One call on Friday afternoon and Alex responded, accessed the situation, explained options to me and cabled the tree for safety. His crew arrived as promised at 7:45 Monday morning and by 2:00 the tree was down, stump ground away and area completely cleaned up. The crew boss upon arrival explained how they would proceed with the job. His crew worked efficiently and seemed well trained, rehearsed and synchronized in their jobs--I was impressed at how smoothly the whole operation progressed and was completed in a timely manner. Totally professional start to finish. This is a VETERAN owned and operated family business .

When finished, they cleaned up my yard, the neighbor's yard, and the street. My neighbor was very pleased with them. Will be hiring Cartwright next Spring for more tree work.

We have used Urban Tree Specialists for several years, but I've never written a review until now…read more Bret Cleveland, the owner, is an honest, straight shooter when it comes to the care of the trees on your property. After working with him over the years, we don't think of him as just another vendor. We think of him as someone we've built a relationship with and trust a great deal. We have several maple trees along our driveway, and the one closest to the street lost a large branch during a recent storm. This wasn't the first time the tree had dropped a major limb, so we asked Bret to assess whether it could be saved or if it was time to remove it. Once we decided to take the tree down, it took about eight weeks before the work was scheduled. That wasn't an issue for us because Bret had been upfront about the timeline from the beginning. The three-person crew arrived Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. and finished by 11:30 a.m. What impressed me most was how well the team worked together. Everyone had a clear role, they communicated constantly, and there was very little wasted movement. It was obvious they had done this together many times before. I don't know if every tree service operates this way, but I was amazed at how clean they left the job site. Every branch, twig, and piece of debris was removed. They clearly take pride in their work and treat your property with the same care they would their own. If you have storm damage, need routine tree trimming, or simply want an honest opinion about the health of the trees on your property, I would strongly recommend giving Urban Tree Specialists a call.

I would NOT recommend this company. If you value your property and expect professional customer…read moreservice, I would look elsewhere. During the job, they damaged my grass, broke multiple panes on my greenhouse, broke other glass items, and destroyed a $100 digital birdhouse. The cleanup afterward was also disappointing. What bothered me most was the complete lack of communication. At no point did they tell me these items needed to be moved or that they could be damaged. As a professional service, I assumed they would either work carefully around them or simply communicate with me beforehand so I could move them myself. After the job, I texted my contact and asked for sod replacement as the bare minimum considering all of the damage. His read receipts are on, so I know the message was received and read, but I never received a response. My mistake was paying them before these issues were addressed. Once they received payment, the communication stopped. Very unprofessional experience from start to finish. Based on the property damage, poor cleanup, lack of communication, and failure to respond afterward, I would NEVER recommend this company.
