It's been a few years since I had any thing done here and I no longer live in Akron but my ex and I had two butterfly wingback chairs repaired here, a sofa bottom repaired and a second sofa reupholstered here with material we had from Pakistan and the work was top notch. The two chairs were showpieces after they finished with them and the couch looked fantastic. We had one spot where there was an issue with stitching on one cushion and they repaired it no questions asked. Yes the shop was a little messy but they did good work. They even located a cell phone that I had lost several months prior (I didn't know it was in the couch) and called me immediately. They could have very easily kept it as I honestly had no idea it was in the sofa. I have no issues whatsoever recommending them. And in fact now that I live an hour away I'm actually looking into calling them for an estimate to reupholster some chairs I have for an 8 chair dining set. read more

My husband had his father's chair. Hideous, with blue velvet fabric, but because it was his dad's, he was attached to it. Ellet Upholstery did an amazing job with updated fabric and new padding. They also redid two stools for my sister with limited fabric, and they look GORGEOUS! We highly recommend! They may not have a gorgeous work area, but that's because they work hard at making our furniture gorgeous. I'll take that any day! read more

The place is a disaster, health department needs to do an inspection! I had my outdoor sectional cushion recovered. My cushions were 1 year old and we barely used them. I took my own fabric that I wanted to recover the cushions and pillows with. Still I paid over $800. The work was so so and the owner was rude. I picked up my cushions and when I sat them in the sectional I notice the were not the same size as my previous cushions. The cushions were smaller.... I took pictures and emailed Kirk the pictures and explained that the cushions were not the same size as original factory cushions. I explained that I had a brand new set unopened and compared the new set to the newly recovered and the new cushions are smaller than the factory. I took cushions back with factory cushions and showed them the difference between the two and they said they did everything correct and that the cushions are fine. I even took the foam out of the new cushions to put back in the old cover because they said they used the same foam......well the foam was clearly altered and smaller and did not fit the old cover. This guy is a fraud and blames customers and has no interest in doing good quality work I would never recommend this place!! read more

Extremely disappointed. The amount of material ordered by store ended up not being enough to sufficiently do the job. Pillows suffered as a result as well as the sewing. Too tight a fit and it came apart at the edges. The stuffing was inferior as well. Quality doesn't seem to be part of their vocabulary. read more

They reupholstered two chairs - one antique rocking chair from my grandparents; one was a recliner. The rocking chair had many admirers while sitting in the shop awaiting our pick-up - very neat, brass nails in back. They were willing to re-tie the springs which it needed badly. Great work The recliner is beyond my expectations - new cushions inside (bottom and back); matched the flower pattern; made recommendation to separate the back cushion (great idea) - I LOVE it -- great craftsmanship! simply beautiful. we travelled from Cleveland to have this work done. read more

Ellet Upholstery did a superior job on my six dining room chairs. I provided the fabric and they were resourceful in cutting so that yardage was returned to me. An excellent job on the cording as well as matching the stripe. They even repaired a chair arm at no charge that I had not noted. Extremely reasonable and I highly recommend. read more
