Don't get me wrong, it's good late at night when you're drunk or hungry or both, and it's actually quite cheap. The menu is extensive, and they whip the food up in pretty quick time. But to me it seems that all the pizzas are basically the same (there's like 50 on the menu or something) and none of them are particularly special - I'd probably choose the calzone over anything else. But what really riles me is that they charge 10p for a can of Rubicon compared to a normal, boring drink. I am a firm believer than Rubicon is one of the joys of the world and should be available at standard prices so that everyone tries it at least once. Mmm...mango.

After browsing Just Eat for a while I decided on Sinbad's, which had a high average rating, and a surprisingly large number of ratings compared to other places, but I went for it anyway! I opted for a pizza as I've fallen out a little with my previous regular places due to a downturn in quality. Delivery came on time, and although the delivery boy wasn't all smiles or anything, he had the change from a tenner ready and waiting in his pocket, which I was quite impressed with. The pizza itself was pretty good - I went for a deep pan chicken tandori. The toppings were plentiful and tasty, and the crust wasn't too big (this gets right on my nerves!). Overall, a good first experience. I'm not sure if eating it whilst watching Jean-Claude Van Damme cry made it better or worse though! But I'll definitely have another go at something else on the menu in the future.

So the quality is good. There is no eat in facility, but it is the best end to a night in Yeadon to pick up a Rivoli pizza on the way home. The staff are always friendly and seem to enjoy chat and banter especially on a Friday or Saturday night - when there are a few merry folk waiting for thier pizzas. You can see them preparing and cooking all the food, fresh to order, so you can see how clean the kitchen area is. They do a local delivery service too.

Praise be then for the The Roast. Their main selling point is the variety of freshly roasted joints each day, allowing for a choice from beef, pork, lamb etc all available for sandwiches. The quality and flavour never fails and they offer a variety of excellent sauces, fillings, breads and other such additions. They even have capers, capers I say! On top of this the staff are polite and friendly, they have a little courtyard outside at the back for summer days and all their ingredients are always fresh and high quality. UPDATE: This has now changed hands to Cafe Lopez, which has kept a similar menu, but decided to cut costs (but not prices). Therefore what used to be a fresh ciabatta, full of tender warm roast beef, fresh rocket and freshly shaved parmesan, is now a cheap bap full of tough, cold beef, topped with iceberg lettuce and smothered in cheap, pre-grated parmesan. Uni Pizza deliver a great pizza at a great price! However the vast menu makes me slightly skeptical about what cuisine they specialize in and how yummy the food can be on such a contrasting menu can be! Challenge Sandwiches has a pretty pink and white shop front that would befit a charming little cupcake shop making it stand out from the others with their stereotypical take away exterior. And I must say I do find the name rather amusing.They sell baguettes, wraps and paninis and also sell a range of sundries, such as samosas and bhaji. I admit to only having had a bite of one of their sandwiches, which at the time tasted amazing but this was at stupid o' clock in the morning with a rumbling tummy after a boozy night so I suspect most anything, especially containing melted cheese, would have tasted pretty good. The main thing that stood out for me was the customer service. There were a bunch of hyperactive drunken waxed-chested low cut t-shirted lads whooping and gallivanting around the limited space inside Challenge Sandwiches and generally exhibiting that notorious student lack of awareness of anything other than their own hilarity. I haven't really gotten any of their other sandwiches, but the Donner is so good that I've just been sticking to what I know... maybe I'll be adventurous one day. What makes it so good is that they pack it with meat... PACK. I like meat is all. Seriously though... this place WOULD definitely get 4 stars, but just recently I went around Europe for a while and France and parts of Germany sell their Donner Kebabs on Panini-like bread instead of the toasted wrap they put it in here... Oh MY GOOD GOD... like these kebabs couldn't get any better... they totally did. I still go to Challenger as my choice in Leeds, especially since it's so close to my place, but after having a legit Kebab in some bread else where in Europe... You're talking approximately £2.50 per sandwich on average but you won't be disappointed- the indgredients used and the range of choices are excellent and I can almost guarantee you won't be hungry afterwards either! The hot sandwiches are great for a change and the cakes are all homemade and gorgeous. Staff are all really nice and have a genuine passion for their jobs.

They have more than your average fillings too - they are more adventurous here. You can also choose to have a sandwich made up as you wait - you choose the type of bread from a large selection which arent your average breads. Then you can choose what to put in it - be it cheese and apple to raisin and jam - if they have it they will make it. You can even watch them make it for you. They also do salads and jacket potatoes and quich slices and there is a lot of choice for desserts which look mouthwatering. They also have a good selection of crisps and pops which arent your everyday normal selection - they offer some posh ones too. The staff are lovely and the place is very clean.
