After we moved out, I contacted them front office to let them know we did not owe them anything and we needed proof via photos before I paid for anything. I am prior military and my husband and I have been renters for over a decade and NEVER been charged money when leaving a place. This is ridiculous. We stayed here for 15 months and it was horrible. The neighbors was dirty, the trash compactor was always empty but people left trash on the steps and outside. People don't clean after their pets. Kids played in the parking lot and touched cars (someone, i assume a child, wrote homophobic slurs on our car) There was constant cheap weed smell coming into our unit through the laundry closet and when we to the they said our vents were just dirty. I know what weed smells like. The gate was broken all the time and the keypad sits so far from the curb that you have to open your door to reach it. I see that they have done the same thing with collections to a few other people, please contact me because I am interested in civil litigation.

Dogs pee in elevators which wasn't pleasant. Outside of the complex people will burn their tires and drag race at night which makes it difficult to sleep. They often allow food trucks to come. This is ok but most of the time they park right outside the balcony of the apartment that I stayed in so it smelled and was loud. Gate locks didn't work for a period of time and would lock me and several others out. Several of the guests smoke marijuana on their porches. Plenty more that I'll leave off the list. They charge a lot more than other complex's in the area so you would expect a much better level of service. Might want to consider a different place to rent before this complex.

They have a beautiful pool, that is well maintained and the outside restrooms are always sparkling clean! They have a nice childrens play area, a dog park, gym and clubhouse sitting area. The staff is always friendly and appear to be diligently working. The landscaping is pristine and I even see where they replace mulch frequently to keep things looking sharp. Last week they had a full spray down of all breezeways and outside balconies and everything looked so clean after. My only complaint is the parking, all tenants have a parking pass, but I frequently see the same cars sitting in visitor spots for days on end. Also, If you stop by after 9, there are literally no parking spots available in either tenant or visitor spots. Overall this is a great property with nice walking sidewalks to downtown and surrounding areas.

We Villagers are only 30 minutes or less from Raleigh and 20 minutes from Garner. The double sinks and granite countertops are what got me. The leasing office was more than willing to work with my husband and I with moving out of state. My dog loves it here. There are so many other dog owners and it is very pet friendly. The dog park is not very lively, but I think the apartment owners are working on it. The mix of tenants is very appealing: young and old and all races. I can walk to downtown Clayton for exercise and fun community events. There are no surprise inspections or a feeling of invasion of privacy by management. They are very quick to respond to any maintenance issues and are on top of any emergency situations or weather events. My neighbors are trustworthy people who are inviting and supportive. The safe environment allows me to dwell here carefree. The PRICES are phenomenal. Why pay more to live in Raleigh when you can be just a step away in the beautiful town of Clayton? The schools here are great and the atmosphere is one of the suburbs and the country all in one. This neighborhood is up and coming and I would advise to jump on it now. Nearby cities of Garner and Cary have already been occupied and Clayton is following right behind. This is a prime destination to open a business or find a job and raise a family.

We have been living here about 5 months and love it! Location and amenities are great, as is the…read morelayout of our apartment, but the best selling point is the staff! Gina and Rachel have been so helpful and patient. We moved here from a house in the Sandhills area, and we are new to Raleigh and apartment living, so we had lots of questions. Gina and Rachel always made us feel like we were no trouble! There are also monthly events for residents. This month was a pool party and we got to know a number of the other residents. We are vegetarians, so Rachel made sure there were veggie hot dogs! It is great being part of a small community. Many of the apartment complexes we visited were too large, but Saint Mary's Square is the perfect size for us. I also love that there is a great yoga studio across the street and a beer and wine store only a block away. We also like the pool, the exercise equipment, the easy access indoor parking, so many things in walking distance and two local buses that stop right outside the door! One goes directly to Crabtree Valley mall and stops in the underground parking area, so even in bad weather, I can walk around in the mall! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone moving to Raleigh!

They offer a lot of incentives for military personnel, waved fees, things like that. They had the papers and keys ready for us the day we hit NC, so we didn't have to be in a transient period. We really liked the pool area. It has a lovely outdoor bar, pool and BBQ area. Our family really loved it when they came too. Another great thing is it's right next to a Sheetz, so if we ever needed anything we could literally walk across the street and get it. They were very accommodating when we got our dog. They didn't charge us for anything when we moved out and they made it very easy for us. We left when our 1 year lease was up because we bought a house in Clayton. You can pay your rent online, which I personally loved because it was convenient and I didn't have to take time to go into the office. I had multiple deliveries from people and they would hold it for us until we got home from work, including an edible arrangement!

Shelves in the kitchen weren't installed properly. There is no fire extinguisher. They also don't spray for bugs, at least not the right way, I have seen roaches and other scary bugs running around here. I pay almost $1000 for 600 sqft and allllllllllllll these problems. Not to mention a neighbor threatened me and poured water on me for not wearing a bra, and they ignored me when I went and complained. That same neighbor is super dirty and has glass and trash all over the outside where we have to walk. It's horrible. People here let their dog off leash, where it has caused a problem before. I moved in March of 2021 from out of state, which I see why you shouldn't ever do that lol. I'm stuck here until March. I bought a brand new couch this year, and a new tv last year; they've both been leaked on! I have rearranged my apartment over and over so either one won't get leaked on or ruined. At this point I'm scared it'll drip water into an outlet located right below the ac. Do yourself a favor and find a better community to live in.

The new company, Friedlam, has their work cut out for them, but they are the right team for the job. In the short time I've lived here I've seen them add additional staff for the office and maintenance teams. Their upgrades go beyond that. The attitude of the new staff is aware of the work they have but seeking to live up to their slogan - Live Beautiful. Every request I've had they have accommodated in a reasonable amount of time, often above my expectations. I know too that with the new management even residents who've lived here longer than me's expectations will change as well, and the folks at Friedlam are not at all scared to earn that sacred trust. I'm really happy I moved here and getting to see their noble effort firsthand, what a value!
