We only needed our nanny for 3 months but wanted to do the right thing and make sure we paid her properly and had a contract in place (I used their template). Hiring our nanny and setting everything up was so simple. The cost is nominal and the peace of mind that I am doing everything above board is worth using their services. When I needed help and sent an email to customer service, Aimee S. was quick to respond and answer all my questions. They assist with all tax filings and send reminders when those are due. The ability to cancel/pause my account until I have a new household employee is a great feature. I'm happy I found them and would recommend them to anyone who needs help like I did.

When contacted in Aug 2026 about the error was informed by Mary Flores and employee of Poppins pay it would be taken care of and those fees and penalties would be removed. They had a 30 day window to handle the issue with the State of Missouri and failed to do so. My parents received a letter Certificate of Assessment filed for $592.46. When I contacted them again today and spoke with Mary Flores again I did not feel I was going to get the help needed. My parents will now have to pay more penalties and fees and I am looking at taking legal action. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY if you are unsure how to make sure everything gets properly closed out.

I had a good experience with Flatirons Advisors in 2024, but I'm updating my review because my 2025…read moreexperience was very negative and I can no longer recommend them. I have complicated crypto taxes and did my best to communicate this from the start, including a 45-minute call with Steve specifically about my crypto taxes before my 2024 return was filed. I made clear that the documents I sent, including a Schedule 1, were generated by my crypto tax software. In 2025, I discovered that the Schedule 1 income I provided had been left off my 2024 return. Steve never asked me what it was, never requested supporting documentation, and never told me he was omitting it. He simply left it off silently. When I raised it, he claimed he hadn't known I had complicated crypto taxes, which I believe is false and I have messages with the firm showing we discussed it. He also declined to prepare my 2025 return due to the crypto complexity, leaving me to find a new preparer on short notice. When I requested a refund of my 2024 prep fee, he refused unless I provided evidence of the income's source. While compiling that, I found that a mistake in my tax software had overstated the figure, and that the corrected amount was lower. I decided the refund wasn't worth pursuing, and I'm having the amendment handled by another firm. Steve was right to question the number. But the professional response was to ask for documentation before filing, not to silently drop income off a return without a word to the client. At no point did he acknowledge any mistake or take any accountability. In my opinion, that handling was not what a client should expect from a tax preparer, and based on my experience, I can't recommend them.
