Joel Seidel and his associates are a legal team with years of experience, unique and flexible ideas, and a legal passion and drive that has led them to create laws that are now in place to support not only their clients, but all others facing family law injustices. If you are looking for a family law attorney, there is nothing simple about the road ahead, but meeting with Joel and discussing your case is simple. Joel and his associates welcome you into their office for a face to face understanding of your personal situation and goals, and continue to avail themselves by phone, text, or email as you continue through your case. Joel and his associates are recognized throughout our local court system and have earned the respect of the court and fellow bench officers earning them the opportunity to support the outcome of your case through successful communication, mediation, or trial hearings. As a recent client I can tell you that my case was unjust; my partner was deceitful, my home was compromised, and my personal safety affected, and at all turns Joel Seidel and his associates were present, supportive, and responsive with next steps until case end.

I retained Joel Seidel in October 2023 for a family law trial scheduled for February 2024 involving…read morecomplex financial and business valuation issues. Before retaining him, I specifically explained that my priorities were pursuing financial discovery, valuation of my ex husband's medical corporation, hidden income concerns, and a Family Code §2640 reimbursement claim exceeding $126,000. I was assured that these issues would be aggressively pursued and that his office had substantial experience handling high conflict financial family law litigation. I then spent months gathering and providing detailed financial documentation to his office, including bank statements, contracts, financial records, and evidence I believed demonstrated financial concealment and inconsistencies involving my ex husband's business operations. Despite this, meaningful discovery efforts did not begin until very late in the case. Subpoenas and discovery were initiated only shortly before the February 2024 trial date, leaving little time for proper follow through or enforcement. As trial approached, I became increasingly concerned that the case was not prepared for trial despite having retained counsel months earlier. Instead of moving aggressively forward with litigation, pressure shifted heavily toward settlement and Mandatory Settlement Conference discussions immediately before trial. Mr. Seidel repeatedly expressed skepticism that my ex husband's medical corporation had measurable value and characterized it more like a "loan out corporation" rather than a profitable medical business with enterprise goodwill and ongoing contract relationships. Yet the court later reserved jurisdiction over business valuation post judgment and moved toward appointment of an Evidence Code §730 neutral valuation expert. He also advised that my §2640 reimbursement claim was likely not provable despite my possession of checks and written documentation supporting the separate property contributions. I later prevailed on that claim at trial and was awarded reimbursement exceeding $126,000. One of the most difficult aspects of this experience was the repeated feeling that my concerns regarding financial concealment and economic abuse were not being taken seriously despite the amount of documentation I was providing. I have since come to believe many women experience what I call the "Cassandra Effect" in family law litigation: women raise concerns regarding hidden income, financial manipulation, coercive financial behavior, or business irregularities, but are treated as emotional or unrealistic until evidence later confirms many of those concerns. Ultimately, I achieved significantly better results at trial than what I had been repeatedly told was realistic or likely achievable. My experience with Joel Seidel left me feeling unheard, poorly advised, and pressured toward settlement despite substantial unresolved financial issues. If your case involves complex business valuation issues, hidden income concerns, financial manipulation, or economic abuse dynamics, I would strongly encourage you to carefully evaluate whether this attorney is the right fit for your case.

Joy and Bradley have been a huge blessing to my Father and I…read more My Dad is 79 years old and his Ex Wife, who he divorced over 35 years ago, decided to press charges and sue my father for missed alimony payments. This news has been distressing for us, especially since this was our first holiday season with out my own mother, who had passed in August of this year. My Fathers Ex Wife decided to sue and press charges in November. It was a very stressful Thanksgiving when I saw that my Dad had been served these charges. I looked up a Law Firm close to where my father lives and found Joy and her firm. I am so glad that I pushed my Dad to apply when I did! Joy and her team looked over the papers and saw we had already missed a court date and did not receive all of the papers as expected. I am so Thankful that Joy took on my Dad's case! Joy assigned Bradley to be my Dads Lawyer and I have been nothing but impressed by him. Bradley has gone above and beyond helping my Dad understand the charges and his options. Even when they had to appear in court some distance away, Bradley took it upon himself to drive my Dad down to the Court House. (Something I was so worried about! Thinking that I would have to take time off work to make sure my Dad got up on time and be ready for.) Since my mothers passing, I have noticed that grief has slowed down my Dad a bit. I live 3 hours away from him and work full time, so looking after him has been a challenge for me. I am dealing with my own grief in loosing my mother but I cant imagine what my Dad is going through, having just lost his Best Friend and the Love of his life. Speaking with Bradley after the trial, that had been thankfully thrown out, made me feel comforted that my Dad is in good hands and is being taken care of. Bradley is a very smart, well spoken and kind person. My Dad has been talking up Bradley a lot on our phone calls. Saying how he listens to him and allows my Dad to talk out his grief and fears. My Dad feels supported and very Thankful to Bradley and Joy. Even though the trial had been thrown out, Bradley was already starting to prepare for any future charges from my dads ex wife. Naturally on Christmas Eve, she did press charges on him again. I know this battle is not yet over, but I have so much confidence and faith in Bradley and Joy. They have brought my Dad and I so much peace and comfort. Something I would not have expected feeling so soon since my mothers passing. I want to Thank you Joy and Bradley for everything you have done and are doing for my Dad. Thank you Thank you Thank you!

From the very first consultation, Joy and Bradley treated my case with so much care, support, and empathy. From the moment we started working together, the entire Kraft Miles team showed nothing but professionalism, dedication, patience, and kindness. I want to give a special thank you to Bradley for being such an amazing attorney. He showed me how seriously he takes his work and how much he truly cared about me and what was best for my daughter, even outside of regular work hours and on weekends. For Joy, I do not have enough words to express my gratitude. Even while facing medical issues, she still took the time to represent me and my daughter in court and made sure we were protected. Because of her dedication, my daughter was not separated from me, and for that I will forever be grateful. The entire Kraft Miles team was kind, supportive, and passionate. Thank you for making my problem your own and for representing my daughter and me with so much heart and dedication, as if we were your own family. I would give 10 stars if I could. I am forever grateful to Kraft Miles, A Law Corporation, and their entire team.
