Dora has all of this experience as a masseuse. It had been many YEARS since I've last had a massage, but pain on the left side of my body brought me to Waukee Massage Spa. I booked a same day appointment online which was easy to do. However, next time I'll book via phone since Dora gets so busy she may not have time to check appointments online. My appointment started at 3pm but I arrived 20 mins early. Dora was able to take me early so I started my appointment at 245pm which I appreciated. I was taken to a private room with a very comfortable massage table. The temperature in the room was great too. Dora provided a fantastic massage with great pressure and got rid of all the tension in my body (and I had a lot). She worked so hard the entire hour of my appointment and maintained the pressure the entire time. She is a miracle worker!!! I also could not believe how much tension I had as she was going through each part of my body. I am going to schedule another appointment soon and will no longer wait years before having another massage. This appointment made me realize that I've neglected myself and a massage is ESSENTIAL to health and wellness. And I would only trust Dora to keep me heathy. I'm so glad I found this place! They take cash and credit card here but expect paying a little extra if paying with credit card.

Communication with the staff is difficult, but the service works well for pain relief, especially if you are a big guy who always needs a therapist to press harder. This place is also affordable, at a little more than $1 per minute. I did the 40-minute table massage and felt better (albeit a little sore) walking out than I did going in. But if you're looking for the type of relaxing, calming, carefully-designed and gently-executed massage you might get at a luxury resort or higher price point, look somewhere else!

HORRIBLE!! I had…read morewhat can only be described as the absolute WORST massage of my life at this place today. My masseuse (if you can call her that) was named "Cindy." I paid for an hour deep-tissue massage, and got what was not even a soft massage. Cindy seemed aloof, disengaged and wholly uninterested. She kept looking around as if I was a distraction to her day. I told her up front I needed my feet done and they never got touched. Instead, I got a lame scalp message that only served to mess up my hair. I will NEVER back be to this place and can only say buyer beware. ANYWHERE else is better.

I've been coming here for about seven months, and the service and care are always outstanding. The place isn't super luxurious, but it's beautiful, smells amazing, and has a calm, clean, and relaxing atmosphere that makes you feel at peace as soon as you walk in. I've had massages from every therapist here, and I honestly can't say a single negative thing. They are all incredibly skilled at what they do. The music and volume are just perfect, allowing you to fully relax and enjoy your massage. I highly recommend this place!

All of the elements of the room pointed to relaxation. I was allowed 5 minutes to prepare myself, then a knock at the door announced my massage therapist, Sophia. She entered the room and made sure I was comfortabl, then got right to work. I did not tell anyone what prompted my visit ( a sore right shoulder and neck) and Sophia just began a gentle warm up massage. As she moved around on my back, she honed in on my trouble spots without me even telling here. She worked out a knot that was pretty substantial and wouldn't quit til it was resolved. I'm a big guy, she is a small Asian woman. Don't let that fool you. She had amazing hand strength when needed, but also the gentle soothing touch too. Look, I've been to many spas and had many massages. This one was the most satisfying. She made sure I was flexible again before I was done. The hot towels, soft lights, mood music, and cleanliness were all appreciated. But the professionalism and overall effort rose above all others. Want to feel great again? Book Sophia! She really cares about her clients' well being. I live 2 hours away, but I might be making the drive here the next time I want to be massaged. She's that good. You won't be disappointed.
