EXCELLENT DRINKS & BAKED GOODS ============================== Thank you so much to the owners of Dash Coffee Bar for treating me to an iced matcha latte and red velvet cookie last week. I really enjoyed both and your drinks, baked goods and service are great. I also like sitting at the tables outside. When I was there I also purchased one of your blueberry muffins and that was delicious! It was so moist and filled with blueberries. I tend to order blueberry muffins or scones most of the time and I'm really glad you sell those. Thank you so much to our amazing Yelp Community Manager Margaret P. for including me on the guest list. I love attending events close to home and this one was very close. It's also a couple blocks from my husband's office which is nice.

Thank you Margaret P. and Dash Coffee Bar for this awesome event! The cold brew was rich in flavor with a nice kick of caffeine, and paired well with the red velvet cookie with white chocolate. But the item that stole the show was the cookie, it was so delicious and soft! The interior decor was very modern, cute, and clean. Definitely a great spot to take those IG photos! Also a great place to study or get some work done, as they have cute seating options with good lighting. They had plenty of parking on the street in addition to the parking lot.

Big thanks to Maragaret P and Dash coffee for the generous offer to celebrate APIHM! Finally had time on Saturday morning to head over to try their coffee and pastries. Decided on an iced pandan latte and ube toffee crunch cookie. Having only gotten 3 hours of sleep, the latte and toffee cookie was the perfect way to start my morning as we headed down to SCP. Also ended up ordering the sage and cheddar croissant which was pretty tasty. Loved how Dash took the time to warm the croissant before handing it over. Will definitely be back and will be adding Dash to my coffee shop rotation.

Dash Coffee Bar is now added onto my list of favorite coffee shops. So happy I discovered it through this yelp elite event! I tried their iced ube foam latte and let me tell you - it was BOMB. Their ube latte is made with purple yam syrup, espresso and your choice of milk. The ube foam latte is essentially their ube latte with ube foam on top. The cold foam is made with whipped cream - unfortunately, they do not have a dairy-free version of the foam. If you don't mind dairy, I definitely recommend getting the foam on top, as it adds an amazing sweetness to the drink. If ube is not your thing, they have so many other specialty lattes that you can try. I really love the variety in their menu, which makes this coffee shop so special and unique. Can't wait to go back and try more of them! The coffee shop itself is quite small - about 5 tables inside and 2 outside. The parking lot had about 9 spots, but there was plenty of free street parking around the area (not metered). Thank you Margaret P., Yelp, & Dash Coffee Bar for this experience!

Tried out this place on Mother's Day. I couldn't decide which drink to get, so I decided to get three and share it with my mom and kids as an extra treat for Mother's Day. Cute little shop with indoor and outdoor seating. Small parking lot, but I was lucky to get the last spot. The menu on the wall was a little hard for me to read (I didn't have my glasses on.) so thank goodness there was a menu on the counter. Thank goodness no one was waiting for me to order, because I took quite a while. The lady behind the counter was very patient with me. I FINALLY chose: ube latte which had purple yam syrup, espresso, and milk (my mom loved it), purrrfect in purrrple which was topped with ube foam (not to sweet), and matcha frizz which had syrup and tonic (my daughter hated it, but I liked it). Several choices to choose from the baked goods section. All looked yummy. Besides what's on the menu, you can also purchase bottled drinks which were located near the counter. Definitely would return when I'm in the Pasadena area. Thank You Margaret and Dash!!

I had such a blast at Dash Coffee Bar. I wasn't sure from the previous photos if there were seats to work, since it's a small shop, but there was plenty. I'll be sure to bring my work laptop when I'm looking for a change in scenery. I ordered the Iced Camo - a thick matcha foam drink over iced coffee. The foam was thiccccckkk, almost like matcha ice cream. I tried to drink through the strawless sip lid, but couldn't through the matcha foam layer. I eventually had to get a straw to mix the drink. It taste much better when it's mixed. I paired it with Ube Cookie. Both were so delicious. Thank you Dash Coffee Bar for sponsoring the event and thanks Margaret (and the Yelp team) for organizing. I met up with my Yelp friend Harris and we talked about cosmetic dermatology - since you know, we are getting old. I am also grateful to have made a new friend, Sam B. I talked to Sam B about Selling Sunset and lost track of time! The parking lot is a little small (one entrance through Union) and there's some street parking on Union. It wasn't too difficult to find parking when I arrived - but the store is on the left side on a one way street.

Thank you for having us :) I used to work in the building on Colorado and Lake, there're lots companies and cafes in the area. This is definitely a great option for the community. You can bring your laptop and work there, both indoor and outdoor seating with strong wifi. I got the most popular Ube latte to match my purple hoodie lol and it actually turned out really good. I sip some cafe first then mix up with the ube on the bottom. They made the Ube very smooth and not too sweet. If you want to start your day with something different, you must try!

A hidden gem in East Pasadena. Superb decor and welcoming ambient for friend to hang out, or simply grab a drink after spicy Thai food from next door. Plenty of street parking nearby and there are some spaces in the plaza as well. Thanks so much for the event! I had the ube mocha (less ice), it was a hot day, and the drink was refreshing, the ube was sweet but makes the color contrast beautiful. I picked the ube chocolate cookie, it was on the sweeter side but I still liked it!

I am super thankful for Yelp showing me this place. This might be my new spot if I'm tryna order flavorful coffee. Sometimes your homemade coffee starts to lose its delicious flavor and you just need to go buy some at a cafe. Parking: there are about 8 parking spots inside the structure. It's not that big, but at least you'll be able to see right away if someone hits your car. There is street parking if anything! Inside/Outside: there are about four tables inside the cafe that is more fitted for a one seater. If you're looking for a place to study, I highly suggest sitting outside as there are plenty of seats. However there are only about three seats that are covered in the shade. The internet is fast, and you'd be able to study here for a short time. Menu: there are so many interesting items in the menu that I want to order from. You get to have your coffee mixed with delicious flavors from Thai tea to matcha to Ube. I ordered the dirty Thai tea latte. I think this was perfect for me as it was more on the sweeter side. I also ordered their ham and cheese croissant (not shown in picture). It was okay. But, I'd love to try their other bakery items.

#2 This was my first time here and really enjoyed the drinks & baked goods from Cookie Chaos! The drink flavors were unique and it was my first time trying a Pandan Latte (alt milk; almond). For the cookies, I tried the Ube Toffee Crunch and ordered the Pandan with Mango Bits. I could eat a dozen of those cookies. I love the decors, indoor/outdoor seating, and parking lot. The parking lot was shared but for any place in LA with its own lot, is a win for me! Thank you to DASH for such a great experience and Margaret P. for organizing the event!

This is my first time going to this coffee shop. I opted for the pandan latte. The coffee itself was very good, but I barely taste any pandan in this coffee. The sweetness of this drink is perfect, not overly sweet or bitter. I got the ube toffee crunch cookie and this is one of the best cookie I had. I left the cookie on the fridge for one night and ate it the next day. The cookie was delicious and has a good chewy texture. I have had cookie chaos cookies before but this flavor is the best one I have had. Thank you Margaret and Dash Coffee for this event!

A lovely cafe perfect for getting some work done! I came in around 9:15 and was able to check in for the event without any issues. I was given the option between an ube or red velvet cookie from Cookie Chaos in South Pasadena, and ended up with the red velvet one. The cookie was soft and tender, with a pleasantly sweet flavor and white chocolate chips. I purchased a double chocolate cookie to go, and am sure that one will be amazing as well. UPDATE: the second cookie was much more dry and crumbled upon opening the bag. While still delicious, the texture was nothing alike. The ones for the Yelp event were probably freshly baked in comparison to the ones on display. For my drink I ordered an iced matcha latte, with lavender syrup. The lavender added a pleasant floral taste to the creamy matcha latte. The cafe itself is charmingly decorated, with very aesthetically pleasing tables, plants, and light fixtures. The music is a little louder than at normal cafes, but it was still a great environment for me to sit down and do some work. I ended up staying for 2 hours, enjoying the drink and cookie while writing. The wifi here seems pretty strong, and good for work, as most people at the cafe were on their laptops. The only drawback was the two huge ceiling fans inside the cafe were spinning on high on a cloudy, 65 degree morning, and I noticed multiple people going back to their cars to get jackets. The parking lot is on the smaller side, but there are street parking options nearby as well. The service was excellent and added to the welcoming atmosphere. All in all, an amazing experience, thank you Margaret and Yelp LA for the opportunity! This cafe is relatively close to my house and I know I'll be coming back for more soon.

I like matcha and I like ube. Separately. I usually stray away from mixing two flavors together because usually it is wayyy to sweet. I got the matcha ube latte and it was so good! I wish I mixed it up because it tastes so good mixed up. I would definitely come back! Thank you for all the goodies!! There are indoor and outdoor seats for studying.

I really enjoy seeing the creativity that's dwelling in people's minds and they're able to physically manifest it through skillful uses of chalk. Absolutely amazing. In the plaza area, they had artwork for a silent auction as well as a dj. The whole place was pretty taken with artist on the ground working away. Even with the heat, it was not stopping them. It is definitely smaller than the Christmas one, but it wasn't that bad. I still found it enjoyable. There are 10 different themed walk throughs. They also had an open area with a bunch of different food/drink booths. Each booth sold something different like hot food, snacks, desserts, hot chocolate, and even alcoholic beverages. Tickets are a bit pricey for a walk through. We paid $70 for my husband and I. However, it's a great place to take the family to create memories or even a date night.

There are also some other totem pole type Halloween characters. Your little kids will have fun running around the hay bale maze. The bakery is located near Arlington Heights, off Washington Blvd. & 10th Ave.; you can't miss the bright red name banner & awning. Upon entering, your senses are hit with baking & cooking scents: pan dulces & pupusas? After selecting my Yelp freebie: Alemana (vanilla muffin pound cake), I asked what's their best seller & got the Quesadilla. It's a sweet, dense cheese bread with a texture that mimics a pound cake. It was really tasty if a tad on the dry side. My son picked the Oreja, literally translates as "ear" because it looks like one. This puff pastry is also called a palmier. It's sweet, light, crisp, & flaky. M says they're way better than Costco's. I also added a Brazo Gitano (strawberry & coconut Swiss/jelly roll), & Guisano (pineapple-filled roll). Although I might have mixed up Alemana & Guisano. I figured this is a mom & pop, so a menu is not probable, & requested the server's help; she was kind enough to take the extra time to provide the names of dulce pans. There's no dulce pan menu, but there is an electronic hot foods menu behind the counter. Not sure of price points, but I got 4 items, excluding my Yelp freebie, for $11.00+. There's a 50¢ surcharge with a cc payment. It would be nice to have placards labeling & pricing the items (sometimes pricing dictates my choices & the quantity). Friendly, knowledgeable, & helpful customer service... my server took extra time to provide the names of the dulce pans & describe what's in them. While I'm not likely in this part of town, I'm definitely a fan of this Central American bakery & will stop by if I'm in this neighborhood. ***LA Foodie's Float Trip Review***…read more Needed to wait until I calmed the F down to write this review. I was pretty excited to go to this event. Ice cream + beer = beer floats. What's not to be excited about? Event was from 4-7p so I arrived around 4:30 thinking it was perfect timing...wrong! So many things wrong, I barely know where to being. Problem #1 - while angel city brewery is rather large, the parking lot legit has space for about 7 cars. Given that the event had anywhere from 150-200 tickets sold, parking was atrocious. It took me 20-25 minutes to find parking & I only did so when I gave up & headed to little Tokyo to park in a paid lot. Problem #2 - Finally walked over to angel city to find a long ass line. My friend was already waiting for me in line so thankful I was able to scoot in with her. No one at angel city explained what this line was for. All they said was that there was a ticketed & non ticketed line (meaning tickets to the event or not). That was fine for 5 minutes but this line wasn't moving at all. At some point I found out that the venue was at capacity & it was 1 in 1 out. It would have been nice to know this, not to have had to figure it out by counting the people going in & out myself. The other really uncool thing was that they were alternating between letting in people from the ticketed vs. non ticketed line. While I understand to some extent, I paid to get in this joint/event! These other people did not so why am I not getting priority? After waiting about 30 minutes, I was finally IN (on top of the 20-25 to find parking). I checked in only to have to wait in another line to get beer for the floats. I should note that the folks at the check-in were extremely apologetic & sympathizing about the line & the wait. While it still sucked, it was nice that they were concerned about it. After that everything went much smoother....basically after I got my beer + ice cream 1 hour after I initially arrived. There were several issues, some of which were caused by the venue. 1. There was an engagement party & a birthday party going on at the same time. Why would you have 3 events during the same time? 2. No one explained why the hell we were waiting in this awful line to get in for so long. 3. The venue was not a good choice given the parking situation vs. the number of tickets sold to the event. The only reason I'm giving this a 2nd star is because of the LA Foodie staff. They went out of their way to express concern & were very sorry about the issues so that helped easy the stressfulness. Overall it was poor planning on both the venue & the event coordinator's side.

This page. It's the story of how I finally got my Breakfast Club Badge, a badge that had long eluded me. I have to start by telling you about my dear friend from the Honolulu Yelp community, Nadine C. Whenever Nadine is visiting Southern California, which is quite often, she organizes these insanely fun Unofficial Yelp Event get togethers. Yelpers come from far and wide, often driving well over an hour just to get in on the Fun and hang out with Nadine. I've been to quite a few of these special events and I've met so many really cool Yelpers. When we get together at these meet-ups, we all usually exchange small gifts with each other. In a way, I guess you could say it's kind of like a California version of the Japanese Omiyage custom practiced by many Hawaiians. I say that because the whole gift exchange thing started with the sweet little gifts that Nadine brings us from Hawaii. Always the most thoughtful little presents! At one of these events my friend Rose F from down in Covina brought these super cool Yelp Breakfast Badge Coffee Mugs she designed and had made as gifts for everyone. I can't begin to tell you how excited I was to get that Breakfast Club Badge Coffee Mug! Woot woot! As I was celebrating this incredibly cool gift, I happened to mention that I hadn't actually earned the Breakfast Club Badge. As soon as Nadine heard me say I hadn't yet earned the Breakfast Club Badge, I mean within like 10 seconds, she came up with the plan. Right on the spot she announced that the next time she visited, our get together would be about getting me my Breakfast Club Badge. Someone suggested Millie's Cafe in Pasadena for the location. We quickly agreed Millie's would be perfect. Nadine immediately texted Hannah S from Monrovia and invited her to the event. Hannah said she was in. Before this I had never met Hannah and was super impressed that she would agree to help me get my badge. Right away Rose said she would come too! So wonderful and so appropriate because it was her gift of the Breakfast Club Badge mugs that got this ball rolling. I was blown away when my sweet friend Te-see B of Valley Glen piped up and said she would be there too. That was huge! Because if I know anything about Te-see, I know that she isn't a big fan of doing early morning meet -ups far from home. To come to this event she would have to get up hella early and drive a long ass way. Nevertheless, she said she'd be there. Me and Te-see are tight like that! While all this is being discussed, Nadine is texting invitations to Leilani M from Chino Hills and Pasadena's coolest Yelper, Sam B. Both said they'd try to make it. Impressive since I hadn't previously met either of these two Yelpers. But I'm telling you, it's very hard to turn down an invitation from Nadine C! As you can see from all the above, this whole UYE was nothing short of a Conspiracy! All these Yelpers coming together! Yelpers from hither and yon. All coming together to have fun with hanging out awhile with Nadine and to help me get my Breakfast Club Badge! Pretty damn cool! We met inside the restaurant. Hugs all around. Big Smiles. Gifts exchanged. We were seated at big table right in the middle of Millie's. I felt like I was the King of Pasadena. Everyone brought their personal Breakfast Club Badge Coffee Mug. Cheers to us all! Millie's turned out to be a great choice for our meet up. They were so accommodating. The service was exemplary. And the food was excellent. I had Eggs Benedict, something I usually only order on Special Occasions. Well, I'm telling you, this was a Special Occasion is there ever was one! As soon as everyone was seated we all checked in at the same time. Instantly my screen lit up with the notification I had earned the coveted Breakfast Club Badge. Just a short time after that, Sam arrived and checked in. She got her Breakfast Club Badge too. Huzzah! How cool is that? One event, Two Badges!!! It was a total rush! My head was spinning. I thought I would never get that badge. It's so ridiculously difficult to do. And I got it. I freaking got it! Earning this badge isn't something one can do on their own. It takes planning. It requires a coordinated effort. I could have never accomplished this goal without Nadine's help and the support of the amazing Yelp friends I've met at her wonderful events. So, let me start off this year by raising my Breakfast Club Badge mug and sending massive quantities of Yelp Love to the Impossibly Cool Nadine C of Kaneohe! Thank you, Nadine! You spread Aloha everywhere you go! And I'm sending heaps of Yelp Love to Rose, Te-see, Hannah, Leilani and Sam!! You guys are The Best! Thank you so much for helping me get my Breakfast Club Badge! Mikey C says: How lucky can one guy be?

Mikey's Breakfast Club Badge was our goal... And together,…read more we achieved it! The cherry on the top was: Sam got her Badge, too! It does take some work, and I'm so happy that Sam could get away from her job and check into the event before 9am! Last month, we decided that 7-11-24, Thursday, would be Mikey's Lucky Day! We would make his dream come true! It does take a village: ...because we all don't live in Pasadena, where we decided to meet. Some had to drive through LA traffic. Some drove far distances. Some had to wake up super early!!! (That's a feat in itself!) Despite all of the obstacles, we achieved this goal as a team! Good job, Te-See, Leilani, Hannah, Kayleen, Rose, and Mikey! We did it!!! Thank you! Thanks also for the goodies - also known as party favors or "omiyage" gifts in the Asian culture... That mug you made is extra special, Rose! We don't have the Yelp coaster in Hawaii, Te-See! The Cheerful Care Bear Hello Kitty looks like you, Sam! The Burt's Bees set is very useful, Mikey! Mahalo!
