I selected Seybold because I have spine problems and 2 hip replacements that I wanted considered…read morewhen I had a hip replacement revision after the original hip replacement came apart. (a devastating experience I hope you never know) . I needed the new parts to fit well with the rest of me. MRI images, numerous consultations, PT and 2 years later I am very unhappy with the results. After 6 weeks of voicing my alarm at the limb difference after the surgery and being told, by the LPN and the NP to wait it out because it would straighten out if I let it, he finally admitted on a phone call that while in the OR there was a 5 gauge and a 10 gauge prosthesis. The 5 was too small so he knowingly put in the 10 gauge knowing it was too large and knowingly left me with one leg longer than the other. Why would there not be a hip part that fit? I was not a "walk in". When I paid for transportation to see the DOCTOR 2 weeks after the surgery, I could only see the LPN and NP who told me the xrays showed my opposite hip position was the problem and it needed to "drop". Obviously, they either didn't know better or they were lying. Neither is acceptable. I found the advice given to me by the LPN was often not based on a consultation with Seybold. I don't know if he even knew I was trying to see him. I have arthritis in my feet ( known before the too large part was put in) and a lift in my shoe is impossible. My SI joint, hip and foot on the shorter leg which also has a hip replacement, are taking a beating from the uneven leg length. Both knees are compromised. My gait is unbalanced. The muscles, nerves and connective tissue on the longer leg are being stretched beyond capacity and hurt. I have never spent so much time on my couch because of pain when standing or walking. I got exactly what I said I did not want and I experience the consequences daily. Before the surgery I walked 2 to 4 miles daily. Not any more. I make myself walk so I can maintain my independence but it is not enjoyable as it used to be. I was told by the ortho doctor at Guthrie (which has absorbed Lourdes) that they won't see me any more or prescribe PT because I am "unhappy with the results and ask too many question". This was in writing in my Patient Portal. When I tried repeatedly to make an appointment to see Seybold, as recommended by Guthrie, I never got a call back and my patient portal at Lourdes is disabled. I have an EvenUp strapped to my shoe on the short leg. A local rehab doctor is working with me to find the correct width lift to be added to my shoes, at my expense, by a cobbler. It surprisingly expensive. The incision healed without incident but the range of motion is limited despite my daily efforts to improve it in the gym and at PT. I was also told I was given 2 medications after the surgery that I had indicated verbally and in writing that I am allergic to and had a hard time with the drug reactions for the first 48 hours. I could not be given an antihistamine because it had not be prescribed by the doctor. The nurses said they were trying to reach him but couldn't. Beware.

Well surprise I was referred to the "wrist" specialist in the office thank God if only they had…read moredone this when I first started having problems Thing is I'm not really unhappy to much with the doctor its the assistant more who is doing things behind the doctors back n then lying about it n other patients are having the same problem n other employees know she does this n resent the fact that she is getting away with it I don't understand why dr Seybold is allowing all this to go on it's destroying his reputation unless he feels that he's gotten so big that it doesn't matter n that's sad cause he use to be the best

Had an appointment to see my regular doctor 11/1. Sent to x-ray for series of really hard posing…read morex-rays. Then was sent to exam room and some nurse (or whatever she was) named Mindi came in and when I asked about results of x-rays, she refused to tell me. Kept harping on my pain level and repeatedly avoided telling me of the results. Then tried to manipulate my injured knee and only made the pain worse. No professional manners, refused to tell me of x-ray results, total lack of concern that I was still recovering from a heart attack. Didn't and don't understand why my regular doctor would send a nurse (or whatever) in to do his job. Next appointment in ONE year. Worse experience I've ever had in the 16 years I've been going to this office. Joe S.

Tier orthopedics was not good. I can speak only for my own experience at their former(?) johnson…read morecity location, as my father received treatment he was satisfied with in the past (for a small fortune of course, and at their former Vestal location....why are they always moving & changing ?? Hmmm) When I went however I received not even the slightly most enlightening advice in regards to my debilitating condition (in fact I received zero education on it at all) and instead was simply informed of what I had already self-diagnosed weeks prior. Not so much as even the mention of alternative treatments and how to take steps towards recovery, or even inquiries about my bodily needs and goals (I use my body professionally). Shouldn't your goal as a doctor be to get me back to the good health that I need to be in? They were literally useless. I met with the PA(some African American looking kid, don't care to know his name - useless) following my MRI - which I paid out of pocket, no insurance. And so of course I saw the PA (fresh out of PA school) instead of the Dr. and they weren't even interested in advising or treating me because they knew I hadn't health insurance so I wouldn't be continually returning for follow up appointments to line their pockets. Awful. In the two years since then I have obtained many more affordable MRIs and received many more useful consultations from multiple physicians from other states. And in hindsight my experience at Tier Orthopedics was absolutely unacceptable. Thanks for the Tylenol, Doctors!! I see that Lourdes has since absorbed this practice (good riddance) but even still I wouldn't trust them with my body or money for a second, especially if they hold the same doctors/staff. Admin staff was also very rude and miserable.
