Another great experience! We usually have a dining experience, but this time it was a different experience with a massage, which made it even more enjoyable. I have had massages several times in Japan, but this was my first time in America. Simi Valley is a little far from Ventura, but I was happy to have this experience. Everything inside was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. First I filled out a form answering a few questions, then I was taken to a private massage room. We all had a 30-minute complimentary massage, it was short for the whole body, so I decided to have the massage focus on the upper body. The room was dimly lit, relaxing music was playing, and the bed had a hot mat so I was already feeling sleepy as I lay on it. As soon as the woman who was massaging me started massaging me, her fingers changed into something like a massage tool, which was amazing. Before I received the massage, I thought my neck and shoulders were a little stiff, but I realized that they were stiff. When the masseuse massaged the lump on my neck, the hard lump became soft. It felt so good that I didn't feel like 30 minutes was enough lol My neck stiffness improved after just 30 minutes of massage, so it will get much better if I go there frequently. After the massage, she introduced me to courses including special discounts for Yelp Elite members. I wish the location was closer to Ventura. Elements Massage has other locations, and members can go to any location. I hadn't eaten since last night, so I was hungry and there were the croissants and muffins for Yelp Elite, it was nice. Maybe it's an additional service, but it would be even better if there was a nice scent with an aroma diffuser during the massage. I think it was helpful that there was a passage for wheelchairs at the entrance. Thank you so much for the great experience!!

I've spent years hunched over the computer, hunched over the steering wheel during long commutes, hunched over the table as I hide eating way too many dressers from family and friends... So I was thrilled when I had the opportunity to have a massage here at Elements Massage. I was immediately greeted by friendly office staff and welcome to a take something from a table filled with fruit and pastries. I was given paperwork to complete to indicate whether I had any medical issues that could help/hinder my massage plus areas I wanted to focus on, plus other general information I completed. Whitney was my massage therapist, who guided me to a massage room, and immediately made me feel comfortable. She turned the temperature up for me on the massage bed (it was cold today), went over with me what I wanted to focus on getting massaged (which was back and shoulders since I feel hunched over all the time -see above), and answered any questions I had. She was able to work out the knots in my shoulders, and I found myself completely relaxed. The temperature was perfect. The music was relaxing. And her massage was completely on point, the pressure points just right! I walked out of the room feeling completely at ease, and also felt like my posture was the best it had been in years! I felt strong and confident - and this was all because of a 30 minute massage given to me by massage guru Whitney! You will not go wrong coming here. You'll walk out feeling lighter and more at ease. I just wish there was a location closer to where I live. I'd like to thank Whitney, Elements Massage, and Yelp for giving me one of the best massages ever - and a happy and relaxing day!

Who doesn't love massages?! This was certainly a nice treat and my body definitely needed it. Really thankful to be assisted by Miguel today. Miguel was very insightful and helpful with some of my acute body issues. He immediately recognized my hip misalignment ultimately leading to various troublesome areas. He also recognized tightness in my right forearm and recommended some nice stretching exercises. To receive this type of education showed him going above his normal job duty. I really appreciated it. Finally there was a nice treat table to complement the relaxing afternoon. With it all being said, a follow up visit sounded ideal. I was also able to meet and talk with both the manager and owner who were pleasant with both this and a recent experience. Grateful for your hospitality. Thank you again and look forward to my upcoming follow up with Miguel!

How LUCKY am I that I got to experience a yelp elite event and it included a massage? SO LUCKY. Super, super grateful for the experience, and yes, it was an event, BUT I can easily say this place was great! I have always been curious about The Elements Massage franchise and wasn't sure it would be nice, but IT IS! Clean, welcoming ,simple space with staff that are truly gracious and informative! Dude, I liked it so much that I "joined"! How could I not? UNDER $100 bucks a month for an hour massage that if I can't make, I can bank! Or double up? I mean that is superb AND it's a GOOD massage! AND if for some reason I don't want I continue it's easy to cancel - no weird hidden fees! Also, I really liked this Simi location - the manager knew her stuff and was so darn welcoming. I truly hope others will check them out.

I'm still a noob to the Elite Squad so I don't have many events under my belt and I don't have any expectations at all. I was surprised to see this offering but super excited to jump at the chance for a 30 minute massage. The front staff were very welcoming and super informative. I met the owner too and she was very friendly. Lisette was very kind and both gentle and firm when giving me my massage. I loved the soothing music playing in the dimly lit room, added to the calming mood. And I loved the warmed bed awaiting me. That is such an extra touch that I strongly encourage all to try. Can't wait to see my massage therapist, Lisette, again!

What a great way to kick off my weekend! Many thanks for this wonderful experience from Elements Massage Simi Valley and Jara for organizing this! Also many thanks to Juliette who provided me a perfect massage to focus on some of my top areas of needs! the 30 min massage made a big difference! Also thanks for all the breakfast treats from Elements Massage Simi Valley. What a great experience for my first massage in Simi Valley! I look forward to another one soon!

This event could not have come at a better time - I am about as stressed at work as I have ever been and could feel how tight my shoulders and back have been, not having had a massage since January. I spend a lot of time hunched over at a computer writing reports, and I also have an old lower back injury/degenerative spine condition that creates a lot of tightness and pain. Upon arrival, the staff were very friendly and explained how everything worked. There was a comfortable waiting area to complete the intake form and wait for your massage therapist. I was greeted by Lizette, my massage therapist, and she guided me to the room and waited an appropriate amount of time for me to undress and get under the blankets before knocking. As a larger woman, I have been on some massage tables that don't feel as comfortable. Although I would not say that this is the most comfortable table I have been on, there was nothing to complain about - it was comfortable and sturdy and the blankets felt soft. The room itself was a little small, with just enough room to walk around the massage table, but it does the job. The lighting and temperature in the room was perfect for me - I don't like being overly warm and sometimes that can happen. There was some soft music in the background and even though it was only a half hour massage, I was able to get to a very relaxed state, which as someone with anxiety, can be quite difficult for me at times. Lizette asked me what areas I would like to focus on, and I said my neck, shoulders, and back, and that is what she did. I probably should have said I still would have liked the rest of my body to be massaged but I understand that was probably difficult to do in only half an hour. She started off with too much pressure for me but I let her know it was too firm and she quickly adjusted and checked in on a few occasions to make sure the pressure was okay. One of the best parts of the massage was the warm towel placed over my back towards the end, it was such a nice feeling. After the massage was over and I had gotten dressed, she greeted me with a cup of water, which I appreciated and expect at any good massage place, since staying hydrated after a massage is so important. She had also written out a little treatment recommendation card, which was a nice afterthought. The owner was out in the front with the rest of her staff and had set out a lovely spread of refreshments for us, as well as a cute tote bag, as we looked over the specials that were being offered today - the special being offered to become a member was very reasonable and I like the format that they have setup when it comes to the membership. However I ultimately decided not to sign up as the Simi location is a bit far from me in Ventura. However, I may consider signing up in the future and would definitely encourage others in the area to consider a membership there. I left feeling so relaxed and that relaxation has carried over to the rest of the day. Thank you Elements Massage and Yelp!!

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a 30-minute deep tissue massage at Elements in Simi Valley. The overall experience was quite positive, marked by professionalism and comfort from start to finish. The masseuse was exemplary, exhibiting a high level of professionalism and ensuring I felt at ease throughout the session. Their expertise was evident as she focused on my upper back, neck, and shoulders, effectively relieving tension and stress from these areas. The ambiance of the room contributed significantly to the relaxation. It was spacious enough to avoid any sense of claustrophobia and dimly lit, which created a soothing and tranquil environment. The heated massage table was a delightful touch, adding an extra layer of comfort to the experience. The massage itself was excellent. The deep tissue technique was applied skillfully, addressing my problem areas with the right amount of pressure. It was clear that the masseuse had a deep understanding of how to target and alleviate muscle tightness. Based on this visit, I am confident in saying that I will return to Elements in Simi Valley for future massages. It was a thoroughly relaxing and beneficial experience, providing much-needed relief and comfort.

Such an incredible experience! The staff were all super friendly and welcoming and didn't pressure you with any sales. They offer monthly memberships and the prices were really affordable, my gf and I are definitely considering signing up. My massage therapist was Mireya and she was a magic worker. Highly recommend!

This was the most unique and memorable Yelp event to date! Self care is often the last priority on my list and as a result of this I haven't had a massage for a few years. Because this is such a rare thing for me I really didn't know what to expect. For some reason I thought it was going to be a stuffy/fancy experience that would fill me with imposter syndrome. Instead it was warm, friendly and the staff went out of their way to make sure I felt informed and welcomed. The massage itself was absolutely incredible and my therapist was so kind and patient when I didn't know what kind of pressure I wanted and really guided me through the experience.

I went with a good friend and he even stated that this was perhaps even better than the LA Beer Festival. Some great things: -Over 80 vendors of beer, kombucha, cider and even wine -Large space -Minimal waiting times ( I hope this isn't jinxing it, please don't get too popular) -Food trucks serving some good eats -Bathrooms -Five hour event -Entertainment and activities -Easy parking (paid lot or street if you can find it). We received a souvenir glass which we used for sampling all the various drinks (shoutout to Booze League for the koozie) so that was neat. To hold us over, we checked out one of the food trucks, Shrimp vs. Chef. We enjoyed their baja shrimp tacos and baja fish tacos, which had a great crunch and light coating. They were fresh tasting and they hit the spot. Unfortunately, we had to leave early so we didn't even try a 1/4 of all the vendors, but I can tell you they came from near and far. A couple vendors that we tried and liked: Boochcraft, Pocock Brewing, Red Tandem Brewery, Twisted Oak Tavern, Barrelhouse 101, and Fourteen Cannons. Looking forward to the next one!

We rode our bicycles and there was bicycle parking available. Getting in was easy. The line moved quite fast. You received a small beer glass upon entry. They were 'hard' kombucha so you do need to pace yourself. One brand was FLYING EMBERS and the name came out of the embers of The Thomas Fire. With myself and husband being Thomas Fire victims, I mean SUR-THRIVE-ORS, it was nice to learn that a percentage of their profits goes to first responders. Stage was easy to sit around or dance if you wanted. Music was very good. Food trucks were there. We enjoyed East Indian food. Prices were fair for this type of event. I'm appreciative of Yelp granting me this invite to Dash Coffee Bar, & stopped by late afternoon on Mother's Day as a treat; Elites receive a coffee of choice + Cookie Chaos cookie. I'm not one to celebrate this holiday... all I ask of my family, kids especially, is peace & quiet. Easy peasy, & totally affordable, yet it doesn't happen even though it's only 2 days out of the year (other is my birthday). Anyways, I digress. My son joined me in this quest to Dash Coffee Bar, & he was curious about the menu's refresher bar, particularly the yuzu refresher frizz & butterfly pea lemonade, that he made a mad dash out of the car when I barely parked. We were warmly greeted upon entering, & peruse the menu for my comped drink. I inquired that I'm not a coffee drinker & asked if I may choose from refresher bar list, which she said ok, & requested the Ube White Chocolate & Yuzu Refresher Frizz. Normally, I would prefer tea with a cookie, though I imagine coffee goes better? Our cashier/barista was quick, & got the fizzy drink fast! I had to put a hand on my son to snap a pic & gently remind him that it's mine & that it's Mother's Day. Yeesh! ;-) I love, love, love this yuzu refresher... absolutely "refreshing" bubbly with citrusy sweet & sour notes!!! And the cookie was delish... good ube flavor & sweet chocolate... a match made in heaven! We polished both off in a minute! The coffee bar is a skip from Old Town, & on a quieter street: Union St. just off busy Lake Ave. The dining area is bright & spacious, & designed to allow you to "hang out" &/or work, though I'm not sure how comfy the bench & chairs are for extended periods of time. Compact menu of: expressos & coffees with add-ons, crafted bar, teas & refreshers that's fairly priced (though it seems cheaper than tea/coffee shops) with excellent, friendly service. It's a bit of a drive to Pasadena, but I'm always open to exploring the neighborhood near my brother, & sharing my finds with him (told him about DCB; he's a coffee aficionado & approves). DCB is quickie walk from his office & a short drive from home. Not convenient for me, but definitely worth a stop whenever I'm in the area visiting my big bro. Recommended: Yuzu Refresher Frizz (a must) & Ube White Chocolate Cookie. A special thanks to Yelp, CM Margaret, & the Dash Coffee Bar team for this refreshing fizz & uberlicious cookie to celebrate APIHM!

What's not to be excited about? Event was from 4-7p so I arrived around 4:30 thinking it was perfect timing...wrong! So many things wrong, I barely know where to being. Problem #1 - while angel city brewery is rather large, the parking lot legit has space for about 7 cars. Given that the event had anywhere from 150-200 tickets sold, parking was atrocious. It took me 20-25 minutes to find parking & I only did so when I gave up & headed to little Tokyo to park in a paid lot. Problem #2 - Finally walked over to angel city to find a long ass line. My friend was already waiting for me in line so thankful I was able to scoot in with her. No one at angel city explained what this line was for. At some point I found out that the venue was at capacity & it was 1 in 1 out. It would have been nice to know this, not to have had to figure it out by counting the people going in & out myself. The other really uncool thing was that they were alternating between letting in people from the ticketed vs. non ticketed line. While I understand to some extent, I paid to get in this joint/event! These other people did not so why am I not getting priority? After waiting about 30 minutes, I was finally IN (on top of the 20-25 to find parking). I checked in only to have to wait in another line to get beer for the floats. I should note that the folks at the check-in were extremely apologetic & sympathizing about the line & the wait. While it still sucked, it was nice that they were concerned about it. After that everything went much smoother....basically after I got my beer + ice cream 1 hour after I initially arrived. There were several issues, some of which were caused by the venue. 1. There was an engagement party & a birthday party going on at the same time. Why would you have 3 events during the same time? 2. No one explained why the hell we were waiting in this awful line to get in for so long. 3. The venue was not a good choice given the parking situation vs. the number of tickets sold to the event. The only reason I'm giving this a 2nd star is because of the LA Foodie staff. They went out of their way to express concern & were very sorry about the issues so that helped easy the stressfulness. Overall it was poor planning on both the venue & the event coordinator's side.
