I ended up going a different direction due to the added complexity (adding ventilation and a layer of insulation) and so I could complete some of the work myself without interfering with their crew's schedule. His work was great, he was responsive in every way and it turned out beautiful with irrigation and a water feature. We could not have been happier with his work. We have used multiple contractors over our 40 years of home ownership and he is one of the very best.

I received an email on Monday after 6pm that said "Our scheduler will contact you 1st thing in the morning." I did not receive a call (or text or email) from anyone--even after I sent a polite follow-up email and another polite phone message. I am OK if they could not schedule right away, but they should respond with their true availability and communicate if that availability changes. I pray that he will find guidance to help him be accountable in his business.

Also, the company is experimenting with AI and most of the time you end up communicating with one of these entities who have human names. I would guess part of Mark's problem was the new technology not coordinating with its human counterpart and creating glitches in scheduling. I also suspect the AI technology is creating problems with their phone network. When I called the office and spoke with an actual human being, there was static or disruption on the line that made it difficult to hear. It also seemed I was being given unrealistic time frames. I assume it's one of those situations where the estimator tells you what you want to hear rather being upfront so I can have a realistic expectation and plan accordingly. Anyway, I was going with the company, but have never heard back. Actually, I did hear from their AI who asked if I would recommend the company. I said "no" and then AI wanted me to call them and I said, "no" to that too.
