Do not pay him until the work is all complete else he won't
come back!!! I found Bobby's website, Ella Finley, online and called him
and he came out and assessed the job. I'd had laminate flooring laid with no expansion gap so it
was buckling. He said he'd be able to fix it and for a day's rate do other jobs
that needed doing ie: hang pictures, mirrors, bathroom fixture and shower
screen. So far, it was the Bobby that the other reviews have praised. He came as agreed and started the job, howeverthere
were three issues; the chisel he was using to cut away at the laminate floor
snapped and he didn't have a spare and, I had bought the wrong laminate
beading, he had not come with tools to do the other jobs eg: drill for tiles to
hang the shower screen. We
decided on another date for him to come back and finish the work with a new
chisel and for me to have bought the right beaading. I paid him half the agreed amount. The day came (I'd taken the day off work) I texted him that
I was waiting only to get a text back informing me he'd damaged his shoulder playing football. He'd texted me earlier in the week saying he'd not be coming I
never got that text and to be honest I don't think he ever texted me! My attempts to reschedule another visit for him to come and
finish the work fell on deaf ears. He did not respond to my texts or phonecalls
on his mobile. Christmas was approaching and I wanted the work done and completed.
I rang the landline and spoke to someone who informed me that Bobby was at
work. How is he working with a damaged shoulder?.errrrrmm he is doing light
duties. What light duties?..He is doing light duties. I explained my issue and left my
number for him to contact me and arrange a visit. Not surprisingly in the next
week i never got any such phonecall. I was not going to be brushed off and mugged out of my money
so easily and so i rang and rang the landline until I got a text telling me to: stop ringing me, u did nothing but mess me around.would u
go to work expecting a customer to be behind you watching over ur shoulder
every time u turned round? Then decide u don't like the beading you bought
which was down to u.dnt contact me again im very stressed with a personal
medical worry He never intended to come back and also conveniently forgets
that he broke his chisel. On the day he'd come I had other issues with the flat
and was chatting to the relevant builders and even if i was watching over his
shoulder, it's my flat!!! I would just like my money back and put the stressful saga
behind me. read more
