If you are considering moving to Tacara at Stone Oak, think twice. This community is severely…read moreoverpriced for what it offers, and management consistently fails to address serious resident concerns.
The walls and floors are paper-thin, making it nearly impossible to enjoy peace and quiet in your own home. Despite lease agreements that are supposed to protect residents, there is little to no enforcement when it comes to excessive noise, illegal parking, late-night parties, speeding, car racing, pets pooping everywhere , and even glass containers being brought into the pool area.
When residents report these issues and provide evidence, management's response is typically, "Call the police." If residents are expected to handle these problems themselves, what exactly is management doing beyond collecting rent? Most rent payments are automated anyway.
Parking is another ongoing issue. Vehicles are routinely parked on curbs, blocking access to garages and making it difficult for residents to enter and exit their homes. Complaints are ignored and no meaningful action is taken.
The noise is constant. Parties continue well beyond quiet hours, and the sound of banging, shouting, and disturbances is common. By the time police arrive, everything suddenly becomes quiet, leaving residents stuck dealing with the same recurring problems night after night.
Car racing and reckless driving are completely out of control. Just a few hours after the leasing office closes, the sounds of screeching tires and speeding vehicles can be heard throughout the property. This creates a dangerous environment for residents, children, and pets.
The property itself is poorly maintained. Apartment doors throughout the community have visible mold on them, despite being common areas that should be cleaned and maintained by management. The gym is rundown and lacks proper security because the glass entrance door is not adequately secured.
Perhaps the most concerning issue is the complete lack of security. Anyone can easily gain access through either gate and enter the community. Rather than fixing the problem, management simply sends notices asking residents not to allow vehicles to follow them through the gates. Residents are not security guards. It is management's responsibility to ensure that access to the property is restricted to authorized residents and guests.
To make matters worse, maintenance employees have been seen riding around the property in golf carts while smoking, despite this being advertised as a smoke-free community.
For the amount of rent being charged, residents should expect a safe, secure, clean, and well-managed environment. Unfortunately, Tacara at Stone Oak fails to provide those basic expectations.
If you value your peace of mind, safety, and quality of life, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Tacara at Stone Oak is not worth the high rent, and based on my experience, it is not a safe or properly managed community
