I have a somewhat demanding daughter that they were able to manage with no problem and in all other cases when I visit I am always satisfied with the quality of service. He's always able to explain on a level I can understand. I'm also impressed and appreciate their billing system in that they are very in tune with what the insurance company will compensate them for versus what the client will have to pay. I find that very handy in that there are no surprises. Overall I'm very satisfied with my experience there. There are several other such practices in the area and, frankly, I don't feel the need to look around.

I was very apprehensive about losing a tooth, especially since I chose not to be put out under anesthesia. His staff was beyond anything you could expect. Very friendly and able to put you at ease. Dr. Kragor him self went through every step of the procedure, prior to actually performing it. Very good communication, using vocabulary that didn't sound like another language. This man and his staff would get 10 stars if they were available to issue. Once he gave me the numbing process, which I did not feel, we waited for it to take affect. Once the procedure began, about 8 mins later, I asked him if it was out. It was out and on the tray. I felt nothing except for some slight pressure. I am writing this review 6 hrs. after the procedure. Great job Dr. Kragor, you're # 1 in my book!!
