You think they would contact me to tell me you have unused sessions that are expiring or asked me if I would like to transfer it to my son. No, money down the drain. On the other hand had excellent experience with Tutor Doctor with my daughter and tutors come to your home as opposed to you going to them. Rip off and no respect for loyalty or the amount of money you spent for tutoring with them.

They provided us with an acceptable tentative schedule, but by the time he began school the classes and tutoring sessions we had agreed upon no longer existed. Instead we settle on Social and in about a further 4 month's time, they found a math tutor for our son. Unlike the class they had promised us the tutor costs $75 per hourly session. It's very difficult to find suitably qualified extra-curricular services for learning disabled students, even for those with dyslexia (a very common disability). Due to high pressure sales tactics, last minute scheduling changes and real insensitivity towards their clients requests we found BrainBoost much less amenable than other tutoring companies in the immediate Broadway West or MACKENZIE HEIGHTS/DUNBAR area. I feel now that it's much less of a school than a business and it provides only modest value for your hard-earned tutoring dollars. My son over-performed not just because of good teaching but because of the caring of the tutoring service also; Masoud have made it a culture. They are the most caring tutors I have ever dealt with and I highly recommend them. They go the extra mile and I have found them to be more caring then other tutors I have used in the past. That's a shame that they are only active in the North and West Vancouver.

I continued on with Beg B, Int 1 and now I'm currently taking int 2 + conversation. Who would've thought I'd be able to have the skills to hold my own in Spanish!!! I can understand about 60% and I can speak in present tense and starting to feel comfortable with past tense. Hola Spanish Centre is the only school in town that allowed me to expand my knowledge as I was able to continue with the following levels from Beginner to Intermediate. They have flexible schedules, the workbooks are practical, their online module is great for extra practice and the teachers are all native speakers and super nice people. I would recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn practical knowledge while having fun. I will be going to South America in September and I'm so excited to use what I've learned at Hola. Hola Spanish offers a nice balance of grammar and written expression with complimentary courses of conversation which allows you to practice what you've learned from a beginner to advanced level. I have especially enjoyed the in person conversation classes in North. There are some really fine people there. They are very accepting and knowledgeable in their fields. There are no complaints, only praise. Most of my issues come from dealing with the administration staffs, particularly the people in charge of student registration. Most of them seem either very unhappy and just plain dismissive. My dad was rejected domestic tuition despite his PR status still being valid and is renewing. The person in charge didn't even let him explain and immediately just decided to disallow him to register in some courses. He had to contact another person who is a senior supervisor to get it sorted out. Immigrants have to through this sort of bureaucracy everyday and to see it happen in an institution of learning is disheartening. Regardless, it won't affect my opinion of VCC. I still think it is a great place for post-secondary education. I just hope that the staff will be more caring and mindful in the future.
