I used Elite because they were sent by HSA Home Warrantee. We had a leak in our roof over our porch where the main roof of the house (Spanish tile) met the porch roof (asphalt shingles). They assured me that they knew how to fix the job and spent hours on the roof. The next rain came and the leak was worse, plus there was an additional leak caused by their work. None of that bothered me. I know roofs can be tricky. What did bother me is now I cannot get a hold of them. I've called and left numerous voicemails and texts to Rob, but he will not return my calls. It's been 3-4 weeks I've been calling. Seems like they've taken the money and run. read more

Like many of the other reviews, I submitted a claim through HSA for a roof leak. Two gentlemen came out to look at it, but they only looked at one of the two leaks. They then explained what they believed was the issue and showed me photos of another chimney similar to mine! Said they would submit it to my HSA and I should hear back on Monday afternoon (it was Saturday morning). I called WEDNESDAY to find out they never submitted my claim details. THEN I learn they told HSA a completely different reason for the leak than they told me!! The type of leak they are saying isn't covered. I got TWO other roofing companies out to look st it, they both said the guy was full of it. I am having another roofer repair the leak (for $700 LESS!!) - avoid these people!! read more

Like everyone else here, HSA sent this company out for two separate claims on two separate occasions. On the first occasion, they ended up sending someone else out because Elite never followed up. The second company came out, supposedly fixed the leak and left. Six months later, spring storms roll in, roof leaks, HSA is contacted, another $100 is spent and who shows up? Elite! Now they are MIA, again, and I'm left making phone calls trying to recoup my money and find a dependable roofer. Avoid Elite contracting and avoid HSA. read more

I contacted HSA for help in resolving a roofing problem. The recommended Elite contracting. Elite told me I should replace my skylights. He ordered custom skylights and installed them. I have since replaced the entire drywall ceiling. A cost of over $15,000. The roof and skylights are now leaking and the drywall is coming loose from the ceiling. I called Robert Lewandowski the owner of elite contracting located at 165 Carnegie Ave., Clairton Pa., he did come out and climb on the roof and told me he corrected the problem. The next day water began to literally pour into my home. He will not return my calls and the problem is getting worse. WARNING REQUIRE HE GIVE YOU A LICENSE AND INSURANCE FOR FAULTY WORKMANSHIP PRIOR TO USING THIS GENTLEMAN. HELEN G Elite came out today 6/20/2017 and discovered why I had water coming into my home. Referred to this company through my HSA home warranty. They never showed up or called to cancel on the day of my appointment. They are also impossible to reach on the phone, I haven't had one phone call answered or returned. If your home warranty assigns this company to you, I would refuse and insist on a different contractor! read more

I contacted HSA for help in resolving an issue related to a semi-roof related issue (roof over covered basement). After the initial 24-48 hour time window that they were supposed to contact us with nothing happening, we reached back out to HSA, and lo and behold they contacted us on the third day. Elite Contracting came out and gave false information in their report (which was verified by a second contractor as being false) saying our base was cracked and that it was beyond their skill. A verified second opinion demonstrated that the statements by Elite were false and had nothing to do with the issue at hand. After their initial claim, they never responded and/or took responsibility for their actions which would have resulted in a loss for us of the Home Warranty referral fee. I would never recommend this business to anyone, ever, based on their poor business practices and unprofessional behavior. read more

Like all of the other reviews, we were sent to Elite Contracting by our HSA Warranty. Both are awful! Elite never got back to us with the estimate that they promised. I had to keep leaving message after message and NOTHING. Finally, I went back to HSA only to be told that the repair isn't even covered and still zero commuication from Elite. Just awful! read more

Attempted to hire Elite Contracting for a relatively simple roof repair. They stated they would write up a cost sheet and get back to me to schedule the repair, but they never called. I called them to schedule, and they were very rude and short on the phone and then stated they did not have the time right now and would get back to me. Again, they never got back to me. Giving them the benefit of the doubt as it was a busy time of year around the holidays, I gave them another chance and called again. Though they were still quite unaccommodating and unwilling to work with my schedule, I was sick of dealing with this issue, so I scheduled with them one last time, and had a relative stay at the house for the appointment I had set up. They gave me a time of arrival between 12pm-4pm. As they were still not showing up around 3:30-4, I attempted to call them numerous times to see where they were at, especially considering they knew I had a relative there waiting while I was at work. Of course, nobody answered. I received a text at 4:30pm stating they are unable to make the appointment. I gave them ample time (TWO MONTHS) and numerous tries to hire them, but I guess this company is not concerned with making money. Save yourself time and energy and avoid Elite Contracting at all costs. read more

I used Elite Contracting to fix a leak over my garage. It turned out fine. I then signed a contract with them to do other work. Painting, repairing a shed, draining and cleaning my pool, pressure washing and repairing another leak in my roof. The first day, it was fine. The second day, they packed up early and left without saying a word. I called Rob to see if he was coming back the next day. He said he thought all of the work was done. Clearly, it was not. Rob did return an finished the work. But not according to our contract. I then tried fill our above ground pool. There are several tears in the liner that were not there before. Rob will not respond as far coming to repair the damage. Take the money and run, it seems. Would not recommend. read more
