The atmosphere is fantastic, the pastors are real, humble and often self deprecating and the messages are from the heart, biblical based and Christ centered. The music is wonderful. Great singers especially the pastor's wife who is amazingly talented and uses her gift to inspire and invite the Holy Spirit. I no longer attend the church I used to although for a while I was attending both in an effort to make the decision. I love that there are 4 services and that there is also a YouTube option. The services are all very well attended. The church is clean and the grounds are lovely. I thoroughly recommend Victory Family Church if you are looking for a church home and a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

The prayer room was helpful. This was a convention in which a lot of business had to be done. There wasn't much agreement as to how it should be done. The prayer room came in handy. Pastor Paul Cunningham is a terrible leader and a worse human being…read more Our Director of Children's Ministries was abruptly fired. Senior Pastor Paul Cunningham stated, "She was a square peg in a round hole, and not a good fit." He also told her "there was nothing wrong." When Paul was asked how long this had been planned, she was told it was "really none of her business". Rude. Firing someone for no cause when there is "nothing wrong" is rude enough. In a later meeting when Paul was asked why she couldn't have been asked to step down, resign or simply tell her the church was going a different direction he had no answer, because there is no logical explanation! In my opinion he was either, too thoughtless to consider that or has SOMETHING PERSONAL AGAINST HER AND HER FAMILY and wanted the whole family out of the church. Not a smart business decision or one of compassion you would expect from Westmoore Community Church, a church who claims to accept everyone. Our Director of Children's Ministries was completely blindsided by this decision. There was no warning given, nothing that would indicate her job was in jeopardy. She was not even allowed to defend herself. "Nothing is wrong" "your just not a good fit" and "it's a done deal". This is how she was treated after her and her family have been faithful servants of WCC for 16 years. In fact, this position was offered to her by WCC. She did not apply for it. Westmoore Community Church sought her out. Needed her! She was happily employed at the time and quit her job to work for Westmoore Community Church. Who thought she was a great fit! After a 2-month interim period she was offered the job permanently which she held for two years. Because she was a great fit! What changed? Andy Tilly was hired and praised by Paul as someone we can't pay enough. Recently a consulting firm has been hired by WCC for coincidentally, about the same amount the Director of Children's Ministries was being paid. 44,000.00 dollars. With payments due monthly of about 3700.00. Its no secret the church is downsizing. The building payment is more than they can afford. In my opinion the church is failing because of poor leadership. Mismanaging the congregations tithing to pay a firm to help them collect more tithing just feels deceitful. The Director of Children's Ministries position duties were split into 5 different unpaid volunteer positions. $o that i$ why $he doe$ not fit. I am disgusted by Senior Pastor Paul Cunningham. No warning. No discussion. WCC does not act like a Christian Church, WCC just cast her and her family out without warning. "The church of the MESSED UP" fits perfectly because THAT is MESSED UP! It doesn't stop there. She was offered a severance package and told Pastor Paul she would need to think about it. She texted and e-mailed several staff members over the next two days attempting to accept the severance and did not receive a response. In my opinion the severance package was not a genuine offer. It was an obvious attempt to buy her silence regarding some of the nefarious decisions being made by WCC leadership. If this was a financial issue why not be honest like you would expect from a church pastor? I really feel there is something reprehensible going on and have urged the denomination to investigate the accounting practices and leadership of Westmoore Community Church. I really care about WCC members and don't want to see them taken advantage of. If you are looking for a good church try Victory Church where many of the good people who formerly attended Westmoore now attend. Westmoore Community Church is a waste of time. WCC really is The Flock That ROCKS…read more Back on Christmas Eve, just before moving to Oklahoma City, my mom made me promise her I would find a church to call home. Westmoore Community Church happens to be just outside my front door. (Literally, I can see their building from my front door.) I was raised as a Southern Baptist -- but in recent years I only went once or twice a year with my mom (Easter and Christmas, maybe one other time if I happened to be south of the Ohio River). In the meantime, I had sort of grown disillusioned with church. I didn't feel like I belonged. That all changed when I came to Westmoore. From the first word, I felt comfortable. The building is well constructed and the bathrooms have space for me to move and do what I need to when I need to (even though again...5 minutes from my front door) which is a consideration anywhere I go. The worship is contemporary, which I like. I feel like I belong and like I can be useful somewhere within this church. It's led me to claim WCC as my new church home -- and what's more, it's actually gotten me excited about waking up at 7am to go to church again! Needless to say, WCC just earned a 5 from me.

It also takes time and an effort on your end to get to know people and make it a great experience. Don't expect to walk in wearing your bitterness and it be an amazing experience. Trust me it doesn't work that way. You have to open yourself up otherwise the experience will be awful. It is what you make it.

Visited this church on their annual kid's "Back to School Bash" celebration. Free for everyone,…read morethey handed out school supplies, Little Caesar's pizza slices, had games, inflatables, booths from local businesses, a climbing wall tower, even a short zip line. We showed up early, but already the line to get in was long and snaking through the gym and church. Much of the staff was very friendly, making sure the kids all had a good time. But the event was very short. It took so long to get in, we only had enough time to eat and do a few games. Not enough time for many of the activities. Then while still full of attendees, men we had not seen before showed up and began tearing the place down. They took the tent down around tables full of diners. I overheard the group of men talking as if the visitors were just a nuisance, to heard them all off the property. It was very rude. So was it all for show?? Just an excuse to corner parents on which church they attend, get their information and cold call them at a later date? I'm not very religious, but my family goes to community activities wherever they may be as often as we can. It's a great way to get to know your community and neighbors. But never have I been asked which church I belong to so many times, over and over. It made the friendly smiles feel disingenuous. At first I thought it was nice to see them giving back to the community. But now I'm just not sure. Want to show off your facilities? Sure that's fine. But how about letting your actions speak for themselves and leave the recruiting for another day. Or if you must, relegate it to a handful of members, pin badges on them, invite visitors to ask questions. But let us come to you, not the other way around.
