If your coming down Constitution towards town, its on your right and you have to do a bit of a U-turn to get into it. There's four pumps and it gets really busy at rush hour through the traffic. I've only filled up here a few times, mostly when its an emergency. This is because one time they made me pay before I filled up, which I hated. I know it's perfectly within their right to do this, but there no sign telling me and I was just shouted at over the tannoy. There's a very little shop inside selling the essentials, though I'd avoid that if I were you. I brought milk here once and it was off even though it said it was within date. A car wash had also just opened here as well. I don't know exactly how it works as the fore-core is slightly small and it narrows at one end. It's quite cheap though, it says that currently (June 2015) it's £2.50 for a wash, which is not too bad at all.

From what I've seen they always do a very good service, they are fast and the prices seem pretty reasonable ranging from £3 for a basic wash to £40 for a full valet. A wash starts at £4 and a valet from £5. I think this is decent value and they do a good job. The other bonus for these guys is their location. Next to a lovely newsagent and cafe and relatively quiet as you need to know about these guys, rather than passing them on your usual journey.

I've generally considered these places overpriced and normally reason with myself that I can wash my own car for half the price. However, after one particularly dirty drive to Birmingham, I happened upon this place, and seeing that they'd do a wash (without a dry) for just £3, I decided to give it a go. The guys working were all very friendly, working quickly and efficiently, and I can safely say I got my money's worth. Sparkle offers a range of services, going right up to a £50 for a full exterior clean and polish, full interior clean, and even an engine clean! My car's worth less than £50 so I couldn't really justify that, but if the quality of their £3 service is anything to go by, I'm sure they'd do a great job.

I'm too lazy to wash it myself, so the most convenient and safest option (in terms of minimising potential of damaging your car) is a hand car wash! There are numerous amateur car washes that have popped up everywhere, which is great for us motorists because it means the prices are always competitive. Brilliant hand car wash is only £2.50 for a thorough clean of your car. They jet wash it all over first to soften tough dirt, spray a special spray on the tyres and then scrub it all over by hand before washing it down. I usually stand and observe them cleaning, which tends to ensure they do a good job! It can get busy but they have a large forecourt so there's plenty of space to park and wait.
