I moved into my new home a year ago and have been very pleased with the quality of workmanship. Every Elliott Homes employee I had dealings with was friendly and knowledgeable - from contract sign to the end of the year. Before I moved in, Josh went through the whole house with me and showed me how to work all the appliances and left me with a large binder with additional information and warranties on the appliances. In the past year, I've had three visits with Michael who came to see if I had encountered any problems. There were only a couple of things that needed to be addressed and they were taken care of promptly. I've already talked to my friends about what a good homebuilder Elliott Homes is and I would recommend them to anyone. I still experience great pleasure when I walk through my house and see the quality workmanship and the tasteful lighting and cabinetry. It is good to know that you can still get good value for your money. read more

I'd give zero stars if i could. Definite buyers remorse. Shame on us for getting distracted by the "pretty". Poor quality, no insulation, horrible customer service, and the plumbing sounds as if it's going to explode every time you flush a toilet?! There are cracks in the poured concrete on the front porch, back patio and garage; some of them quite large. The lock on the front steel door has broken for the second time now--this time locking us outside late at night?! The kitchen appliances are super cheap --handle broke off the oven door and fridge drawer handles broke-- and there was no real thought given to the design. Specifically, there is no linen closet in a four-bed home and the kitchen pantry is a small closet with 4 shelves--not even a walk-in?! We keep losing shingles off the roof and the caulk is pretty-much now non-existent around all the toilets and sinks. I've lived in 60+ year old homes that were better built. I would NEVER buy another Elliott Home and I certainly won't be recommending them to ANYONE. Buyers beware!! read more

What a disappointment! I seriously doubt, as the website claims, any member of the Elliott family live in these houses with this many issues. The only reason they get a 1 is because it's pretty in the outside. We moved into a new Elliott Homes house in May 2024 and it's been nothing but repairs and regrets on a 1/2 a-million dollar purchase. A/C inside unit has been repaired twice, plumbing in two bathrooms have been repaired three times, water pipes were installed too close so the cold water never gets below 80 Degrees, ductwork was not sealed correctly so the humidity stayed at 75%, low end appliances that weren't installed properly, no access to half of our attic, garage door was installed crooked so it didn't close properly, sod that is so uneven there are holes in the yard making it almost impossible to walk through and that holds water for days when it rains. We were told by two of the service techs that our house was in the last "batch" of houses built in our neighborhood and these houses were built with cheaper material such as a/c, ductwork, pipes, appliances, fixtures, flooring, sod, just to name a few. Of course it was no surprise from the issues we've had but after talking to neighbors they confirmed they've had a lot of the same issues and have ongoing repairs needed. Up until closing we had a great experience. We were given a list of contacts and they followed up via email and phone at least weekly...but once the keys switched hands...we have one contact number of a local person. She is very responsive and schedules the service calls but she wasn't involved in the process until we moved in, so she cannot answer questions about decisions made or material used during the building process. If you have any questions or concerns you are directed to the webinar but there is no corporate number to call and if you click on "contact us" you are directed to an agent to help you with a new home selection. Don't walk....RUN...far far away. read more

I bought a house in 2019 and the service was horrible at the beginning and dealing with them today is equally terrible.

I gave Elliott Homes a 5 star because floor plan is beautiful. Since being in this house I have had problems with my toilet and shingles coming off the roof. I have a big problem with flooding in my back yard I emailed them about the shingles and got no response. I purchased my house in 2023. Also the door knobs are falling off read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE HOMES!!!! Shoddy work, multiple flaws and problems on brand new homes!?!?!?!?!? Yes Elliott is NOT trust worthy and builds subpar quality homes!! NEVER NEVER EVER EVER EVER BUY ANY HOME Elliott HAS BUILT, trust me, you WILL regret it when problems start plaguing YOU the 1st week in your home! Elliott is the sorriest, most deceitful builder I've EVER EVER DEALT WITH!! BOYCOTT ELLIOTT OR YOU'LL BE SORTY! He doesn't stand behind his shoddy quality workmanship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS LIKE MR HANEY ON GREEN ACRES ALL ALL OVER AGAIN!! Only difference, is this is MS coast instead of Hooterville!!!!!!!!! !! read more

Elliot Homes is one of the very best real estate options you can have. I have had no problems and it's been a great experience. They make you feel at home. Connie Lea and Elaine McCrimmon have been very attentive and wonderful to work with. I have been away and needed help on guiding me through. They went above and beyond to make sure I got what I needed and always made sure I was happy. I have been informed the whole time and it continues to be great service and care. read more

We just closed on our new home in Diamondhead, and I couldn't be happier with our home and the entire process with Elliott Homes! From our first phone call from Elaine McCrimmon (less than 5 mins after we expressed interest online), to our delightful tour of homes with Ashlynn Parks, to the wonderful communication and updates from Ashlynn and Amanda Bray, we were kept informed throughout the building process. Brandon Ellis, our builder, also kept in communication with us and made it clear our happiness with our new home was his priority. The construction is absolutely beautiful and everything is high-quality. Plus we have a year warranty, if there are any kinks to be worked out--which I do not foresee. Thank you, Elliot Homes!! read more

ELLIOTT HOMES! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I just bought a new home at Landon GREEN area. To be honest, my experience of purchasing was really a pleasant and smooth one. Chadana Stokes works for that complex. She is so pleasant to work with. She is very helpful and knowledgeable. She was always ready to answer my questions. She introduced a loan representative to me. It worked so well. I like my home so much. It's in a new style. The design got awarded. THANK YOU SO MUCH, ELLIOTT HOMES! THANK YOU SO MUCH, CHADANA! Again, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

Dawn Agar is the best! She is responsive, knowledgeable, and just down to earth friendly and caring! Highly recommend working with her on your Elliott purchase! read more

The 1st part of the process was great - customer service, etc. Obviously it was because we were new customers and they were selling their product. We closed end of July 2022. Within the first few weeks of living here, noticed that master bedroom was clearly warmer than the other side of the home. Called customer care and was told an adjustment could definitely be made. No adjustments were made and I was instructed to close off vents completely or slightly in the rooms with too much air and this would force the air to the master - this did NOT work. 6 month walk thorugh - addressed the air situation and was told if the AC company would come out to adjust in the attice then the adjustment would need to be made at the start of every season. 1 year walk through - he had a checklist of things we looked at, I pointed out items such as where the crown moulding was obviously joined together and it was very noticeable, crack in the grout between the tub and tile in the 2nd bathroom. Michael noticed cracks in the grout in the walk through shower in the master. Revisted the air situation again with no luck. We ended up changing out the cheap ceiling fan in the master to one with a higher CFM. Randomly started finding beetles in the home shortly after move in - we have always had a pest and termite contract with quarterly pest treatments. I blew it off thinking this beetle must be flying in when we open the back patio door. I finally found enough of them that I brought it up to our pest technician who confirmed we had carpet beetles - we have zero carpet in this home - we designed it that way! The more I watched the beetles, the more I started thinking the problem was in the attic - I have brought this up several times to the pest tech. Ultimately, we've had multiple treatments for carpet beetles and still continue to find them coming from the outlet covers, under baseboards and from behind the moulding. Then to top it all off, 18 months into the home, the outside AC unit stops working. We had a service contract with a local AC company. They made many attempts over 2 months to correct the issue until I finally had to contact another company. Luckily the unit was still under warranty but we were paying for labor. I called Elliott's main office line - it's remarkable how when you are going through the purchase process their staff is attentive and you could always speak with someone. Once we closed, that changed dramatically. It doesn't matter which option I select when I call their office, I could hardle get anyone to answer. I ended up calling at the recommendation of the AC company b/c I wanted a copy of our warranty for the AC. I selected the customer care option and Dan actually answered. i told him what I needed and he instrcted me to text him my name, address, and neighborhood and he would send when he got to the office. I texted this man 3x and no reply. I still had the business card of the original customer care rep so I called his number directly but Dan picked up. I told him who I was and that we spoke the day before. he started off with you never texted me. I explained to him that I texted 3 times the day before with no reply and that I confirmed the number b/c I thought it odd that he told me to text the main office line. Dan tells me"m'am text me to the number that your fingers just dialed!" This tone and respone coming from a custoemr care rep!!. I was shocked that he spoke to me that way. Fast forward to 1 week after that and I learn after dealing with our pest control company for almost a year that carpet beetles are living under the insulation in our attic. I called Dan back to see if there was anything Elliott homes would be willing to do when we have this very costly treatment done if we end up finding a food source that was left in the attic by one of their contractors. Dan just kept repeating that they don;t warrant pests and how does he know we haven't been doing anything in the attic. Umm...does he think we or anyone would get in the attic and play under the insulation? I wish we could get away from this home but until we deal with the issues, we are stuck! I miss my previous older home that was built before we moved in so we had no input in how it looked but I would trade interior design for the crap I'm dealing with now! Do NOT select Elliott. I always thought and was told that of the 3 builders on the coast who are ALWAYS putting up neighborhoods that Elliott was the top. They are not. I think they fall right in line with what I am hearing about the others! read more

About 2 years ago my wife and I decided to move back home to the MS coast after being in the Houston area for the last 20 years. We made many trips back and forth looking at homes trying to decide what we wanted to do. After meeting Mitzi at one of the model homes and having her show us around, we just kept coming back to Elliott because it was obvious they were ahead of the game when it came to quality, and value. Once we decided to go with Elliott Homes, Mitzi kept in touch with us giving us updates on the progress of our home. Mitzi was very knowledgeable and friendly. This is the 8th home my wife and I have built, and it has been the best experience yet. The house was built in record time, and the quality is great. There's no such thing as a perfect build, but the few issues we've had were dealt with quickly and professionally and the Elliott Team made sure we were happy with the results. The construction manager (Josh, or JD) was on top of things from start to finish, and that was the cleanest construction site I have ever seen. I've been in contact with the warranty department as well and that experience was also handled professionally. I'd say from the beginning to the present it has been a very good experience with Elliott Homes, it has made this move a more stress-free process. I've told everyone about how much we love our new Elliott Home, and we'll continue to spread the word. Thanks Elliott Homes Team! read more

Problems too numerous to list.. Main complaint cigarette smoke smell in garage, laundry room, master bedroom and master bedroom closet. We don't smoke. Lots of promises, lots of disappointments. I would not use elliott homes again or recommend using them. Hope this is helpful to someone comparing builders. read more

They build beautiful homes, based on the models I toured. Will consult with them for sure when we decide to move.

We had a great experience with Elliott Homes in the Diamondhead Lakes community. They are committed to high quality homes at a reasonable value. From the first point of contact to the closing we experienced extraordinary customer service and the highest level of professionalism. We were always well informed and continuously updated on the progress of production. Elliott Homes was easy to deal with from start to finish. The few bumps/questions/concerns that inevitably come up in a new home build were handled easily and with the customer in mind. There were a wide range of choices for the build from house plans to exterior and interior finishes to choose from. Issues identified during the various walkthroughs were handled expeditiously. Elliott Homes has a project plan that is easy to follow and monitor the build. read more

No doubt Elliott Homes has the most beautiful house designs among the builders we've seen here on the coast. We decided to purchase our home from them for this reason alone. If you are in a hurry to move in to a new home (Within 4-6 months), then the custom built house may not be for you! Bear with me, this is a long story but it could save your family a headache! I'm speaking based on personal experience with Elliot Homes. Here's our timeline: August 2019- We signed the contract and paid the earnest money. They gave us a tentative move in date between February-May 2020. Also, they told us to wait 2-3 weeks for the design appointment. Two months passed and we didn't hear from them. We called and emailed them to follow up; they told us that there was a delay. If we didn't follow up they wouldn't have reached out to us. COMMUNICATION IS KEY! As a seller, it's their job to keep us updated and not the other way around. February 2020- We finally had our official design meeting to discuss the cosmetic details like paint colors, cabinets and tiles. They told us it would take 4 months to build the house so our tentative move in date is June-August 2020. Our lease expired during the month of February and we decided to go month-to-month. We are currently paying additional $100 on top of our monthly rent. April 2020- The bank called us because Elliott Homes needed an updated credit report for the house because the first one has expired. Note that it is a "hard pull" on our credit report every time they ask for it. Fast forward, 8 months later we are still waiting for our house. My point in writing this is to pass along our experience to "future potential buyers". Never plan your life according to Elliot Homes timeline. They have some serious communication problems that needs to be addressed. Take the timeline Elliot provides and add at least 12 months to be safe. read more

A few months ago, my wife and I moved into our custom built Elliot Home and have been very pleased with the results. They made the whole process from start to finish very easy and it was also easy to get them on the phone for questions and such. The design process is carefully laid out in a way that lets you go step by step and they are openly communicating everything along the way. After we moved in we had a couple of minor issues that they resolved immediately, so they are really about customer satisfaction even after the sale. Take a look at some of their demo model homes and compare to some of the cheaper alternatives around here, and it'll be obvious why Elliot is the standout. I'd definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone looking to build in either one of their neighborhoods or on your own lot, like we did. read more

I have been following Elliott Homes for several years now....from the first time I saw one. I have driven through all the neighborhoods watching as they come to life. I knew this was the builder for us! When we were ready to build, the Elliott team made it easy. The Charles has everything I could ask for but then you can pick so many options to make it your own. It was customization magic! Larry was so helpful and kept us well informed. Jennifer made the design selections so easy and brought my vision closer to reality. The building is about to begin and we can't wait to watch it transpire into our home. We are beyond excited!!! read more

Cons definitely outweigh the pros. Awful experience. I have to go out of my way getting in touch with the company. No call backs or text messages from them after they say they will respond back to me. Procrastination and being UnProfessional are a few words to describe this company. I'd be here all day typing the negatives because the list is never ending. They had great people on their staff, but the company was so terrible they left. Only the terrible inconsistent rude people are left doing mediocre jobs. Understaffed now so employees know they won't get fired after showing poor performance. Company doesn't own their mistakes. Why would I ever recommend a friend to spend a lot of Money on mediocrity. I run a business. If my staff performed like this company's staff and treated customers terribly, they'd be gone without hesitation. Why would anyone want people representing your company in a negative way?Again, I could keep going. Definitely, will Never recommend this company to any of my friends. read more

Elliott Homes and everyone who works for them are wonderful to work with. We live in another state and it was a little scary to build a new home so far away. Brittany and everyone we worked with really took all our stress away and always kept us updated on progress and even sent us pictures along the way. Now that the home is finished, we could not be more pleased. We have worked with other builders in the past, but I can easily say that Elliott homes was the most pleasant and professional builder we have ever come across. read more

The entire process from stumbling upon their website to making our new home purchase was absolutely amazing! All of the wonderful staff at Elliott Homes has been so patient and understanding; they all have taken into consideration what WE want and desire. Unlike other experiences we have had looking into buying a house, Elliott Homes were not pushy or rushing us into any decisions. The entire experience has been so delightful! I would have to say that the quality of work is much better than others in this industry. We are getting a custom house that is made with superior products and for a wonderful price. No cookie cutter houses here! read more

We purchased an Elliott Home almost 3 years ago. The build process was a challenge to put it mildly. There were many upgrades we purchased that were overlooked by the subcontractors. For example, we chose to eliminate the tub in the master to allow for a larger closet. The plan was ignored and our shower was initially in the closet. It was corrected but many many more of these "upgrades" were more of a stress than they were worth. We also upgraded our front door to the iron door. HUGE mistake. As of yesterday, our door knob is broken for the 5th time. So on average, our front door is inoperable about every 6 months. At Christmas last year it took a month to get it fixed. It was quite an embarrassment when our guests tried to leave and our door knob completely came out. Yesterday, obviously at my wits end, I contact Elliott Homes. After 2 texts, 2 personal cell calls, 1 office call and 1 email my efforts were finally rewarded with a return call. During that call Bo McMurphy informed me that our warranty was only for 1 year and they would fix the door knob for the 5th time out of kindness. Clearly Mr. McMurphy is confused. When there is an ongoing warranty issue the resolution continues to be the responsibility of the home builder. It is not the buyers fault the problem was not resolved the first time. He was nothing short of difficult and rude. I would admit I was not the most pleasant either considering my position and his tone. That being said, I would never conduct business this way. Completely unprofessional. Additionally, you will be paying prices very comparable to a custom home so the only reason to go with Elliott Homes is to save build time. However, the inconveniences afterward void any time saved. read more
