We have skied here more than 3 times now and I can highly recommend it as a family ski destination. There are many 4 star hotels that offer great food and facilities for half the cost of similar French resorts.
The big disadvantage with Elmau is its height, but in February/March we have never had a lack of snow.
There are many ski runs to suit all abilities. The ski school is also particularly good starting in the centre of this picturesque village. In Austria ski school runs 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon and you can either collect your children for lunch or they can have it with the instructors.
There is plenty of après ski here too, ranging from toboggan to sleigh rides. read more
