I unfortunately started paperwork for my divorce myself, but when things got sticky, I had to hire an attorney for to some alcohol abuse issues.
All of this has been aweful, but I feel Joy did not take the time to understand my case, what I needed and she was difficult to get a hold of. I never knew what the next step was and I always had to request for her to start something, she would never suggest what I needed to do. Isn't that what a lawyer should do? Guide you? Desperately needed and I she to hear often about child support, but she never began any type of child support conversations with the courts. She responded "we will get to that later". I had to eventually hire a different lawyer because we were getting nowhere and he was already a few thousand dollars in arrears.
When I did change lawyers, the office wouldn't send my file, so my new lawyer's office had to send a runner (which I paid for).
I can go on.
She's not cheap, so I expected much better results. I was very disappointed to put it lightly. read more
