Nancy Velardo 12/2026…read moreI had severe foot pain. I could barely walk, my balance was terrible & could not sleep due to the pain. Went to a foot specialist & was told I have arthritis in every joint in both my feet. He had 3 treatments available to me. First I could try injection into top of my foot to help the pain, I could have the joints fused or they could cut a nerve to stop the pain. I decided to try the injection first. It was very painful, I mean very painful for 3 days but eventually it did help some but the site of the injection, the nerve, remained painful. That lasted about 4 weeks, but I wasn't going to do that again. I felt hopeless. Then I got an invitation in the mail to go to a presentation on how the Fix could help my foot pain. They mainly deal with neuropathy, I thought but maybe I had some neuropathy & they could at least help that pain. I decided to go for a trial. I did not have neuropathy but I was told they could help the arthritis pain. I was skeptical but I had so much relief of foot pain for a good 5 weeks that I decided to go for it. It is expensive & not covered by Medicare or any insurance, but it meant the difference of possibly being in a wheelchair if I didn't do it. So after just a few treatments I was able to walk without pain & now after 4 months of treatment I am able to walk miles, my balance is so much better, pain in my feet is minimal if at all & I can sleep. Now I am on maintenance. I still do the home treatment but only have to go every so often for Softwave treatment. I am so thankful. 5/28/26 5 months later... going every 6 weeks for the soft wave treatment. Still doing well, able to sleep without foot pain & walk as much as I want. Using the red light almost every day ( supposed to use every day) I wasn't able to do the foot bath with stimulation for several weeks but now back to doing that as I can, yet my foot pain was minimal. I am still very pleased & glad I spent the money. So thankful to Dr Russ, Stacey & staff. So kind & professional.

I know from personal experience that most doctors do NOT have Friday afternoon hours, especially to see a NEW patient. But we were desperate !! He was lightheaded from the pain and I was trying to coordinate treatment from 250 miles away !!! The receptionist was amazing!! She got my son RIGHT in to see the new, female practitioner. Although she explained that it might be a challenge to have this covered by my insurance ( complications because the new doctor was still getting registered with all the insurance companies!!), they worked it ALL out immediately. I seriously cannot sing the praises of this practice LOUDLY enough !! My son looks like a typical college kid, is quiet and was HURTING, yet he was embraced, HEARD, empowered and treated by the professional, caring staff at Coastal Chiropractic without hesitation !!! I guess I went in at 11 o'clock with an online appointment for wheezing and unproductive cough. There was nobody in the building as far as patients waiting the young man that reception who checked me in was very professional and very kind and very efficient. It kind of went downhill after that the nurse who called me back, I believe her name is Kristen was probably the most abrupt and compassionate medical person. I've come across in quite a while. She took my blood pressure and asked does your blood pressure tend to run high, not telling me that it was very high until I asked, she swooped out and the doctor came in. She spent two3 seconds touching me, listening with her stethoscope to my back didn't look down my throat didn't look up. My nose didn't palpate my chest. That was it gave me a prescription for an inhaler and an anabiotic. She did not poach me on how to use the inhaler. I am 80 years old and I've never used an inhaler so that might've been helpful as I say I think it is the day and the doctor. I would totally have given them grace if they had been very busy and were a little shortstaffed this is not the case on this day as I was the only patient. But thank you to the very nice young man at reception.
