Our wedding was mid October; we got in touch with Michael in May after we booked the venue and got his info from the bridal bazaar. I 90% planned my brother's wedding 2 years ago and man we had a lot of regrets, especially our DJ back then. So for my wedding, I was very particular about who I hired for our bicultural event. Michael was excellent!\ He arrived on time and set up seamlessly. The lights were a lovely addition as well as the photo booth that everyone loved. He played the requested songs for the ceremony and event started the music early as our guests arrived 30 min early! He played my perfectuly curated cocktail hour music and a few extra from the genre requested and did a great job of blending our grand entry song with our first dance (from Pitbull/Shakira to a slow song is not easy). The rest of the night was a joy with a perfect mix of Persian music (note, Michael does not speak Persian so I gave him a list of songs that he confirmed to have and we went off of that) and American fun music that we loved. We provided him with the list of persian songs, specific songs for specific dances, and our spotify wedding list to reference for antyhing additional and he did such an amazing job. It is not easy playing music from a culture you're not familiar with and we felt so lucky that Michael just knew what to do. All of our guests enjoyed the music and we had a fantastic night. He did a great job MCing as well and even learned a few words in Farsi (Persian) to pronounce for distinct parts of the wedding. I cannot recommend him enough. The one thing I will say is getting a hold of him before the wedding can take a little time; we set up a few meetings and I recommend doing this to communicate what you want and discuss all components- he provides A LOT of services in his package so if you have a vision, walk him through exactly what you want and he will execute it. read more

We hired Elite Party DJ for our wedding, DONT HIRE is the nicest thing I could say. It was a mess from start to finish. Their communication was misleading - they made a lot of promises in their sales pitch that they completely failed to deliver on. The quality of their work was just plain disappointing. For a few examples, my walk down the aisle music was rushed/ cut short, barely any of the music we had carefully selected for cocktail, dinner, & dancing was actually played. The DJ even forgot what our father-daughter dance song was, leaving my dad & I standing awkwardly on the dance floor in silence, I had to curtly say what it was and by then I was so embarrassed I couldn't even dance. Our first dance started playing before we could even get to the dance floor, so we had to quickly run to the dance floor resulting in my husband accidentally stepping on my dress ripping a huge hole my train. Before the speeches / dances during dinner He asked if he could take song requests, we said ok because it's normal at weddings? What is not normal & or professional is asking people to "tip / pay " for song requests through an app! The amount of people who thought we were out for a money grab was embarrassing. Out of our entire dancing playlist we created (well over 50 songs) only 6 songs were played. Not to mention when he left to go set up the "cold sparklers", the music completely stopped so myself, my husband & the coordinator had to track down his " partner" to get the music going again, turns out she was clueless on how to work his system so it resulted in "girls just want to have fun" song on straight repeat for the remaining time we had the venue!! If your looking for someone that's professional and accommodating hire micheal and team. He was able to fit us in on very short time period. He showed up to our venue early for set up and was on time to start. We hired him for the DJ package which included photo booth, dancing clouds, and full DJ set up. Everything was perfect loved that his team watched over the booth and kept it all organized through the event. We had a quinceañera and the teens love his playlist and fast response to requests. We hired Michael for our wedding. He was WONDERFUL! He was professional, accommodating, and a blast to work with. He took requests and played the songs we chose and followed our wishes. He was so flexible! My dad changed our father-daughter dance song 10 mins before the ceremony and he NAILED IT! He showed up early and was set up before the ceremony started and he was able to attend! He even got us some AMAZING pictures of my dad and I walking down the aisle. One of my favorite pictures is of my father and me that Michael took. Our food was VERY delayed due to a miscommunication between my caterer and rental companies and he just went along with it and played some songs that really got people up and dancing! BEST DECISION! My father-in-law actually booked Michael for our wedding and I'm glad he did. Michael did the music for both our ceremony and reception and he was great. He was very available and responsive prior to the wedding. We took a little longer than we should have getting him pictures and our song list and he was still able to work with us with no problems. I loved his setup with the screen showing pictures of us and then later in the night it was showing videos to go with the music. He had a fog machine for our first dance which was amazing! He also had a photo booth set up as well and our guests loved it. We got a photo book that went with the booth, which i wasn't expecting initially but am so glad to have as it makes an excellent keepsake to look back on. Michael provided services at my daughter's wedding in Julian CA in December. We went with the full package which included the photo booth, dancing on clouds effect and MC & music for the ceremony. Professional from start to finish! The flat screen above the DJ booth added another level altogether, with the bride & groom's personal photos rolling all evening. He played music from the request list, took on the spot requests and mixed in music as he best knows, to keep the crowd dancing. You'll do a wedding "once in a lifetime", so don't skimp and hire the cheapest DJ you can find. It DOES make a difference, as a professional DJ and MC sets the tone and mood and keeps the wedding moving along in an organized yet memorable way. We had an awesome experience with Michael and Brandon at our wedding of 250 guests. Communication was easy and always prompt. Michael and Brandon showed up to our event and set up on time. Even with an "oh no" moment (important piece for the power was missing), we were pleased that Michael quickly problem solved the issue making it practically unnoticeable. I only found out when my coordinator mentioned it to me a few days later. Nice set up but wished the sound would've been louder for the folks in the back. Extra speakers placed toward the back of the room would have been a huge plus as our venue was large and opened up to the outside. Nonetheless, everyone enjoyed themselves. Other than that, Michael was awesome with the music and timeline / announcements. Brandon rocked out with his sax. We were super impressed. We hired Michael for our wedding (he did both the ceremony and the reception) this past weekend, and it was awesome! The smoke machine for the first dance was really romantic and the photo booth was a hit with all the guests. We got our photo album from him the same night which was nice to look through and relive the laughs as we relaxed later at home. We were able to toggle back and forth between dancing and karaoke, and it was so adorable seeing the kids having fun with it. He was set-up and ready to go in plenty of time and the equipment looked and sounded great. We hired Michael for our wedding on 4/16/2016! Everything was perfect, he arrived early with a great setup. He streamed our pictures on his TV above him with perfect clarity and speed. This past weekend Michael DJ'd our wedding and he was awesome. He was awesome leading up to the wedding with prompt and easy going communication. He was awesome the day of our wedding showing up with plenty of time to set-up, making me feel very confident and at ease with that music and the sound system would be perfect. I used his "services" on August 16th (just last month) for my wedding in Mission Bay San Diego. I would definitely not use his services again nor would I EVER recommend him. He never showed up to our ceremony as agreed (he later told us he went to the wrong wedding) so there was no music at the ceremony for our guests as they waited, I had to walk down the isle in near silence, and no one could hear our vows since we had no microphones or speakers and our ceremony was outside on the bay. Then once we arrived to our reception our last name was pronounced wrong- and everyone else's in our bridal party. He did not set up speakers on the second floor where we all had dinner- once again as he agreed. So, instead he blared music from downstairs only creating a lot of base noise our guests couldn't hear over. Then the mic he gave he gave us to use for our family and friends to make toasts kept cutting in and out and eventually everyone had to shout their speeches because the mic would work right. He played songs we specifically stated we did not want played and when my husband requested he played songs from the playlist we provided him we were told several times he never downloaded them. When we confronted him about the multiple issues we had with the service we were given he only made excuses and blamed us. For someone who claims to have 20 years of experience, he was completely unprofessional. There was no apology given and he gave us horrible customer service. Unfortunately, we paid him in advance or else I would have never paid him the remaining balance. He nearly ruined our wedding day and we will never be able to redo our special day. The only positive thing I can say is that his saxophonist, Brandon, played excellent (although not as much as we thought- during dinner as agreed I.E.) and he was definitely trying to keep our guests happy. I hope he finds a new partner who will give a better reputation and opportunity to grow. read more

We hired Michael for our March 14, 2015 wedding and we were very pleased! I originally had met Michael and his saxophone player Brandon at a bridal show at Pala Casino. A week or so later I received a follow up email from Michael and I really liked how personalized his email sounded not like some of the other generic emails that I received from large DJ companies. I set up an appointment a few weeks later and we hired him. His pricing is affordable which was a huge plus for us. He has a great sequence of events worksheet to work off of so that he can make the announcements at the reception. We gave him the songs that we wanted to be played and also a do not play list, he made sure all the songs we requested were played. We really enjoyed Brandon the saxophone player during our cocktail hour and during dinner, he played along to the music and walked around and serenaded our guests. Also a nice bonus is that he has the option of karaoke and my hubby is a big karaoke fan and so are a lot of our friends. The only thing we were a bit disappointed with was the volume of the music, we had to ask for him to raise the volume a few times and some guests commented on how they could not hear the announcements. I do recommend his services though, just be sure to remind him to keep the volume up if you want your music and announcements loud, we had a big reception hall so we needed it to be pretty loud which maybe we should have communicated a bit more beforehand. read more
