My Husband and his Brother did the installation themselves bc KBL's guy was having surgery and doing it ourselves saved a lot on labor. Kevin at KBL was fantastic from start to finish. Excellent salesman and willing to talk and educate you on whatever you need in regards to your home build. He also promised to take back whatever parts we didn't need after the installation....and he did. We are now having some warranty work and we feel confident it will all go fine. I got a call a few days later saying the motor was discontinued, and the replacement was $480. I said no problem, get it coming. Then a Jack calls me up saying he needs more money to cover tax. Huh? I am in California, you are in Illinois, and your website didn't ask for tax. His explanation is they shipped direct from the motor supplier, so they have to collect tax. My explanation is I bought it from you, not your motor supplier, so your reseller certificate should cover the tax problem. and you should ship it to Illinois, if you want to avoid that. Well, Gilly the manger doesn't care, and told me its the law, blah blah blah, and even though I explained to him how taxes work, and its who your buying it from not who your shipping it to. The fact that this company docent want to ship it into their warehouse, they want to ship it direct is the reason the tax is being triggered, even though they had the wrong price on the motor, and are continuing to waste my time, they don't seem to care. Their web site say Customer Service is our number one goal for 60 years, well I beg to differ. They clearly don't care about me or my needs, and just want to nickel and dime me. ORDER CANCLED!!!
