She was my fourth dentist in Fremont area but I liked her the most. I took treatment for deep cleaning from her in March while it was second trimester of my pregnancy. This is the worst clinic I've ever been to. Two months ago, I went for a dental cleaning, and the doctor told me that part of the filling on one of my upper right teeth had fallen out and needed to be redone. I agreed. She removed the entire filling and then told me that she didn't have time to finish the procedure that day and that I needed to schedule another appointment to complete it. I said okay, and the next available appointment was two months later. This time, a different doctor worked on me. Halfway through applying the anesthesia, she told me they were going to fill my upper left and lower right teeth. I told her it was my upper right tooth that needed filling and that I've had pain while eating ever since they removed the old filling. The new doctor then told me there was no record of anyone removing the old filling and that the tooth in question was perfectly healthy, with no cavities, so it didn't need any work. I was completely confused because I know that tooth had a piece chipped off when I was a teenager from eating chocolate, and it had been filled several times before. No matter how much I pointed it out to her, she insisted it didn't need filling. Now I've had several injections, wasted time, and I still have pain when I eat. I also want to mention that the first doctor was terrible as well. She kept scraping my teeth with a small hook, and when I told her she was scraping my gums and it hurt, she sarcastically said, 'It shouldn't hurt.' I just want to say that it's not about whether it should or shouldn't hurt--I was in pain, and there's no reason for me to lie to you.This is my first time writing a review, and unfortunately, it's a negative one. I don't want anyone else to go through what I did. Although a small part of my previous filling had fallen out, I didn't have any pain while eating. The first time, they removed the old filling, which caused me pain, and the second time, they didn't even refill it. It's truly ridiculous. read more

I am a new patient of Dr.Rara and shoot you not, she is very professional and very friendly, light handed and she never made me feel worried. She never made me feel ashamed to be honest, I haven't done cleaning for a year. And instead of doing so much extra stuff that other doctors do, she just examine me and do my teeth as normal. And told me some little funny stories while she do my teeth which I find adorable and help me to ease the pain. Now I am done in everything and needed my braces to close my diastema. Dr. Rara is so gentle and warm. I went in because my gums were really hurting and I was really scared that it was something more severe and serious. When I went to Dr. Rara, she told me that I just needed a deep cleaning and it would be fine. She made me feel so much better and reassured. When I called to make my appointment as a new patient and told her I was in pain they made time to see me that day, which is AMAZING!! That really shows me she cares about her patients. Dr. Rara was strongly recommended by a colleague from AER Worldwide, Ms. Zeng. I went to visit Dr. Rara for a simple cleaning of my teeth. She then starts to poke around with my crowns, that cost me a lot of money to have done. My crowns were all fine, no issues. She then started to grind my crowns with great pressure, I jerked my head back and told her that she has to be careful, they are small ceramic crowns. She continues to grind while constantly saying "Oh my god, I've never seen crowns like these." I told her if she hasn't then she should be in my mouth trying to clean mu teeth. Her assistant at the same time, has the little camera in my face recording as if I am a lab rat or something. Surely, Dr. Rara breaks my crown. She tries to glue t back on but she loses it on the floor somewhere. Now, she and her assistant are crawling on all fours looking for the crown they lost. She finds it eventually and promised to replace it at no cost. She told me that I should make an appointment. Of course I was upset and told her that if she is not familiar with my crown, then she should have not touched my teeth. Anyways, I finally got her damn assistant to get the camera out of my face. Thank goodness, I recorded the situation myself. I recorded her on all fours looking for my crown. Anyhow, I call back to make the appointment and to my surprise, Dr. Rara refuses to replace my crown as promised. I never went back there, but I would not recommend her to anyone. And if anyone at work recommends a doctor, they're trying to put you in a bad situation. I then told my colleague that recommended her about the situation and all she can say is, "well Dr. Rara can sue you for assault if you pushed the camera out of your face." Excuse me??? I then figured out that the Dr. Rara's assistant worked at AER and is best friends with one of the employees there. Horrible experience, and this will be reported to the BBB as well. read more

Pros: cozy place and friendly people Cons: they will do their best to charge your insurance regardless the need of a dental intervention ... My story: Steeped in as a new patient for a cleaning (I am doing 4 cleanings annually). I had an overall assessment based in which resulted that I have to fix by emergency 2 feelings and a cavity (the cavity on the front teeth it will be possible to be solved with a crown) Now the funny part: the two feelings she pointed out I had them replaced in February this year. About the front teeth intervention when I was asking why it needs a crown the answer was ambiguous: if I don't want a crown at that particular teeth she will have to do it to the one next to it as she needs an easy access to do the work. Hmm... seriously? I had work done in that particular teeth in at least 4 countries and I never heard such explanation. Because I am that type of person that seeks several opinions before doing an intervention (I am extremely careful when is coming about my health ) obviously I went to ask a second opinion. I was kind of shock but relieved in the same time to hear that that there is no cavity on my front teeth so no crown required + my both filings are just fine!!!! Also the new doctor bring out something I wasn't told about it ( 2 points on other tooth that can turn out in the future into cavities therefore needs special attention from my part during the oral hygiene) All in one I am giving one star (based in my experience) for the greediness and the unprofessional services read more
