Staples like MCL, Stein Mart, Teresa's School of Dance, Weight Watchers, and Royal Mandarin, which have been around for a while, are responsible for getting folks in the door, but new stores like the Meadow's Cafe, Antiques at Meadows, Ace Blind & Drapery, The Classic Man, Darrell's Diamonds, Repeat Boutique, and the Farmer's Market are welcomed additions that keep folks entertained and coming back to the mall. 2018 saw a lot of changes for the Meadow's Mall - new ownership and new tenants - and I'm very excited to see what else is next for this Terre Haute gem!

To be honest, it looked and felt like it was targeting women and I wondered if it would be really worth my time to stop. It actually does, for the most part, target women - especially when it comes to clothing. However, Elevated Living also has home decor, books, seasonal items and some other fun items that definitely made it worth the stop. While I'm not rushing to buy women's clothing, I have to admit that the clothing I did see was pretty impressive. Elevated Living also makes appearances at special events. The shop is pretty close to right at the corner of U.S. 36 and SR 75. It's in Danville, though it's super close to the Putnam County line. The shop itself is pretty well laid out for wheelchair users. I've never driven by it that at least a couple cars weren't in the driveway - that' pretty impressive given the shop is really in a rural area. I know they've been supportive of the Heritage Lake community (where my father also lived) and I found the prices to be unexpectedly reasonable with a nice array of price points. As is true of a lot of businesses in the area, Elevated Living has a warm, woodsy feeling to it and definitely seems to lean toward emphasizing that rural yet elevated living. A 5-star might be a tad generous, however, this is a locally owned indie gem that I'd love to see get discovered.
