I sat for 40 minutes past my scheduled appointment time before anyone even acknowledged me to check in me for my appointment. Then acted as though nothing happened. I am not a person who normally complains but it made me have to cancel other appointments for that day. read more

The virtual optometrist was impressive as was the technology to facilitate that being an option. For him to be out of state and still be able to view all of my information, make an assessment, and provide recommendations was fantastic. Also, his assistant's (Krista) skills at completing the exam was impressive. I did feel her attitude could have been improved-she was short with answering questions and passive in giving instructions. All in all, though, I would recommend ellington eye care and will probably go back myself! read more

So in October my husband had to have a triple bypass. He had appointment to get his eyes done and…read moreget new glasses. Well due to the fact he had to have surgery I had to cancel his appt. So anyone knows he spent time in the hospital. Then on top of that you have appts to see your doctor to make sure everything is going good. That means you travel to Morgantown about twice a month to four times a month. So I would like to ask Walmart Vision Center in Oakland md were their HEART is. We spend over 500 if not more on his glasses. Must not need the money. Shows us they don't care. Maybe they need to get new management.

Went to Oakland as opposed to lavale last June - they ran me up there 5 times before my glasses were at least semi close enough to my prescription for me to see out of. The 2nd time I'd went to pick them up after my initial appointment they were so bad in my one eye I had to leave them and come to find out the tech had put the wrong numbers in for that eye for the prescription. Went up 3rd time on a Friday to pick them up and told them they still were not correct nor did they fit on my nose properly. The girl that I was dealing with shrugged her shoulders and told me to take them anyway to see if they worked themselves out and if they didn't call up and schedule a re-check. Called up Monday morning- saw the tech again- she essentially put my prescription back to my original one that I had when I came up - so zero change and around $200 later, my prescription still isn't correct and the glasses leave a terrible indentation on the right side of my nose. I had asked initially about just having new lenses put in my original frames bc I had clip on sunglasses for those frames but was told I could not do that so I ended up purchasing the exact same frames I already had. Just save yourself numerous trips, aggravation and money and go to lavale or any other doctor anywhere.

I scrambled to pick them up, and drop them off with family. At 1:18 the girl at the counter said the Dr left bc my appointment was at 115, and they assumed I wasn't coming. If there's a chance life circumstances could cause you to be 3 minutes late, then I do NOT recommend this office. I'm taking my good insurance and my business elsewhere. Very disappointed.

My previous experience was with an on-site optometrist, so going into an exam at Walmart my expectations were somewhat low, but I was very pleasantly surprised and quite satisfied with the experience. read more

Amazing experience! I was unsure of how a virtual eye appointment would work but it was great. I took my child in for a check up. The tech was nice and patient, the doctor came on the screen and was very nice and explained everything with my child's eyes.
