To anyone who complains that it gets busy during peak times I say, yes, but where DOESN'T it get busy during peak times? That's just the nature of peak times, and this place doesn't seem to be any worse. There are enough cardio and weights machines for everyone. The dumbbell situation is no worse than at any other gym, but they just got nice new ones, so that's a bonus. They have a nice warm-up/calisthenics area off to the side, and I've even noticed (though obviously not gone into) a hidden women's corner, I guess where the ladies can work with the lighter free weights without guys around. The only place where they really need improvement is the squatting racks. They only have three, and for a gym this size, they really should have at least one more. It would also be nice if the squat racks were in front of the mirrors instead of the Smith machines. That just makes no sense. I can't speak to the showers because I live close enough that I can just shower at home, but I understand that you need to pay 50 cents for a towel and something similar for shower use. Hey, at €16 per month, this place is still a steal. I'm a fan.

And here I was thinking that Sunday was supposed to be the "day of rest" ;). In any event, the gym space was adequate, the machines looked well maintained, and the area was not too crowded. If I could give them one suggestion, it would be to alternate TVs with actual TV shows and the other TVs with whatever McFit thing they were playing today. I did not use the shower facilities this time, but I'm sure if they are anything like the rest of the gym, they are equally as adequate. I'm looking forward to get my beach bod on!

Per E-Mail wurde mir zuerst gesagt, eine Übernahme sei nur bis max. 4 Monate vor Vertragsende möglich und daher zu spät. Als ich darauf hingewiesen habe, dass ich mich bereits am 27.09. gemeldet hatte (also rechtzeitig), kam plötzlich eine komplett andere Begründung: "Auch dann nicht möglich, da eine Vertragsübernahme mindestens 14 Tage vor Vertragsbeginn erfolgen muss." Für mich wirkt das so, als würden die Regeln spontan geändert, nur um bloß keine Lösung anbieten zu müssen - bevor ich am 27.09. ins Studio kam, hatte ich selbstverständlich angerufen - dort hieß es, es sei noch nicht zu spät. Ich habe mit drei Mitarbeitern gesprochen und drei verschiedene Aussagen erhalten. Fazit: Wer hofft, im Problemfall auf Fairness oder Kulanz zählen zu können, ist bei Body & Soul definitiv falsch. Hier geht es eindeutig nicht um den Kunden, sondern nur um Vertragslaufzeiten. Klare Nicht-Empfehlung.

The equipment is fairly new and everything is clean. I like the variety of machines they have. The gym has 3 floors, designated equipment for each one of them. 2nd mostly cardio (treadmills) and machines for weight training, 3rd - free weights. For some reason my band wasn't working one day (Sat 2018-05-26 13:00) and the member of staff they had working there was simply the rudest person I've ever met in my year living in Germany (young woman, blonde). Completely refused to help me, kept repeating some nonsense that my gym subscription doesn't allow my to visit other gyms despite the fact I have done it 10+ times before. I had to phone my local gym (she also refused to look up the number for me) and explain the situation to them and they spoke to this woman on the phone and sorted it out. She then opened the gate, didn't apologise, and refused to explain what had gone wrong. This woman simply barked 'eintritt! eintritt!' at me -- disgusting. However I didn't let one ignorant woman make me as miserable as she is and I had a great time training. My subscription is coming up for renewal this September and I am considering to cancel over this event. A pox on this cleverfit!
