These guys have a great location near the Kitzbuhel parking lot and main gondola, and they have excellent gear, but the thing that sets them apart is their personality and friendliness. I've rented from Element3 three times now on different trips, and I'm not sure why I would go anywhere else.
The rental process is pretty straightforward... you walk to the back of the shop where there are two computers, and you enter your information there. (Once you've entered it once, the system will recall all of your info again on future visits, which saves a bit of time, and helps you remember what sizes you had.) The printer spits out a receipt, and the staff helps you find what you need.
The prices are a bit high, but for the service and entertainment value, it works for me. On a two-day trip I took a pair of boots that were a bit too large, and the skis I had didn't feel quite right after the first day. So they swapped out boots and skis (essentially a brand new setup) for day two with no complaints. read more
