I would highly recommend the massages I have received at the Elements on Salmon Creek. Jackie is a caring and extremely experienced masseuse who listens and does a great job. She is a joy. Massage = 5 stars. What I highly don't recommend is the relentless hard sell to become a member while paying for the massage and trying to leave. When a paying customer politely says "no thank you", it might be a good idea to stop the pitch and listen to the customer. The membership pitch at the end ruins what could be a wonderful massage experience. Paying for the massage = 1 star. Probably won't be back. read more

Came here today because my neck/shoulder hurt and then I stayed at a hotel and the pillow made it worse so I needed to get a massage asap. I saw Karen- worst massage of my life, I wish there was a safe word you could just say so you could get up and leave because it was a such a waste of time. I asked her for more pressure because I could barely even feel the "massage" she said she will. Well it never came. All she did it was lightly rub my skin with lotion. If I wanted a lotion rub down I would have asked my husband. I could also feel her nails scraping against my skin and listened to her stomach make noises for a hour. I don't know she was hungry or digesting- obviously she can't control that but there was no music in the room so I just got to lay there with her rubbing lotion on me and listen to her stomach make noises for an hour. What a waste of $100! The front desk girls were really nice. read more

I didn't do any research coming in to getting my first prenatal massage. And usually I do- just so i know whose my masseuse and what they specialize in. But I was like eh- let me try them out first and go from there. The scheduling process is pretty simple, I created an online account and they gave me a call a few days later to confirm my information for the appointment. At this time (2/3/23) I got the 90 minute prenatal massage at member price ($119) which would've been a ($165) massage for nonmember. They sent me the forms to fill out before heading to the appointment, which was nice because then you're greeted and asked if you want to use the restroom and have some water while you wait till your appointment time (which is on the dot). For first time clients, I was introduced to Brenda and she walked me through the massage and what to expect. She consulted with me about areas I wished to be worked on more- which she really took into consideration because it was amazing and I felt that my problem areas that day were treated (lower back and neck) During the prenatal massage, she had me on my sides and switched halfway through to work on either left / right side. This was fine for me as I didn't expect to nap since I was a little tense being my first massage, pregnant. I would rate the massage I had more of a deep tissue / pressure point massage. Which is definitely what I needed. You can say what pressure you wanted (light or firm) and say how comfortable you are with the areas being touched. Overall, such a great first time experience. I decided to go with the monthly membership with is $119 for 90 minutes. They give you 2 dates to choose when the payment will be deducted (1st day or 15th day of each month). When you're ready to cancel your membership, you're able to do so with a 30 day notice. If you want make it to the appointment for that month, you're able to roll them over and use them within the year of the date of appointment. Just amazing stuff that comes with the membership. My favorite, is adding my husband for the price of ONE- yes you read that correctly. $119 for me and my husband. AMAZING. Definitely coming back with Brenda as my masseuse. read more

Elements Massage - Salmon Creek - Post Massage. - Massage Near Me - Vancouver, Washington

TW SA: To put it briefly - DO NOT GO HERE. IT IS UNSAFE. As another reviewer has mentioned I received a deeply troubling experience here by one of the male masseurs and he received no accountability (other than the "retraining." ick) Absolutely disgusting. He never asked me what I needed, never asked for consent to touch certain areas, got onto the table while I was face down, pulled my legs apart and pushed my butt upwards twice. Never in my life have I experienced such a deep lack of respect for massage, my body, or my comfort. I communicated to the manager about this and they were disinterested. They talked to me and said sorry and did .... NOTHING. This happened in May, the other happened in September, and guess what - he's still working there in November. They also blocked the ability for to review on their site. It saddens me to see their only course of action is "retraining" especially when its happening repeatedly. Stay away. read more

Karen definitely LIVES UP TO HER NAMEEE. I work in the medical field and i am HIGHLY aware that chemotherapy is harmful to people who AREN'T receiving it. HOWEVER Being off of chemo for OVER A YEAR IS NOT GOING TO AFFECT ANYBODY ELSE OTHER THAN THE PERSON RECEIVING THE MASSAGE (Think of pain in the area), I understand being declined service due to receiving chemotherapy, regardless of how long it has been BUT what i am very angry about is the fact someone i know was not only DECLINED service BUT, was told to undress and lay in the bed and WHILE she was undressed in bed, The front office person comes in and EMBARRASSED HER WHILE UNDRESSED. The fact that Karen was "uncomfortable" because of this and couldn't even say it to her face and instead has to have somebody else come in to become the messenger is so sad. Karen told the person i know to undress and lay in bed as if she was gonna do the massage and then (while undressed) has someone else FROM THE FRONT DESK (while undressed) come in and tell her (while undressed) that Karen was uNcOmFy and that she was essentially being declined service is appalling to me. Not only that she was also being told that the paperwork wasn't filed correctly but PLEASE SHOW ME WHERE IN THE PAPERWORK IT SAYS THAT SERVICE WOULD BE DELCINED BECAUSE OF CANCER. WHERE. IN. THE. PAPERWORK. IS. IT???? Why is there no tab or check mark or A DISCLAIMER SAYING THAT CANCER = NO SERVICE also please explain why Karen was acting like cancer is a contagious as the bubonic plague. Karen's actions today was not only sad, but it was pathetic. Treating a ex-cancer patient as somebody who has the bubonic plague is genuinely pathetic behavior. Having someone else come in to become the messenger is cowardly behavior. Constantly referencing the "paperwork wasn't filed correctly" even though the "paperwork" doesn't even have any questions that are even remotely close to Chemo, or Cancer was so messed up. Do not recommend this place if you are dealing with cancer, dealt with cancer, or are in remission. 0/10 read more

I've had 2 great experiences at Elements. My massage therapist was Serine the first time. I felt really rejuvenated after a 90 minute massage. The next time I had Chi as Serine was not available. He was also wonderful, got a very deep massage with gentle hands. I will be going back and also getting appointments for my mom. 90 minutes seem to be the best for me, just that little bit more does wonders. read more

Can't recommend this place. They made several billing errors. They spilt payment on two cards, but we never provided the second card. When we asked how they did this, they simply said they didn't have that card on file so it was impossible. When we showed them that they actually did do it, they couldn't figure out how they did it and never offered to refund the card and charge correctly. We still don't know how they acquired that card information. They also added our card to some random person's account. I never signed up for a membership, my husband did. And I didn't want to go anymore because of the errors so he paused the account. When he wanted to cancel it, they wouldn't let him and said I had to do it. So I had to call them multiple times (even though I never signed up for this account) to get them to cancel it. When I returned the form, they claimed they never got it and wouldn't cancel it. I had to follow up with them several times before they actually confirmed cancellation. The massage therapist Andrea is fantastic and if we only had to deal with her, we would still be members. But the front staff is not knowledgeable and makes too many errors. read more

Bethany is an absolute god send! I've been dealing with low back pain and sciatic and she was so kind and attentive making sure to bring me some relief. Not only did she focus on my trouble zone, she made sure to check my entire back, neck and shoulders for more locked up tension. I signed up to become a member and already scheduled an appointment for next week: thank you!! read more

I would never recommend this place to anyone. My massage therapist was extremely unprofessional talking about her own personal problems during my massage and then going on and saying "i'll shut up now" in turn making me feel weird and uncomfortable. I booked my massage online and added additional cupping as an add on and when i was leaving my massage i paid with a gift card i had received for christmas and i asked "do i owe any extra" the receptionist told me "not unless you want to tip" I left cash and went on with my day. I then checked my bank account and was charged an additional $25 with no knowledge from Elements that i was being charged anything else. I then called to let them know what had happened and I was told "Sorry" and that i could get a "free cupping on my next massage" I politely told the manager no thank you I will not be a returning customer. I have never had such and unprofessional experience in my life. read more

Amazing! Enjoyed my facial at Elements! I will be back over and over. Relaxing atmosphere and could t have relaxed more

6/10, had Leah. The masseuse seemed a little timid and only covered the lower half of arms and legs. 8/10 for the foot massage, that was on point. read more

I'm an icu nurse, and it's been very stressful working during covid. I finally decided I need to relax and get a massage. I scheduled an appointment and was really looking forward to it. When they called and I told them I work with covid cases, they said they can't take me in. I understand that so I said I'll test and will bring the results when I come, and they still denied me. I'm very disappointed and saddened for their lack of support. Shannon s. read more

Brenda was amazing and spent a lot of time working out the various knots throughout my back. She consistently checked on me to ensure the pressure wasn't too soft or hard. I signed up for a membership and am so happy I can make this a monthly routine! read more

I just had a hour massage, pro: 60 min contact time. Cons: there is a lot first, I don't know if Angel was fresh out of massage school or what but his strokes were choppy, and were not fluid. Second I nicely let him know of my ear piercing and to be careful. He not only hit them once but three times. I left more sore than when I came in. When I left the front desk lady asked how my massage was, I replied not good. She said they could "upgrade" me next one. I explained that I won't come back here again. I would rather go to North Portland for a far superior massage. So in short my massage sucked and out of professional curiosity I left a small tip. If I wanted to be a real jerk I would not have left anything and refused to pay for this substandard massage. read more

Good place to get a massage. That's not why I am writing a one star review. The therapists I have worked with Why I *am* writing a one-star review is that this particular massage studio decided it was permissible to reinstate a membership that I had cancelled, 4 months after I had declined to renew and let them know I would decide. Apparently their policy is to put these memberships on hold (which is incredulous as I had explicitly asked to cancel). Take your money elsewhere. The therapists are good, but the business practices are not. read more

i've had a lot of massages in my life but this was, i'm pretty sure, the best one i've ever had. my masseuse, i can't remember his name but he was amazing & absolutely attacked every single knot in my back. i was actually sore the next day, which has never happened, & i feel some of the knots are actually gone. it's amazing because i've really gotten hundreds of massages & while i felt great after all of them this one was like everything that i needed. i'm getting a 2 hour massage with the same person in 2 weeks, instantly signed up for a membership, & booked one for my husband for father's day! read more

Would not recommend this place for a relaxing massage. It is more for getting work done on some pain

I've been going to Elements massage in Salmon Creek for years now. Their receptionists are super friendly. I like that they have lots of different masseuse's on staff and how it's always super clean. Also love their app for scheduling appointments and that they are open long hours. I highly recommend Cherry and Brenda! read more

TL;DR: Unusually expensive. Rude, unprofessional, unsympathetic, panicky owner/manager. Threatened me. Tried to overcharge me multiple times. Wasted 2 bonus hours dealing with these people when all I wanted was a 1 hour massage. They must have a lot of loyal clients because they sure don't care about getting new ones. LEAST relaxing experience I've had all year, and that's saying something, given what year it is. --- Booked an appointment online as a new client, drove half an hour to get there, only to be told that I was "in the system, but we don't have an appointment booked for you." Got asked to come back the next day. So far, one hour wasted. Disappointing, but okay, sometimes websites fail. I go back the next day. Massage is fine. I get told it will be $99. I told them, I'm a new client, and I got the "new client special" emailed to me, here's the code. I was told it would be $69 when I booked. They responded, "Sorry, we can't honor that deal since you are paying with a gift card." But neither the gift card nor the new client special email said anything about that restriction. I wait while the kid behind the counter calls various people and eventually tells me that they apparently "changed the rules recently" and actually they will honor the new client offer after all. Great. So then they try to redeem my gift card. Doesn't work even though it's a brand new gift card and I checked the balance before I got there. I stand there for 20 minutes while more phone calls are made. At this point, my massage has been over for nearly 30 minutes. I just want to go home. I talk to the manager on the phone. She threatens to call the cops if I don't give them my credit card to charge instead of the gift card. She doesn't take responsibility for the fact that they seem to be having yet another computer issue. Needless to say, I feel uncomfortable giving these people my credit card info at this point. I offer to just leave the gift card with them, since I can print another copy of it at home, and they can simply deduct the $69 once their system is working again. They tell me they will actually charge me $100, not $69, because they "can't just charge a portion of the gift card", even though it clearly states on the gift card "If full balance is not completely used, please return the eGift Card to the customer." Eventually I was forced to give them my credit card, which made me extremely uncomfortable. So much for getting a nice massage as gift. The manager/owner never once apologized for their multiple failures. She took no responsibility and even told me multiple times it was all my fault. She didn't care at all about the hour I wasted driving there for an appointment that never made it to their system, even though somehow everything else I filled out online did. She never apologized for the almost 45 minutes I stood around waiting after my massage while they tried to figure out how to redeem a gift card. She threatened and yelled at me. She certainly didn't do what I would expect any business owner who wants a new customer to do: apologize for the inconveniences, be nice, protect your reputation, consider just comping the appointment so that I could leave and get home to my family, especially given the stress, embarrassment, wasted time, and overall awful experience they had provided. On top of all that, this place's 1 hour massage is about $25-30 more expensive than other options in the area. There are obnoxious signs all over the place telling you how much to tip, minimum 15%. How are these people still in business? read more

Felt very rushed when filling out the intake forms. On the intake form, in additional to my back massage, I wrote that I'd like the therapist to also focus on my feet and head which I also talked directly to her (Chelsey) about before the massage session but she either didn't listen very well or forgot because I only got a back massage... Massage didn't last an hour like I was told it would be. The lights were almost fully on and the atmosphere was not super relaxing. Not worth the price in my opinion. First and last time going there. read more

I had scheduled a massage for my fiancee and I for 1 hr. With my fiancee she didn't get the quality of what is to be expected from massage therapist's, i think he was fresh out of massage school. My therapist was Michele. Not only did I get a half-ass "full body" massage but she didnt massage my glutes, hamstrings, calfs. And thighs. She kept the sheet on my legs covered the entire time. When it came to my upper body my chest was not even massaged or core. When I left my right shoulder was still in pain and didn't feel relaxed at all. I will not be back and rather take my business elsewhere for a better quality massage. When I left they asked how it was and I told them I was less then to expected. They also asked if I wanted to scheduel another one and I said no! For common curtosy I left a small tip read more

They take insurance! Louellen is amazing! Just had my first massage with her, she is very skilled and really gives a holistic approach. I have a lot of tension from my job and she really worked my problem areas and at the end showed me stretches to improve my overall health. I really value someone who knows her job well and obviously is passionate about it. You can tell she is well liked because she is booked out a few weeks. The business itself is wonderful too. A beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. The girls at the front are very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is whoever does the insurance scheduling is hard to get a hold of. I had to call a few times and left multiple messages to finally get an appointment. But the rest of the experience makes up for her short comings. Hence the 5 star review :) read more

I've had two massages by Matt and they've been fantastic! He's personable but also not too talkative, so I was able to really relax both times. During my first visit, I asked him to use stronger pressure to really work my knots out. My 2nd visit was more soothing, and I nearly fell asleep several times. Awesome that he's able to perform both styles of massage. I left feeling like I was floating both times. Highly recommend Matt! And the CBD add on. read more

Cash also sent me home with some stretch recommendations. I walked out feeling amazing and will definitely be back to see him! read more

I've been twice to this location and have been extremely pleased with both experiences. Both times I've gone were due to extreme lower back pain. The massage therapists listened to my concerns and focused on providing relief. The gal at the front desk was wonderful as well. She engaged in conversation while I waited and was genuinely interested in making sure I received the service I was looking for (relief!!). While something like this seems trivial, it really makes a big difference in the overall experience. This office isn't the closest to my home but I continue to drive to salmon creek because I continue to have great experiences. Definitely recommend if you're in the market for a great massage! read more

I generally love Elements Massage and have been a member for a very long time. I was a faithful member of the Carlsbad, Ca. location who had very professional massage therapists. I love LouElllen, she is amazing when I can book her at the Vancouver location. However a few times I have had a massage by Mitch. Although he seems like a very nice guy, he really doesn't give good massages or know what he's doing. He talked about himself thru most of the massage. I got to hear about his "cutting saw accident" and how he was out of work for 2 weeks. He cut off the tip of his finger. Ok sure, I have sympathy for him, but really? Do you think you should tell the person your given a professional massage to that? Look, we all have problems, but please don't share yours with me when I paid for your professional service! read more

Came for an hour couples massage. Ambiance of both the waiting room and therapy rooms was peaceful and relaxing, not overly hippie dippy, perfect setting for therapy or a massage getaway. Both masseuses were kind and friendly, making sure the pressure and areas of therapy were appropriate. Pricing is fair for the work and time. Tipping can be done in cash in an envelope in the room or after the massage in any form with the receptionist. Free water bottles are also a nice feature they provide! read more

Just recently got a massage here, Ryan was fantastic! I've never experienced something like that. Very professional and I never felt uncomfortable. I have been getting massages for years, and I've had a lot better massages than the two I received here, this place is a joke. When the massage was over, I was walking out past the receptionist and she asked me how the massage was, and also asked me how much of a tip I would like to leave the massage therapist. First of all if the massage was good enough to leave a tip you might get a tip, the receptionist should not have to pressure you to give a tip. Maybe if you had better massage therapists, and paid them better they would not have to beg for tips. I was not impressed with this place at all, and I will not be back or recommending this place to anyone. read more

I enjoyed a nice massage at Elements about a year ago and thought I would book a massage this week. I called, scheduled an appointment, and the receptionist told me she needed a credit card to secure the appointment. I told her I would pay for it tomorrow (I didn't have my wallet immediately available) She said this was necessary because some don't keep their appointments. I told her to cancel my appointment. Maybe I am being picky, but this isn't what I'm looking for. I have never not shown for an appointment. read more

I recently moved to Washington and was trying to find a good massage therapist. I called elements on Saturday to make an appointment for Sunday. There were no appointments available. So, I scheduled an appointment for their first available appointment. I show up for my scheduled appointment and the receptionist tells me, "we don't have you on our schedule, and we don't even have you in our system." There was no mention of We are sorry can we reschedule or anything like that. I understand mistakes are made. However, to not even make an effort to somehow make it up to the customer just baffles me. I guess I will be taking my business elsewhere. They obviously don't care about customer satisfaction. read more

I have gotten a massage here at Elements about 5 different times, and almost every time the massage therapists where very chatty. So much so that it took away from me really enjoying my massage. The last time that I got a massage, it was horrible. As soon as I came in, the massage therapist asked if I wanted full body massage. I said NO, Please just my back. That is my main problem and I am wasting my money and time getting anything else massaged. But in the middle of the massage, she proceeded to work her way down my arms and spend SO much time on my hands. and then she practiaclly begged me to let her rub my feet. (what does she have a foot fedish or something?) She was extremely talkative the whole time, which really irritated me. And was also very socially awkward, and she was just talking about personal things... Not even having to deal with massage. ALSO, she used way way wayy too much oily lotion, and was also consistantly mixing it was HAND SANITIZER !! And after she didn't even offer me a towel. . . Like I want to ruin my clothes with her oily lotion all over it.... -_- I think it is safe to say I am NEVER going back there again. That last massage was the cherry on top of a bunch of other so-so ones. I do not reccomend this place. Go to hand-and-stone or massage evny PLEASE. somewhere that they actually listen to you. read more

Overcharged by this establishment. Bank statements showed 2 massages I never received. I called to have them credit my account and was told I would get gift cards. bought my wife a massage here for her birthday and she was very disappointed. the therapist talked the whole time even though my wife did not engage in the conversation and just wanted to relax. not only did she talk throughout the session, but she also felt it was okay to talk about sensitive social issues like abortion and politics to someone she doesn't know who is paying for a service. my wife never has the chance to relax and when she called me after her massage and told me about her experience I feel as if I wasted my money and my wife's time. bottom line--do not force conversation on a captive audience ESPECIALLY if you are going to talk about negative topics and force your views on someone who just wants to get the massage they paid for. very disappointed and certainly would not go back. read more
