It's a big shop filled with various under garments and what caught my eye was the A frame signage on the footpath. Turns out they specialise in breast prosthesis (any reversals?), surgical bras, surgical corsets, back support, binders and corsets, etc but there's so much more to this shop. The lady I was speaking to was lovely and we chatted about other subjects apart from lingerie which is nice to get a relaxed staff / customer rapport. She is very passionate about her domain and can advise on anything you specifically need for your body shape and needs. The shop manages to soften its' interior with two beautiful large black chandelier inspired decorative lights. The shop is well lit and well organised, there is also a small dress up section if you know what I mean, wink, wink, nudge, nudge. But sometimes the line does become blurred when it comes to lingerie doesn't it. Where else is there to go? So, if ever you're in need of have a specialised fitment of the prosthetic or support aid, this is definitely the place to go to for help.

I'd been wearing terrible bras for years being too lazy/a bit embarrassed to get properly fitted. The proprietor (I assume) Enza had me measured and trying on a perfectly-fitted bra within about two minutes. Then she kept me supplied with about a dozen different brands and styles to try on to make sure I had the best one possible. The shop seems to have a big range despite the small shopfront, and brilliant friendly service. Highly recommended!

HB have actually made the experience of bra shopping not terrifying. Service is exceptional, not only at the Rundle Mall, but also at the West Lakes store. The girls are so friendly, they make you feel comfortable, and they can correctly fit you. The bras and knickers at HB are so beautiful and sexy. They can be quite expensive, but I think it is worth it (you can wait for their mega post Christmas sales with some bras up to 70% off, or ladies, put in that birthday request to your boy or girl for some smokin' hot lingerie). They are made well and last. New styles come out quite frequently so the stock is always changing. When you are in the store, you really get the vibe from the staff and the company that a woman's body is beautiful and sex isn't something to be ashamed of. There are no seedy sex shop vibes at all. Unfortunately, this body beautiful vibe only stops at size 14F. It would be great if HB stocked larger sizes so everyone can get some of the sexy bra lov'in. The David Jones Intimate Apparel sales team must not know very much about your designs, colours, types, etc. either, because they were so lacking knowledge about your brand and were no help to me. While I can appreciate the honesty of the suggestive sales assistant who said "Oh, you must find out her bra size first, otherwise I can't help you..." I would like to ask this: if that's the case...her breasts are this big (I showed her my two hands go up)...you know, you should really make more of an effort to excite me....and it only takes a few seconds and a few well-chosen words for a man like me to be turned on by lingerie....." Still, it was very comfortable, and the cheapest slimming underwear I've ever seen! There sell lots of great brands - I especially like the Elle Macpherson. However, though there are some cute things in here, nothing really grabbed me. There are lots of lacy but not very supportive styles, though plenty of heavy duty plainer styles. Definitely worth a look though, given the prices!

After shopping there for the first time, you know there's no need to go to other bra stores. Everything you need is in one store, and affordable prices. Last time I went in nothing was over $20! All girls know how expensive lingerie is, especially when you need more than one bra. That is what makes the Bendon Outlet get two thumbs up from me. They offer brands such as Bendon, Hickory, Elle Macpherson and Hey Sister. Cheap bras that actually look pretty, a wide variety to choose from and great customer service. You're good to go.

Run Riot has been open for a little while now - they stock a range of alternative brands, such as Tripp NYC, Iron Fist, Dusk Moth, Switchblade Stiletto, Lucky 13 and the like (if you're into this stuff, you'll get my drift). They also stock a large range of Manic Panic and Crazy Color hairdye, as well as a range of jewellery, accessories and shoes. There is a section catering especially for the Roller Derby crowd ... which is probably how they've stayed open for so long since the latter has become incredibly popular in Adelaide. If I need an item of clothing and would prefer not to wait for postage time, I always come here first just in case they have what I need in stock ;)

(Plus it's right next to Cheap as Chips so you can stock up on junk food and tinned soup too) You will also find some regular "going out in public" kinds of clothes here too. All of it tends to be on the cheaper end of the scale and there are plenty of wardrobe basics such as leggings, track pants, plain socks and T-shirts. But you can also find some really cool stuff that you just wouldn't see anywhere else. As the name suggests, this is not high fashion, and the store reflects that. The venue is underground and very little has been done in the way of decorating. It is not a place for the claustrophobic shopper. However, prices are cheap, there is a lot to choose from and the owners have never judged me for buying 16 pairs of bed socks at once.
