The worst cinema experience in Switzerland, I recommend to just avoid it. I went to a 4DX movie…read more(Deadpool x Wolverine) where all 4D effects were not synchronized with the movie. More precise, every effect happened 2 seconds before, compared to the movie. This completely destroyed the movie experience, nothing made sense as you got a flash or hit in the chair before it actually happened on the screen. The cherry on the top was the heat inside the room in the middle of the summer with no ac, and very smelly. I tried to go out to find somebody, but late in the evening there were only cleaning personnel around. After reporting this, they promised in an email to refund the money. However, after 2 days, they just decided not to refund anymore, as 'the situation is not clear'. Also, no mention of actually fixing the issues in that email. Instead, they tried to offer tickets to a 'normal' screening (so not 3d/4d) of any future movie, but by now I don't want to be near that place, so I refused. Incredible lack of responsibility and absolutely careless about their clients. To my surprise I found many similar negative reviews starting years ago, which is another clear sign they absolutely don't care to fix anything and lack respect towards the people.

I thought I had paid like CHF 20 for 3D movies in Arena Sihlcity. But perhaps it was because it was a Wednesday night instead of the weekend? My friend was able to order our tickets online the day before and print them out, so that was convenient. Corso has assigned seats, and the best seats we could get were in the 4th row from the front, but it was okay. The good thing about assigned seats is that you can waltz in right before the movie starts, instead of having to arrive early to snag some good seats. The only bad thing was that we walked in when the commercials were already playing, so it was too dark to see the seat numbers... which were painted on the floor! We fumbled around in the dark a bit before finding our correct seats. I brought my 3D glasses from watching The Hobbit last time at Arena Sihlcity, and they worked fine for this movie, so I didn't need to pay for another set of 3D glasses. So save your glasses, folks! (Or else fork over CHF 3 to buy a new pair each time.) Seats were comfy with plenty of leg room, the sound system was great, the facilities were fairly clean and modern, but my friend noted that... there were no cup holders in the arm rests!! That was weird. As usual, I got ice cream during intermission. The concessions line was a bit long but moved fairly quickly. CHF 4.50 paid for a Mega Almond ice cream bar. I had just enough time to eat my ice cream, have a quick chat with the girls, and then it was back to watching the movie.

Tickets were around US $28 each for a current 3D flick, so factor that into your decisions. That price included a charge for the glasses I believe. Also noted, it seems that there is a 10 minute intermission in some (perhaps all?) films. Avenger's stopped abruptly in the middle, the lights came up and all of the Swiss patrons seemed totally to expect it. Not a bad idea at all.

Seats are spacious and incredibly comfortable. The theater is well maintained, spotless, and super welcoming. Walking out takes you to an inviting bookstore, just take the steps up where people are relaxing on oversized pillows, and find yourself in a beautiful bookstore. Bars await, nice little restaurants, and wonderful gathering spots. It is a bit pricey, but well worth the dollars spent for such an unforgettable memory.

The place is a bit hidden and small. Also they don't have fresh popcorn and the movie rooms are a bit small. What I do like here is that it isn't very crowded and also the movie didn't have a break in the middle :) ------------- Ich habe gestern hier Life of Pi angeschaut. (Sehr empfehlenswert!!) Diese Arthouse ist im Niederdorf und zeigt mehr künstlerische und nicht wirklich Mainstream-Filme. Es ist ein wenig versteckt, klein und es gibt auch kein frisches Popcorn. This is how it is in most Swiss theaters (Kinos) though. Seats were a little better comfortable than other Kitag Corso or Metropol. However, the insulation needs some improvement as when there was a quite scene in my room and next room had loud scene or music, we could hear it so it was a bit confusing and disturbing. This happened in Room 4. Seating 2nd row was good as the screen isn't huge and made for all rows including the front row. Price is same as others, 19 CHF.

I came here to watch one of the films for the Zurich Film Festival. I like this movie theater because it's located across an international beer bar that sells chips and drinks that we took to the movie theater.

3 stars for mixed experiences at this cinema, which ranges from "meh" to "pretty good"…read more The "meh" experiences have been not only my own but my friends in the sense that the movie goes awry and then it freezes. This doesn't happen often here, but then this never happens when my friends or I am at Corso. The last time I was here, the movie froze, and since they couldn't estimate a time when it would be fixed (which realistically probably wouldn't take too long but being on the safe side they didn't give a time); a few people walked out! The location is pretty good as there are several decent restaurants around here, but since many people don't live around here, having to take this tram to HB or Stadelhofen doesn't make it directly a straightforward meeting point vs. the super convenient Corso. The plus about this place is the seats are roomier and the leg space more generous than the other cinemas. If you are okay with taking the chance that the movie won't freeze and your commute to this location is good, then this is a pretty good place.

There is PLENTY of leg space in between rows so I really got to stretch out during this 2 hour 40 mins movie. The bathroom is very clean. The people that worked in this theatre are also friendly and courteous. They informed us that we had earned enough points on our account for 3 FREE ice creams. We promptly cashed out two of them and enjoyed it during the movie. Very happy to have found this theatre, would definitely use it again.
